  1. Regardless of whether or not Obsidian did it because the backer requested it, I think this sets a bad precedent. Censorship is like terrorism- once you give ground the slope starts to get slippery.
  2. NEVER WAIT. You can't appreciate the bug fixes until you've encountered the bugs. Perspective.
  3. It's only been out for six days, and the developers are apparently expecting to release a patch this week to both fix the biggest bugs and change some gameplay balance issues. I think that's pretty good, really. If we learned anything from the beta, it's to add 1.5 weeks to their expected release
  4. When you look at the NPC that has the clothes you can see the NPC wearing them. The same goes for the hat. No murder spree required. In fact, if you play your cards right they will actually pick a fight with you, so you don't even have to soil your conscience much. Mungri selfishly hoarding knowledge has sent me into a homicide spiral I can only escape by murdering everyone
  5. I feel fairly confident this thread is not even close to on-topic anymore
  6. Actually I believe trans is humanities third gender. I don't believe this opinion dehumanizes trans persons, nor means I have any hatred towards them, it simply means I think they are different. It is because of this difference that I believe it is deceitful for one such person to not disclose (in this instance) that they weren't born female. I believe if a person wholeheartedly believes they were born with the wrong genitals, then they have every right (and I applaud their decision) to transition towards what makes them happy and healthy. It just also means I may disagree with what their new gender is. Fine. The point being, the fundamental difference between us is that you don't accept them as their stated gender and I do. And because our hard lined stances on that matter, I am going to go ahead and remove myself from the thread instead of talking around in circles. Good chat though, have a good day <3 Quitter
  7. ugh. You're the worst kind of fanboy. I hope you're young enough to justify it. lol
  8. Agreed, stealth is too punishing. I can't imagine every living thing is that perceptive. Hopefully it gets better balanced in a patch. If nothing else, one of the devs mentioned during the beta they were planning on fleshing out the stealth system better for the expansion
  9. It's not as poor quality as some of these folks are making it out to be. It could be better, but it could be a lot worse.
  10. Unfortunately IIRC it isn't a backer NPC that's the problem, I believe it's one of the gravestones on the third level of Od Nua? I could be wrong where it is. Nope, murder can't solve this problem...
  11. Meh, the physical rewards might not be the greatest, but I'm still glad I bought that tier. I guess I'm just much easier to please.
  12. First off: I'm not sure if this is a bug, or maybe I don't have the correct option checked. Some of the time when my companions make a comment while we're running around the transcript will appear in a little blurb over their head. Sometimes that blurb doesn't exist when they're talking, and I tend to completely miss what they were saying. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not and ultimately a really minor thing overall, but does anyone know what I'm talking about?
  13. I beat the dragon legit on Easy, but boy was it close. The only person that was still standing at the end was Aloth with 3 endurance and no spells left. This was after three prior unsuccessful attempts. It's certainly a brutal fight, but I promise it is winnable (on Easy, anyway).
  14. Both exist to a great extent in the world as well. There's a difference between personal insensitivity and institutional insensitivity. The former should be ignored. The latter should be met with public outrage. I largely concur (challenge or ignore depending on the situation with the first) but you seem to be avoiding the question, could you answer it please? Also note that the author of the limerick is happy to have it changed, so now it's in Obsidian's hands. Of allowing racism or saying crappy things? Yeah, I'm very anti-censorship, regardless of content. However, I'm also anti-anonymity. People should have to stand by the things they say. The guy owned up for, and seems to regret it. He also seems to have learned a lesson from it, so in my view all is good.
  15. I know Kevin Van Ord tweeted that he was still working on it a couple days ago. I think he was pretty busy with Bloodbourne when the review keys were released for PE. I'd guess the Gamespot review should pop up soon?
