  1. Hmmm, I might install and play the first two Thiefs, next ...
  2. If I had to choose a "best graphics" award-winner, I'd go for Half-Life, and Half-Life 2. The original Quake was really impressive, too, for its time, just like the original Duke Nukem game (the shareware one). I also agree that cartoony-graphics can be better than a poorly executed "realistic" attempt; Grim Fandango, the NwN series and Freedom Force versus the Third Reich being a couple of good examples.
  3. Don't forget the classic Space Invaders pinball machine ..!
  4. You must enjoy this game, as you play it a lot.
  5. Just eject the noisy people ...
  6. I like san pellegrino. But I just had a doppio espresso. (Actually, three.)
  7. That old game? I thought you'd played that to death. Jade Empire
  8. Depends if you enjoy that game ...
  9. Winona Ryder 1. Ron Perlman was a voice actor in Afro Samurai with Samuel L. Jackson 2. Samuel L. Jackson was in Black Snake Moan with Christina Ricci 3. Christina Ricci was in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas with Johnny Depp 4. Johnny Depp was in Edward Scissorhands with Winona Ryder Or, y'know 1. Alien Resurrection
  10. Don't forget your meds!
  11. Moving up, eh?
  12. I hate to agree with you mkreku but I do 110%... Again?
  13. That third one looks like stone, rather than metal. I hope it's metal, though.
  14. A forty-five percent chance of success would, to me as a player and a DM, mean I had to roll 55 or above (taking 00 as 100, and the rolls needed to be a five or better, with zero as the highest number on the die).
  15. That's a sharp and interesting comment. It's not impossible to do both, though it would need some the readers to choose from between various mutually-exclusive options (like choosing a pantheon, for example, between classical, Norse or Chinese). This entails more work, though. But that is a tremendous opportunity to build a rich source of material for DnD. Still, I'm not sure that the extra effort would show up well on a company's balance sheet ... whereas the primary purpose of marketing is to generate revenue.
  16. Isotonic fluid replacement during and just after kickboxing.
  17. I did a few contracts with commuting times of that length. They will eventually kill you. My understanding from your epistolary comments, however, is that this was: for the experience, which is something that people PAY to get; temporary. I wouldn't argue with your wife, either. You won't win. But, I would get a motor bike. NOT a silly high-powered one, a cruiser. As long as you don't drive like a teenager in front of a group of girls, and avoid rain (if you can), you should be fine. But, you won't win that argument. I was just telling you what I would do, because I can. Anyway, just reassure her that you won't be doing this job for long (seriously, if you last more than 12 months I will buy you a motor bike).
  18. Yes, Oliver Stone was inspired to choose Ferrel as the lead of his comedy. I saw Pirates of the Caribbean 3, yesterday. Actually, I thought it was better than the second film; I was laughing out loud at various times, and I thought the film benefited from not having Depp-overexposure (as the second one did): I thought his acting was inspired in this one, especially when he was dead. Still, the incongruous Braveheart speech made Knightley, the entire cast and the whole cinema cringe (what was the point?). I also thought it had some pretty mature themes, for a Disney film like and the film wasn't toooooooo too long (though I was about to walk out, regardless of whether Sparrow was heading off to find the in this film or the next).
  19. Yeah, this one definitely was. Neither of us were happy. It was an amicable split though. Wasn't that the one who gave you all those transformers for Christmas? I finished all the reading for my studies: the third subject done. Now I am just re-reading and re-writing my notes. I think I don't like Dark Energy, at all. I shall have to investigate this further.
  20. Yes, he is. (Sorry, Walsh, but your secret was going to come out sooner or later. Especially if I keep telling everyone.)
  21. I wouldn't format unless it was the last resort.
  22. I believe its a tiny magical construct. Basically like a half foot tall golem, with a tad more intelligence. Here is some better historical info:
  23. I was going to say, you couldn't still be holding a copy of HHGttG, and the Space Quests! So this is your virtual list of games? I would have mentioned the text adventures, like Zork and the Colossal Cave adventure (XYZZY!) which I played on the Apple ][.
  24. Isn't it a record of the amount of registered users simultaneously online?
  25. STOLE'D Aw, shucks. Good thing I didn't make a spelling mistake.
