  1. That... and Tombraider Anniversary. Bad, bad attempt at... something? I installed the original TR and ran it with a GLide emulator after giving up. It really made TR:A look bad (gameplay wise) by comparison

  3. I think the closest thing I've seen before is what is called "Camper Trailers" on google. Maybe it's true that things just are bigger in America
  4. Recreational Vehicle. It's basically like a bus/mini house. Has a kitchen, beds, bathroom all inside of a tour bus sized vehicle. Or they have ones that fit on the back of a truck. Ah, thanks Slug. Never heard the term before They don't have those in thee Aussie Land? I can't say they don't have them, just that I don't know of them. Never heard anybody talk about such contraptions. Bear in mind that I am not a native English speaker, so things may pass over my head sometimes
  5. I think most parts of Hollywood and Chinatown are Ok, but once you get to the point of deciding for or against Ming, it goes downhill (imo). My favourite playthrough is still as a Nosferatu though. Not only the dialogue is different but also how to accomplish some of the smaller sidequests.
  6. having finally gotten that game, I should play it some day. Is there anything like mods or mandatory things to add to it? I have the official patch 1.27 downloaded, but that is about it. This will tell you the amusing encounters you may see. Mod sources. I always have the FoT All Items mod. It gives you all of the items and vehicles in the first bunker. I haven't tried anything else yet. Hey, the game has Morte in it! Thanks DR, I'll have a look at them and see if something catches the eye besides the All Items mod
  7. You think he had something to do with the latest earthquake or the truck that rammed their building?
  8. Have you ever considered not going to crappy hotels? They just charge you even more... I prefer serviced apartments when staying more than a week in a place. Better value for money.
  9. This Carnival is over... Next one is here

  12. Operating system? Hardware specs? I think we need a little more info Problems like these could be related to the above. Sometimes it helps disabling various hardware acceleration settings, like Audio etc.

  14. Try living in Wellington for a while... Shryke and Tigranes could probablt sleep through an earthquake without noticing it It gets hit by an average of 4 earthquakes per day
  15. I am going to say, nice visuals, although a bit hard to read. Something appears slightly broken towards the top frame and You might want to consider disabling Anonymous comments to your entries. Off to a good start
  16. what if it were a boss battle fight with sleestaks and gnomes? maybe a gnome-sleestak ubg? HA! Good Fun! I had to look up 'sleestak' (google is your friend) A distant relative of Yuan-ti allright. Not a fan of lizard men, but gnomes? I'll happily buy and use a scroll of gnomicide... Little pests. Why couldn't that suit of evil armour in BG2 be made out of Jan Jansens skin? Could it just have been the gnomes from the Dragonlance setting, then they would at least have provided some comic relief. Is that setting even alive anymore, or did it go the way of Planescape? I suppose it is in the nature of single player crpgs, that they have to "end" somehow. Otherwise, they might be perceived as pointless. Meh, make the goal the accumulation of wealth. Get the 500.000 gc needed to bribe the local magistrate and let you get a monopoly on the potatoe import. End of game and everybody lived happily ever after. Project cancelled due to lack of publisher interest, I know It (boss battles, whether in between or at the end) just feels so contrived somehow.
  17. I thought we just learnt that it will have a sucky end boss battle?!? But yeah, looks like that discussion has come full circle. Time to change the subject, please gentlemen? ... Besides, I hate the very concept of "boss fights".
  18. Continued here Time for this thread to get some sleep
  19. Procrastinating on a lazy Sunday Morning. Plain and simple Start of old thread End of old thread In what? Life - keeping pace - energy level - all of those things that indicate that the mind and the body are diverging in respect to what one THINKS one can do and what one CAN do! I can just sort of imagine the Old Green lying in a heap on his hoard, the hatchlings running circles around him...
  20. Congratulations man, way to go And don't forget, even if you didn't pursue the job at Funcom any further, it is still part of the overall learning experience. '@\NightandtheShape/@' gained 50xp...

Alright, when I'm forced to read it, I'll try pretending its Gundam . I particularly liked the scene where Hamlet kills Polonius. "How now! dead, fora ducat! Dead!" As Hamlet let's rip a whole fusillade of medium rockets, the bang and clink of discarded rounds. The comedic remark from Polonius before the rockets streak home: "Oh! I am slain!" All those in favour of a Walsingham re-write of Hamlet raise their hands. *Raises hand*
  23. Exactly. I sometimes wonder if I am the only one who loved Bruce Willis' character in The Fifth Element?
