  1. Threads like this go a long way toward explaining why the forums were almost closed.
  2. Newsbreak: You are not your post count or your register date!
  3. If that's your excuse for willingly being blind, who am I to point out the crude reality? )
  4. For whatever reasons, you lost. Deal with it and quit making up excuses for a war you lost 200 years ago. Keep dreaming. Europe as a whole is just a companion to the US nowadays. If you think the UK has any real weight by itself in anything you are deluding yourself. And I tell you this as an european. But unlike you, I don't let my patriotic pride blind me.
  5. The American independence war. That's one land war where they got their asses handed to them. And they weren't faring very well either in WWII until the US entered the war. Your not remembering it has probably something to do with the fact that the mainland has never been invaded since the time of the Roman Empire. And um, if you think your vaunted Royal Navy was in any way larger or more powerful than the Soviet navy was at its peak, you are just kidding yourself. Sure, british seamen are probably the best in the world, but that has nothing to do with the size or quality of the Navy itself. So thank you for yet another explosion of blind pride, but you should revise your facts.
  6. There can be no RPG suggestion thread without the Fallouts.
  7. Massacre in the Jedi temple, hands down.
  8. Um, no. Quit making figures up. I guess both the European and African fronts mean nothing to you. WWII was decided in Africa as much as it was in Russia. It's always funny to see people "guessing" History, though. Funny, in a sad, worrisome way. Yeah, well. Before you get too carried away in your outburst of nationalist pride, let me remind you that that same statement applies to most of the "Old World" powers at one point or another. Don't let old Nur bait you. You were doing just fine.
  9. Beautiful, but unrealistic. There have been a lot of examples throughout History of heroic defenders that resisted to their last breath... only to be slaughtered in the end. Sure, the will to win plays a great part in war, but it's nothing compared to numbers, technology and strategy. Germany had two of these three elements on their side at the beginning of the war and that is why they fared so well. But in the end they were being gangbanged, badly. That, the development of countermeasures to their "Blitzkrieg" tactics, and the supply shortages they suffered are what ultimately tipped the balance of the war.
  10. Which is supported by the fact that the Red Army sorely lacked really competent commanders due to Stalin's purging the higher echelons of the military to strengthen his own position.
  11. I don't need to know more, I already suffered enough brain damage reading TotJ, thank you very much. And it sure shows in your posts how much the prolongued exposure to that sort of EU crap has affected you. But if you think of yourself as a SW expert, then I gladly welcome you to the world of irrelevant knowledge, where nobody gives a flying f*ck. ) You won't get an answer to that from me man, I told you I like my girls with eyeballs! Oh, and it is impossible for something from TotJ and "magnificence" to be in the same sentence. "
  12. No. In fact, this is a pretty obvious attempt at trolling. It's like the fourth thread that deals with this, and I find it somewhat suspicious that somebody would register only to "point out" this minor inconsistency. If one of our resident TotJ fundamentalists was to start such a thread, he would get instantly flamed and the thread would be locked or deleted. But if it's a n00b who opens it, the thread might survive and be a perfect battleground for the continuity crusade. Sheesh.
  13. Indeed he would. If only because he's the only one that actually existed. "
  14. Even though I don't think the storytelling is sloppy, I must agree with the former statement. K2, while a great game, doesn't feel as SW as it should. Perhaps it's the focus on morality in a setting in which good and evil should be well defined, perhaps it's the lack of SW-ish locations or the twisting of the present (and K1's!) plot to reflect some hidden "True Sith" conspiracy. I think it's been proven that OE could rewrite the CRPG book given enough time and freedom to work in their own projects, and I really hope they get the chance to do it, but K2's is not the best example of a typical SW plot.
  15. Einstein thought human stupidity to be infinite. I'm forced to agree with him. Wrong. The ability to quickly learn and master new languages is a clear sign of intelligence. You obviously don't know what you are talking about. There is nothing wrong with being bad at English. However, there is something very wrong when somebody that can barely type attempts to patronize others.
  16. It sure shows.
  17. The TotJ fundamentalist considers me a nerd. Now THAT is hilarious.
  18. Next time you feel like patronizing, you might want to double-check your spelling, dad.
  19. I'm tempted to quote that last statement as signature, but since I would get instantly flamed by anyone with half a brain, I guess I'd better not.
  20. I didn't really need to fake it. I just did it because it was quicker and easier than pointing out that your comparison of Homer and Tolkien's works to TotJ is just another of your many inane comments at which I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. But at any rate, that comment just earned you a... Yay!
  21. I'm pretty sure it's illegal in some states to be so stupid.
  22. I understand that my making you feel like a total lifeless bucket of sh*t is a great source of discomfort in the already painful biological process you call "life", but that is still not reason enough for me to shut up. Oh and TotJ isn't coming back. Deal with it.
  23. Not "all", just you.
  24. I like the movies, but only own the OT in the old VHS format. I own some games, but not all of them. I wasted some money in the Thrawn trilogy and swore never to make that mistake again. I play the d20 from time to time. I like the new comics and loathe the old ones. I guess all of that makes me a nerd, but I'm no fanatic. And of course, I'm buying LEGO
