What you did today
Some of my best friends lived together for 12 years before marrying. Talk about checking things out first

Dragon age discussion
Start of old thread End of old thread I almost spilled my coffee when Oghren started to explain to Wynne how Alistair kept twirling his pike and he even caught him out in the forest doing it, much to Alistairs embarrassment...

Dragon Age Tactics
You don't say I got caught with my chainmail pants down the first time. No freezing or otherwise spells brought along (a relatively low level Wynne) when I succumbed to curiosity and poked my nose where it didn't belong. Cost me my little stockpile of health and injury potions and in the end, a party member (last man standing alive) with less than a handful of HP brought it down... in my third attempt or so. Second attempt was spend practising the for me relatively unknown buffs.

Happy Thanksgiving
A happy day to you too Aristes I don't remember what Thanksgiving is about (read it a while ago), but it seems to involve turkeys somehow.

What is your opinion on the Israeli-Palestenian conflict
Too many people with too many spurious claims on that stretch of land. Currently it is "might is right" that determines who controls it. I say give it to Italy, it was after all a Roman province. The middle east run by Berlusconi...

I liked the Deep Roads for the most part. Almost expected to hear the "Dorns Deep" theme playing any moment The combat had an artificial feel to it though, as if your were playing a long string of "set pieces", trying out different enemy combos only for the sake of providing tactical challenges, not because they would ever have naturally occurred in that way. Completely irrational, I know, but it was just a feeling I couldn't shake off. The last fight was a a bit of a challenge. Orzammar was the second place I went and my party wasn't really built for, nor prepared for the fight and I didn't want to load an older save before starting on the Anvil. I wonder if the fight would have different if I had sided with the other side Setting and atmosphere great, combat too contrived and monotonous in places

I suspect the lack of familiarity with the setting may have something to do with it? It took me a while to "get into" the setting too.

Ferelden = Rohan with dogs? Tevinter Imperium falling to blood magic reminded me of the Roman Empire & the Mithras cult decadence. I imagined Ferelden the old celtic communities of western Europe. Some seems inspired by old germanic tribes like the Franks (Orlais), Lombards (Antuvia) and I wouldn't be surprised if I some day found Goth and Vandal influences I imagined the Qunari more like Huns than Almohads though, seeing that they feature here and there as mercenaries.

BloodNet
I spent a lot of my time on the jury rigging screen. Just as well as I never made friends with the combat and had my butt handed to me without mercy.

BloodNet
Moved to the place where gamers hang out... I had Bloodnet way back in time on my Commodore Amiga. Had a rather unique atmosphere.

Good question. Maybe observering the dragon crossing the road was what caused to do it in the first place (cf. "Schroedingers Dragon")? So, I found out what is causing Sten's anger management problems. Not sure if I am supposed to be hunting around for the starting location of the solution yet or if it will come to me in time. In the meantime, time to decide whether to go to Redclif, Denerim or the elf infested forest...

More *snip snip* What Tigranes said. Is that why it is called a "pair" of scissors I wonder?...

Dragon age discussion
A lot of the names and titles sounds like they were inspired by ancient celts.

Yay, found a second backpack!

Dragon age discussion
I only ever found one for sale in Ostagar. But then, I haven't really visited that many places yet. Finished The Circle and Orzammar. Yet to visit other places. Maybe more backpacks will show up...

Genuine courage
I wonder how many recognise the irony in comparing Wehrmacht to Waffen SS, considering the latter was created exactly because the little guy with the beard never trusted the Wehrmacht. Waffen SS' main purpose (originally) was to protect him against "internal threats" (both SA and the Wehrmacht). Yet half a century later, few people distinguishes between them.

Genuine courage
Heroes seems to be those who inspire others to do stupid things. What would you call those who inspire others to do good deeds?

Both backpacks? I only have one. I considered starting a public transport service in the Deep Roads since I commute back and forth all the time

Dragon Age Tactics
Story wise clarify for me if you would... the big tenticle boobie boss.. from the whispers of the former capt insane dwarf you meet I though the elder dwarf I was looking for turned into that monster. That was what I thought all the hints were. Then after the monster I actually meet the elder dwarf. So... perhaps epic fail for me but I dont get the connection of the elder dwarf I was on the hunt for and boob boss...? Spoiler (should really be in the discussion thread)

Dragon Age Tactics
I am weak I had to find some tactics hints to beat that multi boobied, tentacled monstrosity. Ranged combat for the win Maybe I should have given Wynne some offensive aoe spells...

Would your mages (effective) armour rating by any chance be higher than that of your fighters? Just wondering since the tips on the loading screens hints at high armour values being a magnet for enemies.
