How Ironic
I experienced a little fps drop on Taris as well. But nothing serious. =) As for the light sources: the of them more need to be calculated simultaneously the more it will devastate your fps -on a slow GPU. GeForce2/Radeon 7500 pro have no problem with 2 lightsources at once, but that depends on how many other effects it must calculate at the same time. On the X-Box version I presume...? Throw a few grenades to decimate enemies fast, I guess. :ok!

Autopatcher
Autopatcher is "ok", but I would like to see normal patch files be availabe as well. BioWare uses the "critical rebuild" instead. That

Reason for console version appearing before PC
That s true-for the US. In europe it was different! Statistically US citizens play more games on a console (they often have more than one), and use their pc for internet browsing and dvd video mostly (applications which require less powerful hardware). CAN/Australia spread of pc/consoles is different as well.

So, what do you think?
Heh, I guess the devs are on vacation...

PC version more "polished"?
Several games that are released for the "aged" consoles these days press them to their limits. If you experience a crash many reasons could be possible. Possibly a driver issue, hardware limits; hardware combinations/driver communication difficulties; insufficient cooling of: graphics card, prozessor, mainboard northbridge(!)*, ram(different types may cause read errors etc.); hdd (though rarely an issue, it may depend on the individual product); problems with the OS (using service packs can help-especially for win2k). *I experienced crashes some day. I found out that the cooler of the northbridge was defect. I removed the old one and installed a new passive cooled one..> no chrashes anymore =)

Icewind Dale 3
I prefer BG and P:T. the IWD games were too short, their story rather weak(especially IWD2). I know BIS could have done much better but Interplay forced them to release their games too early. I hope Obsidian will spend more time on polishing their games. So many publisher force the dev teams to push the games on the marked, especially before christmas... every year the same...

PC version more "polished"?
Never had that happen to me in any of my play throughs (all 7 of them) of KOTOR I. Weird. I thought KOTOR I was near flawless in terms of no serious bugs or problems I had with it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Weird indeed... that bug happened, so they fixed it in a patch... but still it does happen to me.... When it happens I still get max hit points at the end of levelling up but since the character values drop to 8, I only receive 1 skill point... ergo: I have to reload. Most often to restart the game. That happens to me under Win2k and WinXP. I have had this odd bug on 3 different systems....so it is an issue. Thus I save before *every* level up. I had another weird bug once, where I lost all my credits. Going back to an earlier savegame did not work. The bug kept coming. Thus I used a cheat to get my money back, But then you get a yellow "CHEAT" on every savegame. I felt so angry.

TABLES!
Unfortunately most people seem to hate manuals. A shame. If more people ask for detailed and well written manuals that would be great.

So, what do you think?
I don t care whether it goes gold today or tomorrow, but: DON`T PRESS THE RELEASE! DELIVER A STABLE AND ENJOYING GAME! USE THE ADVANTAGE OF THE PC! Thank you Obsidian!

PC version more "polished"?
What I definetly hope for in kotor2 is a fix that removes that stupid bug that sets my ability scores to "8" when I level up. Even with all patches for kotor1 installed, it happens to me again and again. freaking annoying!

PC version more "polished"?
Technically speaking, writting code/development for a console is much simpler then a PC. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> they are using an engine designed for the PC. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But developing a game for pc and xbox is rather simple, because of microsoft support, directX etc. psx and g-cube is a different thing.

Should Bastila Return?
- Romance interests
Mission Vao or other high level characters could join later in the game... Maybe you meet them first, just as Canderous Ordo at level 2, but he joins you when you are more powerful. It could be done like that. As a romance I- Should Bastila Return?
To each his own. I hated Bastila- Alien Party mambers
But in KotoR2 Mission would be 19 years old. Perfect for a romance, no?- Alien Party mambers
What about a *NEW* race?- In Depth Character Creation
I just hope the devs will use the advantage of the pc technology (more shader effects, *cough*). Scars, a lost eye, or other remarkable things as well as a character sheet where you can add/change looks. and an improved journal....and new items...and....new dialogues and ...- Suggestions Forum
