I watched Razor before starting season 4 and The Plan after season 4. Of course that was a while ago, so now I'm not even sure if the details in The Plan would have made much difference when watched in the middle rather than at the end. Not a spoiler per se, but the ending was a bit of a let down. Biggest disappointment since Alan Campbells Deepgate books. What started out so promising in the City of Chains fizzled out so completely towards the end in Deus ex Machina stuff.

I like how the game of the year nominees include 3 PC games, yet none of those are nominated for best PC game. Quality judging right there. Dark Souls as a contender for best RPG... It didn't really look like that on the youtube videos

Hmm... never thought about that. I even have a backpack full of different batteries for my toys. I remembered the souped up med-x and turbo and what have you, but forgot about different ammo types. Took me forever too to figure out how to change ammo

The only thing I'll say about lentils is, they sure need a lot of curry to lend it any flavour. Maybe it's just because an Indian couple in New Zealand introduced me to them. Speaking of curry, it looks like chicken breast is on the menu for tonight. Too incompetent (and lazy) to make curry myself (Woolworth to the rescue), but apart from that, it's fast and dead easy to make. Got some nice Chardonnay in the fridge too. Yes, fridge temperature is really too cold, but since room temperature is getting close to 30 degrees at this time of year, there really isn't any middle ground.

Silenced Sniper Rifle + Better Criticals + Head shots = Haaahaha, come get some! I suck at gun skills as I went the energy weapon way. I've got some decent explosives skills too, but the darn critters seems to ignore most stuff I can set up as traps for them (C4 and plasma mines). I don't know their stats, but I suspect they have a fairly high damage resistance.

I seriously hate Deathclaws... just about everything else I can reasonably deal with. In a dazzling display of testicular exuberance I pulled out my Pew Pew and ran at them, yelling obscenities! One Deathclaw went down to the Alpha Predator of the wastelands that is Gorth, two Deathclaws, the third and the fourth one too. I was pretty sure I might even have survived the fifth if I hadn't run out of sacrificial companions and the Deathclaw had more friends left, like number six and seven. There has to be a trick to get into that Quarry and back out again. Maybe a combination of Archimedes II and mini Nukes

Somebody's been playing too many video games. Very well made

Thanks to my new hardware, I could now play through Vault 22 without having to hard reset my PC every 60-120 seconds of play time. After so much grief an almost surreal experience just playing through it without rebooting Then I fell asleep across the keyboard and decided it was time to find a proper bed to crash for the night. Work interferes quite a bit with life these days

Didn't we have that recently with some other developer? I can't remember if it was Bioware or Steam or whoever, but it wasn't that long ago.

I seem to have forgotten, what were those projects again please?

My biggest beef with the outskirts of Vegas is the similarity to whatsitsname the northern town in NWN2 (Ember?). Lots of buiildings, but very few of them you can enter. Heck, even if they had just been empty cut and paste buildings, it would have been preferable. Otherwise I've enjoyed the ride so far. With my new gfx card, it doesn't freeze my PC dead in it's track anymore (a fault of the gfx card, not the game), I've finally entered vault 22. Talk about "green house" effect Note to self... keep an eye out for Mantis eggs.

I wonder how many employees are on a regular annual salary and how many are hired (re-hired) on a contract basis from game to game?

I use Visual Studio 2010 regularly at work Just looking for the lazy way out of something I normally don't do. Dreamweaver does indeed look interesting but I gave up trying to figure out Adobes website. They either want to sell me big bundles of CS stuff I don't need or student only versions which I don't qualify for. Doesn't look like you can buy just the software you need. VS it is then at the moment.

So? Racing games loose automatically because they all suck. Sorry, try again. Carmageddon. I win

My logins are not "related". For all intent and purposes, they look like three different users with three different emails. One for each game. Curses, I thought it was four, but my DA and ME2 accounts are related. I forgot I got that silly DA Blood Dragon armour for whathisname commander of the Normandy. Grave oversight on my part, as I try to keep them separate. More a cause of concern is that I use this login name for a few other forums, which resulted me in changing passwords when NMA got hacked Edit: Those EA accounts are then again different from any other login I've got on the net, which was the original point. A "pattern" I've started practicing ever since facebook felt free to distribute my "not shared with anyone" email addresses to scammers a few years ago.

Just means you'll have four passwords to change instead of one if (when) EA's system gets penetrated. Will now start teasing you. They would sort of have to guess four user names too and make the connection first, wouldn't they? I.e. I couldn't care less if I lost my EA logins, as I don't really use them anymore, but it would be a hassle if they could cross reference the info with other logins with other companies.

I have his little pet project of mine that I hope to get off the ground some day. It is basically just intended to be a small fansite/memorial site. No news updates, no user accounts, no forums, no sign up for mailing lists or similar. Just a simple tribute site with a few simple pages showing something. If possible a small "gallery" type thing, but not required. Last website I created was handwritten asp code (about a decade ago) that produced the content. Not an experience I care to repeat. Anybody out there familiar with simple site building software for generating basically dumb html code of the kind Frontpage would once have done? Hacker unfriendly would be considered an extra bonus If not, ah well, then I still got notepad and my html tag reference list.

Thread getting a bit long bearded... More Skyrim this way

Start of old thread End of old thread I might get this game some day, but I've still got a humongous backlog that needs catching up. Maybe a patch and a few DLC's from now

I suppose there is a certain irony in me having a liquid cooled system, when I was never really into the OC thing. It all came about back in time when I got tired of listening to the "vaccuum cleaner" standing next to my monitor. While there now are two low noise fans cooling the external radiator, noise levels are at least still "tolerable" compared to having case, cpu and gfx card fans running full speed all the time. Maybe some day if I feel adventurous and my hardware is a bit past its best by date, I might start tweaking voltages. For now, system stability is more of a priority (which is why I got the new card in the first place)
-
...and people tease me because I created separate logins/passwords for each of DA, ME2, Dead Space and Warhammer Online way back (ok, it was actually for different reasons, but I'll not turn down the fringe benefit of added security)

Have you tried the homepage of the integrated audio manufacturer? Realtek seems widely used for integrated Audio, but there might of course be others out there.

Thread pruned a bit. I would suggest a more civil tone...

"Different" would be an understatement. Nice find

I should have done this a year ago. Of course, it was pretty much what I did a year ago Not having much (i.e. pretty much none) spare time outside work, I did put it through its paces with some of the games that just a month ago would "hang" my system after 10 minutes of play. Only one game bsod'ed my PC, but that was an improvement I suppose over just hanging the system I expect that I now have to work my way through that laundry list of games I've purchased over the last 12 months (like 40 titles or so), that I haven't been able to play due to stability issues. Even better, I now have a warranty that lasts past the first 14 days The performace isn't noticeably faster than my 5970 card, but the silence of not having the squeeling capacitor/coil and the constant "The display driver has stopped responding" errors is worth every cent
