1. He had an unspecified jaw dropping experience. You need to leave some crumbs for all the fanfiction writers out there... (that was so bad, I better get to work again) :)"
2.
Spoilerish text...
3. Haven't heard about that one before... :"> Care to tell a little bit more about it, what type of game etc. ? Anyway, my own favourites (limited to games from the last 10 years, otherwise it just gets too long): Fallout 1&2 Baldurs Gate 2 Icewind Dale 1&2 (and expansions) Carmageddon (&^%$# 3Dfx Glide only for 3d support) Tombraider (even more &^%$# 3Dfx Glide only for 3d support) Planescape: Torment Jagged Alliance 2 Battlefields 1942 (and expansions) Master of Orion 2 Heroes of Might & Magic III (and expansions) Kotor 1&2 Disciples II Not necessarily in that order Edit: Honorable mention because of the sheer amount of time spent playing: UT2004, VMBL and Pirates!
4. Sorry, but no My only on-line multiplayer experience is running a text based mud together with some buddies, quite some years ago (10-15). It still exists, and so does my account, but none of those recent mmorpg phenomena.
5. I built my first PC, so I could play Fallout when it was released. Before that, I used my trusty old souped up Amiga 4000 for most stuff, including internet. Being an old Amiga fanboy, I'll say, it had all the advantages of a game console, i.e. one hardware manufacturer for the core computer and the operating system, yet all the flexibility of a personal computer. The powers that be knows I hated PC's when they started to dominated the game market. It was awful, looking at all those inferior games and dumbed down new releases, that had to be able to be developed for both the superior Amiga platform and the inferior PC platform... sounds familiar ? Once consoles get to the point of being better than PC hardware and having easier to use interface devices, I might consider leaving the PC behind as a gaming machine...
6. How about just putting the original poll completely unapologetic (Sp?) on the startup/character generation screen and let that determine the cameos and references in the game ? Put a skeleton somewhere in start of the game and a provide it with a "Revan" tag. Problem solved
7. Perhaps they just enjoy watching people squirm around a bit, like ants under the looking glass
8. Ok, I think I misunderstood your first post then... It's when you return to Dantooine, much later in the game, that you get it
9. I haven't seen that one, but on a slightly similar note had Mira running around that Jekk Jekk Thar (Sp?) place wearing her normal clothes and everybody commenting on her "pressure suit" (must be the wonderbra)
10. Are you guys seriously discussing "proper english" in a universe, that has Yoda in it ?!? Vogga's Horde was a disaster though...
11. I got the impression first, that it was whether the republic knew of the mandalorian presence. But now that you mention it, it might be something else... Good question.
12. Bouncers, canon fodder, pawns... whatever
13. Yup. She was being her manipulative old self that we all love and hate. Mandalore was there to be the "muscle" to help protect her "investment/protege". Accidents do happen.
14. Hanharr and T3 were my positive surprises. T3 managed to make me feel sorry for him, that everybody keeps abandoning him and Hanharr was one scary wookie, if you manage to get his entire story out of him.
15. Just checking. No offence meant None taken, I sort of guessed what you meant
16. At that time, you should have Handmaiden in your party (and possibly Mira). Either one of these will do (Handmaiden has this weird trait, that her clothes keep falling off all the time)
17. Sounds like a plan. But how will you distinguish them? Throg might not know the difference, but Gorth has no problem telling them apart. "Gorth" has been around for 20 years now and got a lot of wisdom and experience
18. Darth Gorth.... Sounds right. It just that, erhh, I can't bring myself to use "Darth" in a name :"> (Don't tell all the Darths around here )
19. All you need now is a mad, evil clone called "Goorth". No no no, Throg. Duh! That anagram never occurred to me (honestly). I might just steal and use that one every now and then when playing strong, low-int characters in my games
20. Whatever. If it closes, it just means out sight, out of mind. Not that they suddenly stop making games. I got the pop corn... Lets lean back and watch the show
21. I know But I deliberately don't do it. Especially since I'm *so* evil and hate the republic...
22. I actually prefer Disciple in my party for different reasons than most. First, the game is so easy, that you don't really need all the advantages you can get... Second, from a roleplaying perspective, it pissed me off, that I ended up with half a shipload of Jedis towards the end of the game. What happened to the Master/Apprentice thing ? How many masters travel along with an entire entourage of apprentices ?!? So in my third game, I decided to try the female/evil way which game me Hanharr and Disciple, it was actually more "fun", especially since it gave a genuine soldier with the ability to use some of all those rifles and heavy armours out there. I simply didn't try to gain influence with him and just leveled him up as a soldier. Not to mention, Hanharr has to be one of the coolest and most interesting characters I have run across for a very long time. Thats one wookie with an interesting backstory (I hated the whiny wookies with a passion in the first game). And it meant two less jedis in my party
23. And then there are some of us who aren't Star Wars fans and just liked the Kotors (1&2) because they were good games in their own right despite being Star Wars games... Nevermind. I already got a second home. If all else fails, I'll have to face life
24. Sounds like that merchant on Onderon...
