True. But HK-50 is a droid. (:D) And droids are not permissible (which is was why everyone was so fooled; they didn't expect him to disobey orders).
-
Really?Hmm Well I'd rather take over Asimov's Robots and Foundation Universe Tho SW would do  <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep, Picasso died a pauper and Sunflowers sold in the last decade for

How dare you say that about Canderous? Canderous is god. o_O But he would get his ass kicked by Exile and Revan but he's my favorite character. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Candyman is only good for sharing Mical's joie de vivre.

Just now noticing this, huh? You must be new. Welcome to the KOTOR community. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ... and the joy of stream-of-consciousness word association. :D

Chaotic Good. :D

I finally finished the game for the first time.

Yes yes yes. I liked the elements of Pergasus. I liked the polish and the depth. I didn't like having to jump through every hoop every time. The narrative was singular until we left got to the Ebon Hawk. no choices. No branches. Just jump through all the hoops. -
... Their lightsabers definitely are.

Yep. Just needed to be able to skip parts of it; like short circuiting the escape with something (dangerous) that you could choose to do. Choice: the real casualty of KotOR2. -
Celebrating episode III: Kyla's fanart

Yep. Great pout. That look -- is it "whatchootalkin'bout" -
That is my take on events, it is understood that all the Jedi are either lapsed, dead (on Miraluka) or in hiding.
-
Yep, just like Popes, Nuns, Muslims, Sikhs, etc take on one of a limited set of "Holy Names" that either modify or replace their earlier names.

Ooh...but we could save all our money and make an offer after his death...it could be cheaper then <{POST_SNAPBACK}> trends indicate that IP costs go up after the death of the artist (reduction of supply), so probably better to have a hostile takeover now.

Which KotOR character would you be?

That's a bad case of ecsma your avatar has -- you might need to increase the dose of steroidal cream ... -
Canderous is a >female kitten<. (Pah! Over-active language filter.)

Well, considering the Exile killed/beat into submission Kreia, I think it is only a question of Exile versus Revan. (Which, if I'm not mistaken, has been asked about a thousand times.) Edit: seems you changed the question whilst I was writing my response. Oh well.

"... He loves and hates the ring. " Gandalf LotR. As emotions Love and Hate are not so divorced as to be polar options. It is not uncommon for people to have both feelings -- in different proportions -- simultaneously. If you are having trouble with the concept, think what you would feel if the love of your life betrayed you (e.g. by sleeping with your best friend). Your love wouldn't vapourise instantly, but you quite possibly would feel intense hurt/fear/anger/hate.

I would have voted for Sam if I were choosing from the list, but my choice would be Doom with the jdoom engine and texture packs if I had any FPS to choose from, so I voted Other. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Meh. Doom wasn't as good as Quake. The Deus Ex:IW engine is very annoying. I'm trying very hard not to let it bother me, but after λ2 it is very noticeable. As regard to sneaking around, I think it is a little more credible to use stealth as a tactic. I just don't want to be forced to use it all the time.
-
The attraction of λ2 is the immersion afforded by the realistic physics (cf. the silly physical interactions on Deus Ex:IW), great graphics (better than Doom3 if you have a top end Radeon), interesting plot (really a continuation of λ) in concert with realistic AI (so that packs of enemies actively hunt you down, whereas single foes will run away if injured). there is a terrific variety of environments (vehicles, terrain) and weapons -- playing with the Zero Point Enegy Manipulator (aka Gravity Gun) alone is worth buying the game for: slicing through zombies with bandsaw blades. (Valve have said in a recent interview that they don't regard the game to have started until Ravenholm.) It is the only game I have consistently replayed since I purchased it. And there is two new expansions due out imminently: one (displaying a new lighting technology, called "The Lost Coast") is free and no word on pricing for "Aftermath".

Confirmed. (Even though Windows doesn't like the fact that you can have any other OS on your hardware and stringently avoids all references to it, it is relatively easy and very safe to add a mutiple boot partition.)

Nope. You're thinking JOLLY OLD ENGLAND. This country is currently in civil war because of this. (I may be exaggerating a little). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I am currently residing in the United Kingdom of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Island, and yes, until recently there was a legal right to hunt vermin with packs of slavering dogs and people in red coats. This is irrelevant to the topic, however. I was asking whether whales were granted some sort of special animal rights, because they might be considered less like "dumb animals" -- hence my corollary about the apes in Africa. Are you suggesting that "meat is murder"? (Are you a Morrissey fan? )

Smart people don't believe in god...

Now that is a flame bait interpretation of the facts. What is being argued is that gender is no basis to decide whether someone is fit to raise children. I'm sure you have encountered plenty of heterosexual couples who should have been sterilised, or at least had their breeding licence stamped "LATER". " -

I can't speak for every christian, but I don't mix my religion with my social agenda to support a free society. My questioning gay couples legally adopting children has nothing to do with my personal views of homosexuality. I only suggest that the children may be baised against heterosexual relationships, since the idea of a "gay" family unit is a synthetic invention, not a result of natural process. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, you are allowing your personal biases to colour your reasoning; let me explain: you are assuming that two loving people (who just happen to be of the same gender) will not be as capable as two people (just because they are heterosexual). I think you are placing an unwarranted emphasis on the gender of a parenting couple. You are proceeding from a false premise: I had no idea how to relate to my partner's daughter when I met her (god knows ( ) I had never met a twelve year old girl before); now she and I are great friends (she is over eighteen now). Gender is irrelevant to ability to be a good role model and citizen of society. Parents should be either an exemplar, or a strident warning. -

1. Yes. Libertarianism is the best way to prevent open warfare between people in the same society, and indeed make the society more attractive than other, more restrictive ones. 2. No. That is just an arbitrary distinction, similar to "women have smaller brain mass therefore, on average, are not as intelligent". 3. It is not an artificial facsimile. For one thing, there are laws regarding state benefits (old age/surviving partner pensions) and the ownership of chattels (death duties vary depending on marital status) and real estate. If there was no pecuniary discrimination against gay couples' civic partnerships, then "marraige" would just be a label. This is not the case. 4. It was almost mandatory to be bisexual in classical times. Alexander the Great, Achilles just about every Roman Emperor, etc. They also kept slaves and had a democracy (where women and slaves couldn't vote); though slaves were a legitimate commercial artiface (boring history of slaves can be quoted if interested). -
Just watched a news item about the naughty Norwegians who want to end the Whaling moratorium and expand hunting up to 1800 Minke whales this year. This is in addition to Iceland (?) and Japan. They caught a 4 tonne female and threw the blubber overboard (the gulls had a feeding frenzy -- not even using the blubber for rare perfumes,

Meh. I found the Thief 3 demo boring. Lots of opportunity to sneak in Deus Ex. :D
