  1. I agree...I really hope we can use armor and force power at the same time this time. Not sure if this has already been leaked or not. I hated giving carth the cool armor I found...Canderous was cool, but carth didn't deserve it.
  2. I don't think the sith are racist. When Palpatine took control, he simply took out the large power structures which were heavily alien influenced so that he could have complete power. (Confederacy.) Human worlds like Naboo rallied to his side because of the clone wars. I doubt the was ever a time when Palpatine looked at a wookie and thought 'I hate those hairy walking carpets.' I think he looked at things as power and weakness and would think more like 'Those wookies are strong and proud, they would threaten my rule if I donot contain them.' His own apprentice was a Zabrak. If he every used racist propoganda, which he probably did, it was most likely based in fueling flames to gather support, not his own ideological views. He was a master manipulator. I have little doubt that if the Separtists won, his empire would be made up of aliens.
  3. He was strong though...good for door bashing and melee...but yeah, otherwise pointless. If it wasn't for the storyline involving him, he would have been a waste of time.
  4. As a character, my guy flipped and went to the darkside when he learned that the Jedi had messed with his head. That was my reasoning...Bastilla was tortured until she had nothing but anger and rage left...that also was good reasoning. I agree with the original poster though, if I'm to go evil, there better be a good emotional reason other than "That guy has credits I want."
  5. In the Ep I jedi demonstrated force speed and force jump.
  6. Unless I'm mising something, I can see that work. There would be a few problems tho, like the loot you find when the enemy dies, does he just dig into his pockets and drop coins and items on the ground as he flees. It also might be tought to tell when the enemy has been defeated. In a crowd it could be hard to see if the guy has a weapon or not. If you break there weapon with a saber, what happens if your not using a light saber? This arguement is a "common sense" arguement, much like the lightsaber being blocked by swords one, not nessasarily one to make the game better: If you break it with the force, then why couldn't I just use the force to snap the gun in two before the fight? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> True...didn't think about looting. Then again, Jedi's don't rob corpses. Ahhh..the joy of the DS.
  7. I cannot but agree with your thinking. It seems weird that a Jedi would kill all these people. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> *squints eyes* Jedi...powers...not...working.... Mind explaining your outrage? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actaully, I didn't say anything to you. I was making reference to the fact that they wanted to "massacre" enemies earlier, but now didn't think jedi should be able to do that. But there is a problem with your statement. They all wanted the lightsaber as a one-hit-kill weapon, but you want that blow to not kill the person, but have their weapon blow up. While that seems kinda silly, it still "works". The problem comes in when you just have to tap each guy once, and he dies/runs. The game loses its challenge. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh, I definetly donot agree with the one hit kill idea. That would be cool..for about five minutes. Or if they sent like fifty NPC's at you each battle..My suggestion was that the last hit would be the weapon destruction. Like when the computer knows that the enemy is about to die it does the weapon destruction move instead of having the NPC die. You could select a skill or feat that would stay active telling the game to do the non-lethal finish attack. I personally enjoy killing NPCs..so I probably wouldn't use it. But still, it's a suggestion.
  8. I cannot but agree with your thinking. It seems weird that a Jedi would kill all these people. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> *squints eyes* Jedi...powers...not...working.... Mind explaining your outrage?
  9. I like the slicing through a weapon idea. You could make it balanced. Just have the 'killing blow' (where a dark jedi would kill the NPC) be the move that destroys the weapon and the guy flees or something. The problem with just killing everyone, is that at the end of KOTOR after playing both light and dark side, my character killed roughly the same amount of people either way. Mass murder is not the way of the Jedi.
  10. Yet another reason why America rocks.
  11. Darkside, hands down. Jedi fear the force. They don't embrace it's power for what it is but instead put limits and restrictions on their own humanity. The Sith are willing to let themselves become one with the force, something Jedi are not capable of without snuffing out their own true being.
  12. My local gamestop said 12/7. Xbox version.
  13. I dunno...when you equip a lightsaber and it ignites itself in front of a bunch of people who you don't want to know you're a Jedi..it kinda ruins the fantasy. Like on Taris...lightsaber waving about in front of Sith troopers who don't seem to put two and two together...it should definetly have a manual.
  14. Seven Forms of Lightsaber Combat....I'm so freakin anxious to play this game. (w00t)
  15. Considering how Sith like to just raze worlds they suspect their enemies are on..maybe it's just not safe to hang around.
  16. Sith Lord....does this character rely on the force more than a saber?
  17. Yeah..in the TOTJ comics, Mandalore died on the Dxun moon and some other Mandalorian found his mask and put it on. He says: "Now, I am Mandalore." Or something like that...it's just a title. I can see him joining you if you are darkside...maybe even on the light side. The Mandalorians once served Exar Kun...maybe he offered to fight for the new Dark Lords but they rejected him and he wants revenge or something...or maybe they suspect the new Sith of killing off Revan...there's alot of possibilities.
  18. Because she could have died in the last game, right? They should just move on..don't get me wrong, I liked her character...it fit the story. But I don't want to have the same characters running around for no reason other than nostalgia.
  19. I don't think there's any actual -blood-, per say. But there are a couple cutscenes that are more violent than anything you saw in KotOR1, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's what got that part added to the ratings label. -Akari <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Grove. Who needs blood when you can crush someone internally with the force, anyways?
  20. What's the point?
  21. It could just be needed for cutscenes too..regardless, this games looking to be darker.
  22. I noticed something else that's kinda interesting....Under the rating for the game it says Teen: Blood, Violence....but my copy of KOTOR just says Teen: Violence. Just an interesting note..
  23. What kind of physical changes will the game have? The first one had the darkside appearance..though it was pretty mild. Any tattoos, scaring, eye color change etc..? *Kicks his copy of fable under the couch*
  24. Stims have drawbacks as well! I didn't use them as well as security spikes! They were booth preety pointless! Shields and grenades I horded like a hermit! Used them like no tommorow on the Leviathan and Star forge levels! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Grenades were great...never bothered with mines though. There was alot of useless things in the first game...I hope they've addressed this fully. The dozens of blasters only entertained me when I read their story.
  25. Oh..thanks for the grand wisdom..
