  1. Does the Drow equipment disintergrate in daylight?
  2. ... And have a morale check versus charisma score, to attack the summoner ...
  3. NwN2 has horsies?! ) (w00t)
  4. Keep on chewing! (Boy that's a lot on your plate. I am impressed.)
  5. When you say "in love", I take it that is an admiring "agape" type love ... I mean, I know he's got a lot of attachments and stuff, but surely every woman's nightmare is a guy that paws them like he is an octopus ... "
  6. Not many US citizens know that the world has that many places. I saw an episode of Sesame Street a while back with a political outline of China and superimposed it on a map of the US (for a size comparison) -- didn't really tell the kiddies where it was, though.
  7. Arnold re-instigating a social policy last made famous by a fellow countryman over sixty years ago ...
  8. I have no issue with your logic, per se. I do think we will eventually lose the etymology of words as they change completely into new forms. (One of the irritating things about Australian English, for example, is the patently ludicrous tendency to use British spelling and US grammar -- which is almost illiterate.) I guess there will always be a recorded mapping of the new idiomatic lexicon back onto the derivations, so I will always be able to get to the true meaning of words (very important to me).
  9. You mean Romanian <{POST_SNAPBACK}> More likely Chinese. More Chinese speak English as a second language than there are native English speakers! (And this is before they invade the world.)
  10. Yeah, latin and your languages have a common root.
  11. He jumped so fast he jumped out of his costume.
  12. "are you getting sheep?" = "f
  13. One of those funny languages is unique (I think it's Icelandic), all the others have commonality, and eventually go back to sanscrit (the Indo-European language group) together with latin (and therefore the romantic languages French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, English, etc).
  14. "are you getting sheep?" = "f
  15. Now we are getting surreal. In English we have ewes (female sheep) -- homophone of second person singular and plural pronouns "you"; and wethers (castrated sheep) -- homophone of whether and weather, as in: I don't know whether the weather will be rainy tomorrow.
  16. European version of the game? I remember you had to move all the /dynamicallyloaded/ whatnot to /dittofolder/engrish/ or summin if you had the european version. Of course, I'm not even sure if you're talking about a result of having installed the texture pack or not ^_^;; <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It did ask me if I wanted the English - US or English - UK version, and I selected the latter. It did ask me about an ini file that was replaced (and of course, being an experienced technology user, I backed it up :D ), so I'll look at that and the ..\dynamicallyloaded\.. affair. Thanks for the tip.
  17. Kyla your art is superlative. I like this one: G. Grievous
  18. Experience teaches that variety is no substitute for quality.
  19. Same as the UK then.
  20. What garbage (sorry North Americans: What trash) politicians talk about in an effort to not talk about important issues. Sheesh.
  21. And Comrade is communist. What's post-communist? Glasnost? No, I know! Perestroika!
  22. Obviously, it depends on the games. I'm thinking of "Do you like horny bunnies? 2" here. " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ROFLMAO
  23. Lots of baby sacrificing, then. Cannibalism was mainly to gain the powers of the eaten, and nullify their evilness, as well, I think -- e.g. Papua New Guinea has a few isolated tribes of Head-Hunters. Of course the Aztecs did their share of human sacrifices, too, but they were late teens I think. (And they got to live literally like a king for year beforehand.) Not sure about the Mayans. Yeah, the Romans really wanted to expunge the Carthaginian civilization from history. I expect the Romans are more an historical checkpoint, in that innovations from all the societies conquered by them were assimilated. They basically invented industrial farming, turning Spain into one big olive plantation (and North Africa into a vineyard, I think). Jesus wept.
  24. No need to go that far...In London it's done every day...(wonder if they don't even use them in kebab shops)... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ewww, that's right: there was a police investigation last year that ended up in the Congo, I think. I still don't think they ate him, though (but they aren't a million miles away ). Still that was a young boy. Even if we have to make the definition in months, hedck even days or hours or even pre-natal, I still think we've hit a barrier and therein lies our tenet of moral universality!
