  1. Thanks. I knew I had read it somewhere. Well, seeing how complex those feats are compared to the standard CRPG combat, my guess is they are simply going to either give an unarmed character extra attacks, a defense bonus, or maybe stun attacks.
  2. Care to tell me what sourcebook did you get that from? I'd really like to review a few things about unarmed combat, but I don't have the time to read ALL of them again.
  3. How long? 40 years? Because that's the time between the Exar Kun war and the events narrated in KotOR. I'd rather not have a 70 year old 'rogue hero' in my party, thank you. Oh and one other thing. It's not unheard of that Mandalore would pledge allegiance to an outsider who beat him, so if that turns out to be the case, it suits me just fine.
  4. It would seem your efforts to make that understood are somewhat... useless...
  5. At Level 20 -> 2d10 +Str bonus. You call this "little damage" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, I know. I think a monk's fists become vorpal weapons in epic levels too. But, compared to, say a 20th level fighter with equipment according to his level, monks deal less damage. Not to mention you have to actually stay alive long enough to reach 20th level. But that still wouldn't explain why anyone would want to go unarmed in KotOR, since jedi receive the most advantages of any class when it comes to melee combat, plus, lightsaber proficiency.
  6. What's with all the polls... BTW Sarjahurmaaja, great page that of your sig. SC2 was one of my favorite games of all time...
  7. There is still the issue of what the advantage of unarmed combat would be. In D&D there's a reason for playing a monk since monks receive major advantages to compensate for the little damage it can deal compared to other classes, but in SW? Oh, and I do believe that in some D20 sourcebook there was this martial arts mastery feat or SQ that actually allowed to parry lightsaber blows with bare hands... I can't remember what was it called. Ter
  8. That would apply to T3 as well... But I don't think that's coherent story-wise. Using the PnP as a reference, I'd say Revan was around level 18 at the end of KotOR, and the rest of the party substantially less powerful. It is clearly stated that Mandalore 'died at the hands of the Jedi Revan'.
  9. I know I'm going to get flamed big time for this but... she sounds like Salome Jens, who played the female shapeshifter in ST:DS9.
  10. That makes sense. If the PC goes dark an army is going to be needed to take over the galaxy, what better than a mandalorian army? And if the PC stays in the light, somebody needs to be there to stand against the sith army now that the republic and the jedi have been dealt with...
  11. Hi, Akari 1.- Can you tell if the environment will react to the status of the PC? i.e. people not addressing you as 'padawan' if you have 3 levels of sith lord. 2.- About the walk mode, it felt kinda awkward in KotOR. Has it been modified so the PC walks at a 'normal' speed? Thanks!
  12. And then there's the example of count Dooku not being at all withered, to the extent of being able to pose as the public head of an apparently fair cause. I can't remember very well but didn't admiral Karath seem a bit... dark in KotOR? It was stated that he had been corrupted by the dark side. Or maybe this whole thing has to do with having the characters mesh well with the dark theme of the wallpaper. It may not necessarily mean they are physically affected in the game.
  13. AFAIK, it hasn't been confirmed that the name is Nihilus. However there's an avatar in these boards you can choose which depicts him/her, and reads 'Darth Nihilus'...
  14. Yep. I'm guessing she's a pivotal character to the plot, possibly as much as Nihilus. And if that is indeed the case, I'd rather find out playing the game.
  15. A confirmed release date for the PC...
  16. All that assuming WHC is a joinable NPC, which hasn't been confirmed, I think.
  17. Right. Wasn't it mentioned that Mandalore was pwned by Revan?
  18. In fact now that I've actually seen that page, I believe the posted date may be referring to that page itself. I couldn't see anything mentioning the official KotOR II page. I'm confused...
  19. This may be a silly question but... how do they know?
  20. The original KotOR music was dull, repetitive, and mostly didn't fit in many of the climactic moments of the game. Even more if you compare it to the soundtrack of the movies. The only track I didn't get sick of after hearing a dozen times was the one played during the Endar Spire. I sure hope they do better this time around... or I will make good use of the "no sound" option.
  21. A level 2 character on Taris would be owned...though if you were the scoundrel class you could sneak past most enemies(but that would be boring) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not really. All you need to do is rely on your party members to deal with trouble since they can level up. I did Taris that way. It sucked though... On to the topic. I don't think consulars will lose in comparison to guardians since the whole point of playing a consular is having a lot of force points. This purpose was defeated in KotOR due to the "force sensitive" feat that gave the PC way more force points than he/she was supposed to have, which meant that at the higher levels, guardians could spam force powers without much trouble. I doubt such a feat will exist in KotOR II, so maybe there will be a reason for playing consular after all...
