  1. A winner is you! I understand that the boards as they are now are a somewhat extensively modded version of the standard Invision Power Board software, so I don't see why it couldn't be done. Time is not the issue either, as it probably takes more time to do things the way they are now. That is, assuming you aren't flat out ignored, which takes even less time.
  2. So this means you have never had your players kill Yoda?
  3. Eh... they do. What's so hard about attacks of opportunity? Only a few things to remember, really. Aye, your position is very firmly established, seeing how you are just another GM with a whiny player group. If it could have been so much better "with little effort", then what's keeping you from making those changes yourself, and ending up with an awesome system? Shouldn't be too difficult to pull, after all, you are a "designer", right? Or maybe it's just that you suck at GMing, and that's why players get frustrated with you. I don't have enough information to decide which one it is. Even assuming what you're saying is true... so what? Opinions are like a$$holes. And at any rate, why is it bad that it's a sales gimmick? Do you expect people to give you the fruits of their work for free? If it's a scam, then just don't buy it. You can always keep playing 2e/3e if you dislike 3.5 so much... Hell, you can even stick to d6 if it's so great. No. What I find unpalatable is that you make up crap (d6 > d20 lol) at every remote chance you get, just so you can keep fighting the good fight. I'm sorry that your "let's bash d20!" snorefest of a thread is dead and buried, but that's just no excuse to hijack other topics and clog them with irrelevant opinions and outright lies.
  4. How about you contribute something then, instead of just adding to that lack?
  5. No idea, you ask the Portuguese. Me, I'm Spanish. Trying to impress people with your mad geography skillz, are we?
  6. I know. I try real hard, tho. The sad thing is... You probably are him.
  7. So, apart from the pitiful namecalling, which part of your own three (or so) posts are not filler, according to you? Have you actually added something to the discussion at hand, except for the pathetic wannabe-american-hero arguments you've barfed out? Gotta love these people so weak in their identity that they live their lives through another nations supposed military superiority..
  8. I already dealt with what you think passes for arguments. I understand how dismissing your doodles might be painful, but you have to understand, pity at your fallacious arguments alone isn't going to be enough for people not to tell you how how idiotic your rants can get. The rest of your post was just useless filler and a regrettable attempt at comedy. And now, you are just sticking your fingers in your ears and going "LALALA I'M NOT LISTENING". Oh well, I guess one can't expect people to realize and accept overnight that they are little more than a errant little boy whose only function is as comic relief where none is wanted. I'm not losing hope though. More filler. Hey, while you're at it, why don't you throw in some Moore's quotes about Halliburton? Damn it, go ahead, and make a joke about Dubya's maiming of the English language. Those are always great for getting you out of those difficult situations where you are expected to actually think before replying. Yes, those situations do exist. Sorry to break it to you.
  9. Huh? Are you being truculent just for the sake of it or you just forgot to turn on your screen before attempting to reply? It's not an "appeal to common sense", read again. It's an appeal to common belief fallacy, as in "only Galileo knew the Earth was round, while everyone else thought he was just nuts. Therefore, he was obviously nuts". That is a fallacious reasoning, and it's the lowest level of anti-American propaganda. There is much better crafted propaganda around, but taking it in and using it in a debate is obviously beyond your meager intellect. Keep going though, it's fun to see how even despite the fact that you can't understand what's being said, you keep charging forward blindly. You get bonus points for the extra effort. And this is a straw man. I dared you to find quotes by myself in which I expressed opinions remotely similar to this. Instead of doing that, you took the clown approach, and randomly bashed the keyboard in hopes of producing a valid reply. You failed.
  10. This is where I stopped reading. It's all the proof I need that you will go to any lengths to further your personal crusade to bash the d20 system, even if it means making up stuff that you obviously know nothing about. The d20 system is by no means perfect, and not my first choice for the Fallout world. But it does follow the KISS rule, where many others don't. And that is a must for fun.
  11. Alas, that is not exclusive of Mexican commentators. I'm betting all Spanish-speaking countries demand that kind of histrionism as a mandatory trait in their commentators... sometimes I just want to mute the damn thing. Surely you mean
  12. ...cash cow?
  13. No. But you get to beat everyone into a bloody pulp real good. You can't beat the feeling.
  14. Silent Assassin and Contracts are great games, but they are probably a bit dated by today's standards. Contracts is a rehash of Codename 47 and Silent Assassin missions without a coherent plot of itself, which means that unless you have played those two, you'll find the game somewhat unremarkable. Blood Money doesn't require that you have played any of the previous titles in order to follow the plot, so just get that one, as it's undeniably the best of the saga. There's always room for getting the others if you really like the theme and must absolutely play them.
  15. If I'm remembering correctly, there should be one of those boxes in the alley on the right side of the house harboring Mark II and his gang, next to the unsuspecting bird and trash container. The Commando is the easy one to get. The "Kazo TRG", on the other hand, is a bitch, as there may or may not be a container nearby, given the random location of the sniper.
  16. I always recommend AIDA32. The project was shut down some time ago (not more than a year, methinks), so I'm not sure if/how newer hardware is supported, but I guess it's just a matter of trying. Apart from that, it's an awesome tool.
  17. And why is that? Because you know they aren't going to get involved in a war they can't win. And it's not because they fear the overwhelming might of the Swedish military, I assure you. If you really believe they wouldn't try to "spread the revolution" as far and wide as they materially could, you are either deluded, or plain ignorant. It's lovely of you to try and dismiss my opinions as those of a mindless right-wing drone. However, you'll be hard pressed to find any quotes from myself in which I express clear personal satisfaction at US foreign policy. And next time, try to actually put something tangible in your post, as ad hominem and appeal to common belief fallacies are just worthless filler, and they don't really contribute anything to the debate. I know old habits die hard, but please, just quit being the demagogue. It gets old real fast. )
  18. No? LOL Aye, the world is a perfectly safe place, where threats like North Korea, Iran, and possibly even China and (up until the 90's) Russia only exist as figments of the imaginations of those madmen that run the world. Aye, militaries only exist because some boys like their toys too much, and they think it's nice to go on parades in foreign countries. Cheers from the gingerbread house! Too true. We should forbid cars. And while you're at it, how about we outlaw coronary disease as well, seeing how it's the first cause of death in the western world and all...
  19. You tell me man, I just work here.
  20. -We're doomed!
  21. No idea, to be honest. If it does, however, there must be a reason for it. I hear jews worldwide have a somewhat considerable economic power. It could be one of those crazy ass conspiracy theories, too. That's none of my business, really. I'm operating at the individual level and it's not one of my priorities to expose cowards. In any case, I can't see any benefit coming from people being labeled cowards or not accurately. They do know who they are though, and that's enough for me.
  22. I didn't say it would. I was just addressing your statement that mass enlistment would drive to economic collapse. Anyway, those two are completely unrelated issues, as someone doesn't need to join up to be willing to fight for what they hold dear. That's what Wals' comment was about, and that's what I was commenting on as well. I wasn't sure you were trying to go that way, but saying that "I'm not serving because somebody needs to run the country" is just a poor excuse. Note that I don't advocate compulsory service, as I believe that a voluntary, highly specialised professional military is better than massive conscription-based armies. Also, I respect people that choose not to serve for whatever reasons, except cowardice. Not because I believe in glorious bravery or any of that militaristic rhetorical crap, but, because as I said before, cowardice is just another form of immaturity.
  23. I've just exhausted my DDO trial account. As a MMORPG, it sucks. 100% static world, no PvP whatsoever, loads of stupid ass design decisions geared towards preventing powergaming and making solo play impossible. Useless guild system, and a rather unfaithful conversion of the D&D ruleset. Also, I have been unable to locate a single user that was willing to actually role-play. The atmosphere and the co-op aspect of the game are its only redeeming points, however, as going through some quests with your party can actually be fun. I sure hope they add much needed extra content (druid and monk classes come to mind), because at this point it looks like you could do and see everything in less than a month. That's not really too bad, considering you can get it for
