Lego Star Wars II!
No you don't. You just think you do. *Jedi mind trick* You don't want K3. This isn't the game you are looking for. Move along.

Any Lara fans?
I like the grunting noises that she makes. I like Jonell Elliott's voice, too. It's a pity they seem to be about to screw it up and hire Rachel Weisz.

what PC do you use?
My little laptop is nearly two and a half years old (that's 62.5 in human years), so I am planning to build a new one with water-cooled SLI graphics and CPU components, as soon as the next generation (Shader Model 4), motherboard and bus architectures are updated, later this year. 'Til then, I have: OS Name Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Build 2600 OS Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation System Name IBM Thinkpad 41p Processor x86 Family 6 Model 9 Stepping 5 Genuine Intel Pentium M (Banias) ~1694 Mhz FID 6.0x (17.0x max) VID 0.956V (max 1.484V) GPX ATi AGP Radeon Mobility Fire GL T2 128MB Boot Device \Device\HarddiskVolume1 80GB Locale United Kingdom Hardware Abstraction Layer Version = "5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158)" User Name LAPTOP01\metadigital Time Zone GMT Standard Time Total Physical Memory 1,024.00 MB Available Physical Memory 417.09 MB Total Virtual Memory 2.00 GB Available Virtual Memory 1.96 GB Page File Space 3.91 GB Network Intel Pro 1Mb integrated ethernet dot11 a/b/g wireless LAN Mini PCI Adaptor Audio SoundMAX integrated Digital Audio Monitor 17" Hybrid LCD-Plasma (800x600 native resolution) Internet 2Mb ADSL (soon to be 10Mb cable) broadband.

Character progression in CRPGs
Short answer No. Long answer Both the quantitative arithmatic and the qualitative event-based mechanisms used to manage pseudo-metaphysical attributes, e.g. progression past a gate-keeper NPC with a code aquired to the PC's dialogue options after completing a task, are necessary to provide well-balanced gameplay. A caveat I would add to improve gameplay would be to not omit alignment-based dialogue options. E.g. a certain morality precluding an ethical dilemma, like a Lawful Good character not being permited to kill an innocent bystander in order to save some other people, for instance. (The bystander could be asked, but the LG PC should not make the decision on their behalf.) But the option should be there to threaten the bystander, for example, which would contravene the alignment guidelines, but effect the necessary turnkey to progress the game. I wouldn't be surprised if the alignment, for example, were recorded quantitatively, however.

Any Lara fans?
You would have a hard time convincing anybody, that the original non 3d accellerated Tomb Raider game was pleasing on the eye. Sort of like two triangular polygons making out the chest area Taste, subjective be thy name (or some such), Some people just prefer women with class, leaving the spoiled, the arrogant and the hypocritical ones behind... For me, the original was about adventure and exploration more than anything else. It made a fine job of that for it's time. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ... And Lara had to climb around on all fours a lot.

next-gen console action RPG by Liquid Ent.
Now, you are just being silly. They can be made adaptable to them. And how much does a keyboard cost like 20 bucks? lol Here is a link for our skeptical friend. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You're the one being silly. Nartwark's point that console's don't come with CDs is a very valid one. Especially seeing as that $20 price tag suddenly makes an $80 game a $100 game. Besides, you should be happy....the Pirates! remake made it on to the XBOX. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Huh? Who is talking about CDs here. You mean keyboards? Sorry but $20 for a keyboard is chump change for all the games you want on a console. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Whoops, I meant keyboard. Chump change? In your opinion perhaps. This argument doesn't fly with the DVD argument, and it won't fly for keyboards either. There has to be a large variety of games to effectively take advantage of it before it will become a popular purchasing decision. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The point isn't that the cost is notional. The point (you were right, Nartwak) is that it is not assumed for the developers. It is not part of the default control system.

Yes, have him wear a mask. Better yet, have her wear one. And then digitally modified ... (Watching disk two of Firefly AGAIN. )

Help me.
I've caught him making mistakes before, but he's a crafty one. One time I cught him and he went to the dictionary companies who used their satellites to change all the dictionaries from orbit so that the the mistake was actually not a mistake. Beware the meta for he has connections... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's not the Queen's English: it's mine!

Valentines HQ
Absolutely. My idea was just to walk up to her sometime before the big V day, and aske her if she liked candy. Then if she said yes, I was going to ask if she liked it when it came in a box. After another yes answer, I was going to ask if she liked it when the box was heart shaped. If she answered yes, then I would get her some flowers. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Have the chocolates on you when you ask her the questions. Psychologically, three "Yes" answers (each one helping to prompt the next one) set up the question-asking scenario for an almost irredeemable "Yes" on her part. Strike then with the chocoloates. If she says "No" at any time, set up three "Yes" answers, again, and then ask her out.

Help me.
True: the reminder of going without helps one to appreciate that which is rationed. The humour latent in the crack/heroin analogy was not that being a drug addict is a good state of affairs; more to illustrate that to these poor unfortunates nothing is more important than their next fix.
