The PC knows who he is and what he's been up to. He just doesn't remember how he ended up on the ebon hawk. And we as the gamers will find out more about the PC when the stroy progresses.

When i'll play DS the first time i'll kick everyones arses without any lightsaber, ala Darth Sidious/emperor (whatever name you prefer). That's what was missin in K1, you couldn't do that.

It's good that you took up that article gandalf. i forgot about that one. and the thing you said about that mission the pc is on, it could be right. but it could also be so simple as this: you don't really have a mission, but you are the last known jedi. so they want you dead or converted. they don't want there to be a LS char left to teach others the jedi ways. I want to get it because i'm curious as to what happened to everybody from kotor1, i like the story we know so far, the cool features, the much better (as it seems right now) romancing. There are so many things to write on this, but i don't want to right a whoel essay, so... :D

I can't imagine that it's a common use power. i mean battle meditation is used to inspire armies and fleets. and it takes time to prepare, according to kotor1. but i'll have to wauit untill february to find out <_<
