  1. Are you turning the other cheek?
  2. ? Menace to common sense? Menace to good taste? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think we can see who's the bigger menace to good taste here. :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How magnanimous of you to graciously admit your failings. +1 TOMBS
  3. Fundamentalist Christian Evangelicals make up the largest single religious grouping in the United States. (CBS)

There are two more articles, called "Particles of faith" and "Glad to be gullible". They are each as long as the above, so I might try to scan them in rather than type them out. Particles of faith Belief seems intangible until you take a close look inside the brain, says Alison Motluk Glad to be gullible Some people believe in the weirdest things. They may be onto something, says Clare Wilson ...
  8. An eye for an eye. Burn down their embassies, burn their flags, hold demostrations. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Torah uses "eye-for-an-eye" comment is a plea for leniency in retaliation. The contemporary position was blinding someone completely for their taking out your eye. Any religious extremism is dangerous and needs to be stopped. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, but at the present, which one is the most dangerous? You're fooling yourself if you think any other religious extremism is more pervasive or posing a bigger threat to the world at the present moment. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't know about that ... "
  9. The mouse is far and away a better interface. It certainly won't work to optimum efficacity on a lap; it doesn't lend itself to lounge-room game playing. Whether it is a show-stopper for occidental RPGs is another matter. This assumes that console users have been given a choice between the two types of RPGs of equal quality. Not sure that has been the case. Why do Japanese consoles have to be dominated by JRPGs? Unless it depends on the controller, which it doesn't, then there is no reason to suppose that branching stories and multiple endings with different characters can't be the norm. Unless there is another limiting factor of consoles, like hardware (RAM, GPU, etc). Disco!

  12. Really? Not having conducted any tests myself, I am at the mercy of others that do. I have no reason to doubt Custom PC; their methodology looks sound and they seem to provide common-sensical results that don't pander to any particular manufacturer ... who did your test?
  13. Might just be support troops. The Australians have a bunch of soldiers, all in support positions, except for a platoon or two of SAS running amok in the wilderness ... no casualties: only the poor troops trying to keep order are in a duckshoot. Soldiers aren't police. Different remit. Different purpose.

  16. Still a young tech (especially SATA-II), more improvements as the controllers and bus take advantage of the wider baud, etc.

  20. Maybe ... or maybe the girls might be more susseptible to those guys that they mightn't even look at, normally, because they: don't want to be seen to be alone at this time, and want some lovin', and by lovin' I mean attention and by attention I mean horizontal and by horizontal I mean sweat and by sweat I mean noisey and by noisey I mean good. "

  22. This is not an endpoint: it is a beginning. You must now PROVE yourself to her, in ways that she has not even thought of before now. And have the TADS remove all competition ...
