It depends on the field. Programmers will be required to have a specific degree much more often than game designers today, because programming is an established discipline, game design is relatively new.

Some personal experience (I had been living near the border of Russia with Kazakhstan for 10 years and was often visiting my grandmother in Kazakhstan). Corruption in this country is rampant (as well as in most of former Soviet Union countries), so even if they become important oil exporter, most of the money will be pocketed by high officials and things won't get better for the majority of the population any time soon (at least before the change of people in power).

Hey, it was convenient at times. Combat in Torment was... not brilliant and Baator's first area has a lots of combat, but you can just skip the area by sending Annah in stealth mode to the exit trigger.

The "blonde joke" is just a bait, but the thing reminded me of how the rumors spread on the net sometimes. You get some link on the forum, which links to the blog, which links to some dodgy article, which refers to a forum post, and they all link to each other with none of them containing information claimed.

I thought it was somewhat original, because it is the first time I see it. One needs patience to click through it to the end. Seems to be a bit of a parody on blogs and forums though.
