I don't really care, but I wonder if they're actually making money with all these woke versions of classics? Because they keep putting them out, and I keep seeing people hating on them. Saw a trailer for The King's Man today. That looks like a movie worth seeing.

I belong to a roleplaying group. We jump around a lot. D&D, Pathfinder, Cyberpunk, Kult, the Witcher, etc. etc. I have no doubt my DM could tell you which modules are best, but I'm too much of a casual to know Well, it's really worth it if you find the right group of people (like any activity, I guess?)

I've just finished Sekiro. I love challenging games where you die hundreds of times but keep coming back for more. Currently contemplating what to play next. I'm thinking of buying They Are Billions tonight. Can anyone recommend?

Pachfinder Bugmaker: The Rekkoning

@algroth: Thanks for giving such a detailed answer! Much appreciated! Haha, after reading your review, I think I'm going to give it a pass unless it goes on sale with major discount. -
Pachfinder Bugmaker: The Rekkoning

Hello, chaps. Is it worth getting this game? Obviously, I love RPGs, but I've also played so many that I don't want to get a game unless its very good or offers something unique. There seems to be a lot of classes, which appeals to me, but how does it play compared to, say, Deadfire? -
Sounds like bad design. Although, it could be one of those cases where they made secrets intentionally obscure to sell strategy guides. I believe that used to be a thing. Anyways! I got Sekiro last night. Time to see what all the hype is about...

Honestly, I wouldn't have cared about their tactics if I could see that damn battle. The whole of season 8 episode 3 looked like a black screen to me. Epic fail.

You finished what's considered the very worst of the DMC series? You're a more patient man than I.

Playing Katana Zero now. It's good stuff. You buy it for the sword swinging violence, you end up playing it for the story and humor.

Werewolf game? This one: https://www.gamingscan.com/werewolf-the-apocalypse-release-date-and-news/ -
Well, this should be obvious, but Obsidian is tinkering with the game because they're genuinely trying to make it better. The changes are most likely based on player feedback and statistics. And while it might be frustrating that it takes years for a game to reach it's "final form" these days, Obsidian is a wonderful company in that they're constantly pumping out free updates (a rarity in today's world of monetization madness) So, don't you think you're overreacting a little? It's hardly unplayable (or a "piece of ****") because your cipher was nerfed. Why don't you roll a new class and experience the magic afresh?

Haha, well, not for recommending it here. But I've done some JPN->ENG translations for their website and press releases, so I'm technically part of their PR team. Of course, it hasn't released overseas yet, so technically there's no legal way to watch it unless you're living in Japan at the moment.

Greetings Gentlemen. Do any of you like Cowboy Bebop? If so, you should consider watching Shinichiro's latest anime: Carole & Tuesday. It's a different genre, but the soundtrack is awesome, and it arguably takes place on the same world as Bebop. (Yes, I'm getting paid to advertise...)

Indeed. Where are our Knights of Ren? Those bad boys could have been the next Boba Fetts! I wouldn't even care so much about the lore if it was a good story, but...it wasn't. It was lousy. Now, instead of repeating comments millions of other fanboys have already made, I will leave you with this: Vader Episode 1: Shards of the Past (a fan made film that's better than what Disney made) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ey68aMOV9gc And... The Plinkett review (because that guy always cracks me up) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f83D18xL7VE I think I'm gonna sit the next movie out unless it gets great reviews.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2
Heijoushin replied to ktchong's topic in Computer and Console
Memorable is who you remember right? I remember a lot of the VTM NPCs years later, which is sadly not something I can say for most RPGs. Ha! I can still remember how Fat Larry says, "Baby girl!" whenever you greet him as a female character. Possibly, but the late areas also had a lot of fun stuff. That snuff movie quest line in Hollywood? Really creepy. The Japanese schoolgirl vs fish monster in Chinatown? Cliche but super funny. If that was "running out of funds" then I'd love to see what they do with a full budget. -
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2
Heijoushin replied to ktchong's topic in Computer and Console
It's a relief that they've got some of the same writers as Bloodlines 1. I was so bummed when the day following the announcement, there were a bunch of videos titled "Bloodlines 2 is woke!" Bummed because I want the game to be a success, not another internet whipping boy. I also don't care if it's just the pronouns thing. On the other hand, a large part of what made Bloodlines 1 memorable is, let's face it, the female quest givers. So, I hope they don't mess with that. The interview above was quite reassuring, though. EDIT Interview tl;dr: Honestly, the developers were really vague and didn't reveal much. They didn't drop any social justice buzzwords. They mentioned that you start out as a thin blood (so even lower in the vampire hierarchy than in Bloodlines 1) and that thin bloods get a few interesting abilities. One example is an ability to go incorporeal, which will presumably be used for puzzles, etc. -
Gender Madness

I didn't specifically notice this either. You're welcome to your opinion, but just the fact that you mention "the far Left" in a post in the PoE forum tells me that you're viewing absolutely everything through the lens of your political beliefs. Everything in moderation, champ. -
Oh yeah, no doubts about the playability. It was super polished. I'm also looking forward to Warcraft 3: Reforged later this year (I'm not foolish enough to hope for a Warcraft 4 RTS, though...)
-
Just bought Warcraft 1&2 on GOG!! What a blast from the past! I'm sure the fact that you can only select 4 units at a time in War1 and 9 units at a time in War2 is going to drive me crazy, but I'm looking forward to playing these again.
-
Woke up this morning to find that Warcraft 1&2 have been released on GOG! Warcraft 1 was probably the first ever PC game I played, so I'm super psyched for a walk down memory lane!

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2
Heijoushin replied to ktchong's topic in Computer and Console
Very excited about this. The trailer seems very action packed, but it wasn't action that made the first one great. It was the writing. The first game was like Yakuza: Zero in the sense that every little side quest was well-written and interesting. We'll have to see if they can recapture that magic. And they better have funny speech patterns for the Malkavians again! And don't tell me funny speech comes in a DLC pack! -
If this came from Japan, I'll tell you what would happen: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-47328512 Someone would apologize. Alternatively, https://kotaku.com/nintendo-boss-is-taking-a-huge-pay-cut-because-of-the-1511382834 Someone would take a pay cut. But, well, different strokes for different countries.

You make it sound as if buggy games didn't exist before crowdfunding came along. They sure did. And I'm pretty sure that developers still want a successful game. The crowdfunding only covers the minimum development costs. Anyway, some crowdfunding projects do crash and burn, but on the bright side, they also "kick start" some long awaited projects. I guess it's a mix of good and evil.
