  1. check the screenshots in the first post, there is one where you can see a character wielding this saber. They don't hold the sabers by the curved part
  2. Yes, this is correct. The key combination to "bring up" the (invisible) console vary according to your keyboard language settings. When I set the language settings of my keyboard to English US, then I simply have to press "~" in the upper left corner of my keyboard. When I keep my default French Canadian keyboard settings, then I have to press 3 keys: left Alt + ] + [ . Normally what you need to do to print the tilde . Instead of cheat codes, you can also use KSE: http://www.starwarsknights.com/tools.php Edit: and be a little more patient next time...this is not an instant messenger!
  3. You have to use winrar (similar to winzip but better if you ask me) to decompress the file. There is a readme in the .rar file. You can download winrar here You'll find more details about installing mods in general here: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=143422
  4. You would have to find a way to convert that model to make it work with gmax if you want to be able to export it as a .mdl-ascii so you can compile it with mdlops and get it into the game. Note that there are still limits to what can be done with models in Kotor 1 and 2. You'll find more info on modeling for kotor here: http://www.lucasforums.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=595 (the tutorials are closed to keep the threads legible but members can ask their questions on the boards)
  5. Oh please don't remind us of that one! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> but that link is hilarious, even after all that time (poor guy after all...but he had it coming)
  6. The easiest way of taking screenshots of different npcs, is to use KSE ( http://www.starwarsknights.com/tools.php ) and change your appearance and that of your party members. Much quicker than waiting to meet the npc. You can use the warp cheat to go get the background you want too.
  7. That's easy to say. There are plenty of good mods and some bad ones. It really depends on what type of mods the person is looking for. There are mods for all tastes (reskins, side quests, items, force powers, balance mods, mods that modify minigames, new npcs, etc.) If you are looking for a good hk-47 reskin, the best one is on this site: http://www.angelfire.com/crazy2/xclone_0101/kotor_mods.htm Until now, what I consider being the best overall mods are: Ultimate Ligthsaber Mod (USM): http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=34906 High Level force powers: http://www.pcgamemods.com/13294/ Hardcore mod: http://www.pcgamemods.com/10900 There will certainly be more big mods in the future, such as new areas but this kind of mod take time to make. Just the USM project took 3 months to complete. (but there are many excellent smaller mods too)
  8. I didn't tried the mod and didn't look at the scripts as I don't have the tools with me right now but I had a brief look at the .utc file for Yuthura and your recruit will probably turn on you when you hit a battle: the AI scripts attached to the .utc file are the ennemy scripts.
  9. there's a brand new mod sticky here: http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=34960 in case you didn't noticed. I'd recommend the Ultimate lightsaber mod (I am in slight conflict of interest but you can see for yourself: http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=34906 - I didn't do the saber models, just the scripting) The high level force powers are pretty good too.
  10. You'll find some of the heads here: http://www.pcgamemods.com/u/8161/ If you are having problems with the registration system at LF (can't post even if registered), this can be easily fixed . Just PM me the user name you tried to register over there and your e-mail address and I'll see to it.
  11. Nope. What files do you have in your override folder? I haven't heard of any mods causing this problem. In fact the only way that could happen is if someone changes the requirements for this option to appear directly or removes this option voluntarily. It's probably because you don't meet the requirements. Make sure your intelligence is at least 15. (I don't remember if you need a certain level of influence for this option. Unfortunately , I don't have the game with me to check it out.)
  12. Huh? you mean how did I attached the file list to the post? When you click on reply and not fast reply, you have the option to attach files. If you mean how to install the mod, then the instructions are in the download file (check Holowan labs link provided in the first post by t7nowhere) . You'll need winrar to decompress the files (the file list I provided above is just for reference, no need to do anything with this).
  13. I attached a complete file list to this post. I didn't posted it here as it is pretty long (there are 383 *.uti files and even more model files, scripts, dialogues, etc - a bit more than 1400 files in total .) I'm sorry but it's just a plain list: telling what each file does would take days. Edit: you'll get all the parts you need during normal gameplay. Sabers will be given to you by various npcs (each main character has his own saber), there are some mini quests and ...a random loot system for the crystals (although some crystals have fixed locations to make sure you get what you need). item_list.txt
  14. You'll find a list of sites, including modders' personal websites, where you can find mods for Kotor 1 and /or Kotor 2 here.
  15. You really need to talk to everyone...and sometimes if you talk to them more than once of after some events, you can trigger new stuff. Don't chose the options that cut off the conversation straight way like "stop talking, I am not interested": it will get you nowhere. If you want to have an idea of what you missed, you can check the walkthrough at gamebanshee: http://gamebanshee.com/starwarskotorii/walkthrough.php I normally finished the game at lvl 28
  16. What version of the game do you have in Brasil? With the international versions (other than US), you have to install patch 1.0a first: http://support.lucasarts.com/patches/kotor2int.htm
  17. As soon as Holowan Labs forums (link given above by Darth spock) will be back you will find plenty of tutorials over there. In the meantime, you can access our tools page here: http://www.starwarsknights.com/tools.php For textures, just drop your new textures in the override folder (if you don't have an override folder, just create one inside your swkotor2 directory). In the meantime, those who understand Spanish may check: http://www.clandlan.net/foros/index.php?showforum=57
  18. You'll find a complete list of available "upgrades" for the personal crystal with stats here: http://www.starwarsknights.com/itempages/c...crystal_1_0.uti (look for the "<FullName> Crystal" ). All the descriptions and stats have been extracted directly from the game. When you talk to Kreia, your old crystal is taken from your inventory and a new one is added. the crystal comes in five "colors" that follow your alignment: black, dark, grey, light and white and 9 levels. The crystal can be upgraded every 3 levels (This can be seen in the k_inc_q_crystal.nss file)
  19. This looks ok unless there is a global variable problem somewhere (I didn't checked that): it's only changes to .dlg files and scripts. (thought the global.jrl file contained in the fuel quest fix will be incompatible with other mods using this file). Which one? I assume it's Redhawke's item pack ( http://www.pcgamemods.com/10927/ ) If this is the case, this mod shouldn't cause trouble except if you are using other mods that have an upgrade.2da and upcrystals.2da file Glad you are using this one :D I made it! There's no way this mod creatres the problems you have. It uses *.utc files but they are custom files and not files that I took from another module. However, make sure you don't have other mods using the spells.2da file or one of the mods will stop working unless you edit the files. - If it's xcom's mod it's fine but there are many other similar mods. Shouldn't be causing any problems. .*uti and *.tgs files only. At worse they could be overwritten by another mod. I didn't check that mod touroughly but if it's a movie problem, try without the Make sure you are using the Kotor 2 version of this mod. The kotor version shouldn't be causing problems unless you have other mdos using the same .2da files (in which case one of the mods will cease to work as expected unless you edit the files). Read the readme carefully for each mod. While they are from the same author, they both use the same .2da files so check what the author says (from what I know fo Prime, he certainly mentionned something about it).
  20. And what does that fix do? I'm not too keen on blindly downloading and installing an .exe file without knowing what it is and what it does...
  21. I've use KSE all the time an never ran into similar problems... Now, If you say that you have 25_ mods installed...the problem could be there. Probably an incompatibility or a mod that is wrong. Can you give a precise list of mods you are using? (with DL links if possible). If have any .utc files in your override folder, could you name them? (some modders are sometimes afraid of scripting and chose editing .utc files instead: it's easier but if you happen to edit a non unique file or a unique file with a non unique tag, it can lead to problems. Note that sometimes editing .utc files is fine too. ). Of course, there is a last possibility: that this is simply a bug not caused by mods
  22. Err...just use the party selection screen and add the two "missing" party members to your party...this should solve the "greatest bug ever" Edit: <SP beats me to it
  23. When you use the editor, make sure you close the game and not simply minimize your window. Also, save your changes in the editor beofe opening Kotor. I never had such problems with the editor. If this is not the problem, could you describe the changes you've made more precisely? Be careful if you play with classes.
  24. First, if you gain enough influence, he'll "spill the beans" and tell you that he traveled with Revan and how he became Mandalore... and there is this existing model (which has been cut from the final version of the game): http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v144/Dar...adal_nohelm.jpg
  25. You'll find the alternate DS ending (for female only) here: http://pcgamemods.com/5326/ Bastila on Korriban: http://pcgamemods.com/5374/ (take Carth with her on Korriban to get more banter) Deadeye Duncan on Manaan: http://pcgamemods.com/5410/ as for "rebalance" mods for K2 the only ones I know are: You have the hardcore mod by Beancounter: http://www.starwarsknights.com/kotor2mods.php (makes the game much harder - 3 difficulty levels) and Hades_One mod: http://pcgamemods.com/10918/ (never used it as I did not played the game since the release of the mod)
