    Oye!

Calax, what's your point? That marriage should not be restricted to hetrosexuals? Or that the legal benefits of marriage should be extended to all civic partnerships? Your points are diluted by your (poorly researched) ranting.
  2. I know nothing. However, just as a general comment, you can put your portfolio onto a webpage (even if it's MySpace or similar); you can secure it or even use the networking facility to gain some promotion, which can be quite successful. A mod team would allow you to gain some real-world experience (I have no idea but I would expect that this would be well regarded by a prospective employer), working to specifications (we need some dark music here, celebrational stuff here, etc) and to deadlines, so that would certainly not be a waste of your time. Good luck.
  3. Vista is out in about ten days.
  4. Edison would be very pleased. ^_^
  5. Most of the camping I have done was as a part of the school's cadet corp. Not really extreme, unless you count the poor bastards who had latrine duty ...
  6. That's right, it's no more difficult to use than a cap gun.
  7. Well, I haven't used 64 bi tXP, so I can't tell you what the drivers are like, and I am pretty sure you'll be able to run 32 bit applications as that ...

    Oye!

There you go with that enormous sample space again. At least now perhaps you may see why it is poor science; you see, there are many reasons why these people didn't want anything to do with you ... not even the weight of social custom imbued in marriage could overcome it ...
  9. So therefore the recommendations are completely false? Even when they specifically disqualify your video card? Right. Just because you got lucky and were able to play a game (but I bet it wasn't a fun experience as the underperformer struggled to keep up) that was beyond the specifications of your PC doesn't allow you to make such a syllogistic conclusion. And then come here looking for help to fix it.
  10. Yeah, I only did the one night at that age (and I know my brother was fairly unimpressed to have me there with all his peers); my father owned a (big, two-bedroom, six-birth) boat and we used to spend time in the broadwater, which is where this particular campsite was (on one of the many islands in the sheltered waterway).
  11. When I was travelling through SE Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore) I could walk ten paces without tripping over a Dane: they're EVERYWHERE!
  12. Yeah, that sounds a lot better. Just think of all that information that has been lost due to obsolete data standards (old diskette formats and antiquated computer standards).
  13. Yes. Or perhaps a morale attribute, that would prevent little rats from attacking big people, unless they were in sufficient numbers to swarm all over them and eat them before the people could react!
  14. And another one down.

    Oye!

Actually, I think marriage is quite a critical mechanism for social stability; especially now with longer, thinner family trees (not so many siblings, older generations living longer). The advent of step-families is one very useful way to bring the powerful familial motivator to bear on a rapidly splintering society.
  16. The RAM will most likely be antiquated by then, though, and the newer motherboards will have onboard flash memory disk caching technology to provide ReadyBoost, ReadyDrive, and SuperFetch for Vista. I'd offload it (eBay) and buy something else, or save for later. Or upgrade your XP.
  17. Look, over there! :D (Hint: savings accumulate small amounts into large amounts.)
  18. That's why you have to start young. I remember the excitement at camping with my brother for his ninth birthday (so I must have been four) ... it was a great time, even though I was asleep pretty early and it rained and I was in puddle in the tent.

    Oye!

Based on your enormous sample space of ... two.
  20. Hmm, link doesn't look to be an obvious redirect. I don't get this bot's angle. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> it's doing the Kansas City Shuffle!! quick look in the opposite direction of what you think it's going to think that you are going to do.. or?.. damn! *snap* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe it's spamming on behalf of youtube? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, no - it's spamming on behalf of yourtube. C'mon Gorth, don't get your tubeys in a bunch. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's harmless, if odd. Probably a beachhead bot ... I'll put it on probation. :D And merge this thread.
  21. That's not an easy pistol to shoot.
  22. I dunno about that: camping seems to be something that most people like when they are young, and tend to lose interest in as they prefer the comforts of the nearest 3-star hotel ...
  23. Yeah, the figure has a good (realistic) musculature. Maybe it's an albino Twi'Lek ? "
  24. Not sure about what definition of "democracy" you are using, but mine says that the people decide who to vote for and that usually results in those leaders doing stuff FOR the voters, so they keep their jobs. I'm assuming your comment is referring to Iraq, specifically. In case you didn't notice there were 8 million Iraqis (and zero Americans) that voted for the current executive.
  25. It's certainly worth keeping an eye on this development, though I agree they are large on promises ...
