  1. Ah, but the glory is the difference. ^_^
  2. I use a 160 gig external Firewire drive for storage of documents/images. I use the Raptor for applications/games. If my Windows/game hard drive bites it, big deal. I can always re-install applications. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, I was asking Setzer (see highlight): I noticed a significant improvement upgrading from a SATA 7200 drive. My Seagate 160gb drive was my primary and when I got the Raptor I just slaved it and now use it as storage. Load times on all my games have been cut down. It's a great drive and Size hasn't really been an issue for me since I mainly just use it for my apps and games. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I am just asking because every review mentions it, and my experience with 10k rpm drives were Compaq SCSII-extra wide RAID arrays, and they were quiet loud. Actually, I'm pretty deaf (too many nightclubs when I was younger?) so I doubt if I would notice it anyway.
  3. You just like watchin all those sex objects ...
  4. Yep, I know, the G5 is on my "to buy" list ...
  5. I was not commenting on wether it was good or not, i was pointing out it had no similarity to fallout. Nor was i commenting on the quality of Oblivion. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Okay, but I was pointing out that Bethesda have a track record of continual improvement (Kaizen, if you will) focussed on creating better RPGs. This leads me to think that they have just as good a chance as anyone to create a better FallOut.
  6. In the polite circles that I inhabit, it is not a popular choice ...

Not really. Sure there is a lot at stake, but most of the US government civil service use Blackberres. So they are hardly likely to disappear without a trace, now, are they?

It's a little difficult to discuss this topic, though, on a forum with a language filter ...
  10. I predict that what'serface dies in this one.
  11. And he's not very polite, either, and definitely isn't thanking anyone. For anything.
  12. ... Thus nature balances itself; the bigot and hate-mongering dragonslayer is eaten by the dragon offspring of the dragon he slayed.
  13. It has been so long since I played the game I have blissfully forgotten most of the details. Once the gizka crew finish their update I might re-install and play again.

  15. This is the drive they recommend, based on relative cost (per GB), speed and noise: Samsung SpinPoint P120S SP2504C [Custom PC] COMPANY: Samsung PRICE:
  16. Here's the conclusion from the latest Custom PC, reviewing the new 150GB Raptor X (with the kewl window): ... Western Digital had to do something radical to make the Raptor king of S-ATA disks again, and the company has delivered. However, the Raptor X can't compete with the 7,200rpm disks on price. At
  17. The context of the comment indicates that Mr U. was showing the extremes of the spectrum of RPGs, at one end was mindless get-to-the-next-level focused combat games like Diablo, and at the other (of one of many axes, perhaps) was PS:T that was more focused on story and character development within. His personal opinion of what constitutes an RPG was never revealed.

Don't worry. RIM just have been procrastinating over paying alicencing fee. The judge is going to burn their arse. But it'll just be a fine. Their stock jumped 8% on the news today ...
  19. Nemesis was better than Insurrection at least. They could have done so much better though. Open war with the Romulans would have been cooler than just the small fight between the Enterprise and the Scimitar. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> IIRC I fell asleep in the cinema watching First Contact. Snore-fest. I found some of the Borg episodes much better than that. Generations was crap: it had the staple Trek film ingredients: a couple of in-joke lines of dialoue between the characters and boring plot. The only ST films I rate are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9 and 10. Insurrection and Nemesis are okay, but Frakes is such a poor director. No wonder he did Thunderbirds.
  20. symbiote? Isn't Venom a bad spiderman? Haven't read a spidey comic since 1979, so I'm a little out of the loop ...
  21. Calculus was co-created by Newton, Sir Isaac. Nice guy, bit grumpy, thought alchemy was real and believed in astrology.
  22. Your using a 10k rpm disk for storage?
