I'm not sure if tabletop wargames count, if so, I used to play Warhammer and Necromunda. Apart from that, the only two board games I used to play were some old Avalon Hill stuff, one called "Wooden Ships & Iron Men" from the age of sail and one called "Flat Top" which covered the Pacific war in WWII. It has been quite a few years since playing though, mostly due to a lack of opponents

JS Made some good music for Icewind Dale. The Kotor music was rather forgettable (I try, but I just can't remember any of it). I still remember parts of the Kotor2 score though, so based on recent memories, Griskey gets the vote. Mind you, Kotor2 is the only MG music I know, so it's not really a fair comparison.

Not sure how JE looks like or how it plays, but part of the IE games charm was the party based adventuring. And, that you could use terrain in the tactical combat (i.e. move around, use area effect weapons, ranged weapons, melee weapons etc. all at the same time). Something that I found NWN (and Kotor1&2 for that matter) woefully inept at in singleplayer mode... While I still have a game of BG2 going, NWN and the Kotors are gone. They might be technological advances, but they just aren't as fun. Heck, for all it's primitiveness, even Ultima IV is more fun :cool:

Improved General Circle Detection Algorithm Tomasz Macura This paper considers the problem of detecting circles in binary images on parallel computers. The author presents improvements to the General Circle Detection Algorithm (GCDA) that was invented by A. Kavaianpour, S. Shoari, and N. Bagherzadeh. The GCDA is based on a transformation that converts circles in an image to families of straight lines. This reduces the problem of circle detection to that of line detection which may be solved by any line detection algorithm. Theoretical analysis of the performance of the Improved General Circle Detection Algorithm (IGCDA) suggests that speedup will be linear.
