For all the media attention, hype, propaganda and mutual (presumably) lies, it isn't the largest number of casualties on a non-combatant ship attacked by Israel in high seas. I believe the attack on the USS Liberty holds that little enviable record with more than 30 dead Americans and 170 wounded.
  2. I've got no idea what the story is about, but if the missing body gets dug up on the location he gave the police, wouldn't that be a good indicator of at least more than just random talk on his part?
  3. I knew it, the Mayans were wrong. 2013 it is then... Time to stock up on matches, canned food and bottled water? If it hits Earth like an oversized EMP grenade, we might want to practise living without internet and computers for a while. Thinking about it, those were actually the "good" old days
  4. Well, I got as far as . Adding a few modifiers to my favourite equipment might come in handy. Mind you, I like to hold on to favourite equipment, even if it isn't the most cheesy stuff. My ranger played most of the game with a scimitar +1
  5. Try this; http://www.thieves-guild.net/index.php?pid=462 It worked! Well, off to a good start. My very own shield, two long bows and a short sword (before I realised it was working) Edit: Edit to say "Thanks"
  6. *Cough* Can anybody explain to me how crafting works in SoZ? I've crafted the most wondrous stuff in NWN2 and MotB, but it completely eludes me how it is supposed to work in SoZ. It's like the the instructions just tells me, "you just craft stuff, how hard can it be?". I've carried two scores recipees, a mule cohort full of dead animal parts and the equivalent of a medium sized nations treasury in gems, rings, necklaces etc. all over Samarach (sp?) and The Sword Coast and I still haven't figured out how to use it
  7. Moved to proper section...

It is. Denmark, New Zealand and Australia are the countries I've lived in the last decade. Denmark lack stability, which means it's possible, but I wouldn't count on it

I've got 3 teams in the tournament, but I would be surprised if they made it further than the initial round. Still, I might be pleasantly surprised
  10. You really need to work on your bias, otherwise you can't hate this next gen abomination properly Seriously. They brought this series back for... a cartoonish fps starring the black blob from startrek as the antagonist? Hey, I've done my civic duty and hated this game duly from page one of this thread:
  11. SoZ gets awesomer and awesomer for every day I play it Beyond Good and Evil is fun so far. I'm struggling a bit with the interface and the lack of easily accessible save functionality. Overall, not too bad. Devil May Cry 4... well, it is a nice brainless action game and your protagonist at least appears male and not suffering from random bouts of "emo-ness". So far that is. The over the top action is fun, but I still don't understand the sillyness that is the oversized phallic symbols they need to swing around to enforce their dominance over their surroundings

  13. This thread needs more pictures (tunnel vision not required)...

Just like when painting your floor. Start in the middle and then work your ways towards the corner. Oh, wait...
  15. Still playing SoZ. I can now travel between Samargol and Crossroad Keep, finally finishing some old quests I've been playing a bit of Devil May Cry 4 too since I've developed a bit of a craving for action games again. Reinstalled and started playing Beyond Good and Evil for the less action, more adventure type entertainment. Who would have thought taking pictures of wildlife could be fun
  16. Wasn't there somebody once who claimed they could do climate analysis based on ice core samples from arctic areas?
  17. Meh, I prefer my tunnels filled with dirty water, waste and rats. Sewers are the pinnacle of tunnels. The only thing better than sewers are swamps. That's like humongous sewers. Tunnels are soo generic and mainstream
  18. Everybody knows that Fox News are evil and eats babies for breakfast
  19. Maybe it just wanted "fresh" meat? Or it found their squeeling so annoying that it wanted to put them out of their misery? While the above is obviously a bad joke, the sound of mewling babies may have attracted the fox to what it considers easy prey.
  20. He's been busy begging? Interesting story so far
  21. Well, I sit here and condemn them for not addressing the source of the problem and rather seem to thrive on the conflict. At least as far as the political elite goes. As long as 4+ million people are living as refugees, expelled from their homes and no prospect of ever returning to a "normal life", peace doesn't have much of a chance of happening.
  22. Because the world is full of these? I wonder if it is a seasonal thing, but it seems like it is time for the regular reminder to those who skipped their anger management classes to go back and attend them. Plan B is us having reached the end of constructive contributions
  23. Agreed. If you must do medieval-type fantasy, do so in a way that isn't burdened by that silly ruleset, those bland settings, and WotC review. *Sigh* Can we have a Warhammer crpg please?
