  1. My OS owns you all! (Linux is catching up behind Vista in eye-candy department) Introducing Beryl: OpenGL accelerated desktop. Transpareny, blur, "wobbly windows", fade effects for drag, minimize/maximize, etc. Taskbar previews are animated. So are the Alt+Tab previews.* Expos
  2. It is still piracy, because recording a TV show is allowed only for personal use. Have they secured international copyright? If it is shown on TV, it is licensed to some entity in this country, who possesses the right to distribute the show in question. On a side note, there is no such thing as "securing" the copyright. The work is owned by its creator, unless explicitly stated otherwise. They don't need to enforce their copyright in order to possess it.
  3. Also, - you can miss a chest from one meter distance with a crossbow. - you can break a chest by shooting it with a crossbow.
  4. HAHAHAHAHAHA! That's the best thing about the forum upgrade!
  5. Actually while fossil fuel bit is somewhat plausible, furry deathclaw argument is ridiculous. That's coming from a casual fan.
  6. In the light of Vista coming out, I've reinstalled Ubuntu once again. This time for real! If games with Cedega, decent office suite and multimedia works out, the transition would be complete.
  7. I guess it might worth a try, though there is a high chance it won't do anything. I didn't do anything weird, and other people have the same bugs, so it is not corrupted download (the integrity of which Steam should verify anyway). I guess I'm unofficially entitled to a torrent copy.
  8. Windows. Oh, found it. There is a thread on Steam forums about it.
  9. The version is 1.12 I have read some forums reporting the same bugs. There is no action taken by Strategy First yet. And no, I haven't tried patch 1.13 yet. I'll give it a go when I make damn Steam run under Linux properly.
  10. I have no idea, but it is. For starters, Finance screen is completely borked, when you open it, all the numbers there are like $8,935,262,103 and -$923,436,244, and when you exit the screen, your balance is reset to the amount as at the start of the game. A more serious bug is that all dropped loot disappears if you save in the middle of the combat, and then reload. On the other hand, items that are not dropped from the enemies (i.e. found in buildings) respawn if you reload. Sometimes, the screen will lock up with a "timer" icon during enemy turn and you have to restart the game. Your settings in Options are reset if the game is restarted. These are what I've got so far.

  12. Don't get the Steam version though, it is infested with bugs.
  13. You must check out Vim, The One True Editor. It comes for Windows too.
  14. This thread is full of Seductive, Beautiful, Mysterious, Evil, Dark, Dangerous, Intelligent, Graceful, Big and Powerful people. Oh yeah!
  15. "Casino Royale" is waaaaay ahead of "Die Another Day".
  16. Are you implying that all normal people have relatives who buy and rip collections of series on a regular basis? It surely seemed like the reference to BitTorrent. PS Your uncle watches anime?
  17. Apparently I'm a drow. PS On a side note, I hate those tests. Then you get everyone going "hey check it out this test is so cool because it says I'm really cool!".
  18. From long ago. Some of them overlap with the list from aVENGER's link.
  19. FPS games: You can carry about a dozen weapons at the same time (including RPG, of course) and ammunition for all of it. Also you can jump, run and swim while carrying it all.
  20. * wants to reinstall FO:T *

    BugZ

Not a bug, but a question, will blog feature be utilized by developers only or by everyone? Not that I'll be writing one, but I would be interested in reading other people's blogs without leaving the forums.
  22. Yes, but this is preliminary results though. My initial thought was that weight reduction is what ultimately matters. DDR makes you eat less? Good (however doubtful). It makes you eat more but still lose weight? Even better.
  23. But "preliminary results [...] showed that those who played the game at home for at least 30 minutes five days per week maintained their weight and saw a reduction in some risk factors for heart disease and diabetes."
  24. Because CrimsonKeep is HER site.
  25. I think the word you are looking for is "streaming". Then it is up to LadyCrimson, if she is willing to add viewing of gallery items using "object" or "embed" tag for gallery items. Or even go as far as installing a Flash audio streaming player or implementing her own YouTube.
