  1. I'll tell you what. We were promised modding ability during Kickstarter for PoE, and "modding ability" is what we got. It sucks so hard nobody ever made much more than portrait packs or the now deceased IEMod but hey, be happy... Yes Obsidian, it's you I'm flaming here. You better not duck up Modding in PoE2 or we're gonna have a problem. Edit: let's use the word Duck instead, seeing my original one won't be accepted.
  2. I shall try this when I get home and update the thread; I'm afraid there's no mention of them in the patchnotes however. Edit: Indeed the notes mention "multiple fixes for Glittering Gauntlets", I'll try it out as soon as possible and report back. God, that would finally unlock my Monk build ! Wreath for Sickened, Enervating blows for Weakened, and the gauntlets for Dazed afflictions ! Full debuff bitch mode monk mode : engage
  3. Is a bugfix ever coming for the Glittering Gauntlets unarmed attacks not proccing ? While I'm glad to see more bugfixes and hotfixes, this one here's been broken for months (and to be fair a fix seems simple enough). I've made a new playthrough with a Monk specialized in afflictions (wreath, glittering, enervating blows) and this is a core item in the build, I would dearly like for it to work o_O Is there even a version of Unity individuals can use to fix these themselves ? Because I wouldn't mind trying my hand at it.
  4. The roll has to be based on some "random" (or more accurately pseudo-random) thing. This could be your system uptime, this could be the actual game time, or any other number of factors. My point is, the roll may very well be tied to a variable that is, in fact, either static or has very little entropy at the time you're performing the action. This would result in the roll seeming like it has the same outcome, when the actual roll could be varying a bit.
  5. No fix for the Glittering Gauntlets not applying Dazed for unarmed attacks ?
  6. Universal refers only to the weapon proficiency used to handle the weapon. As in, it will use your Peasant weapon proficiency even if it's a 2-handed sword.
  7. I do not mean to discourage you in your endeavor, however here are my thoughts : don't Unless you cheese the hell out of the game (use figurines on all fights, keep camping every 2 encounters...), your solo rogue will have a very hard time with many fights, and some will even be off limits for you altogether (dragons, ogre druid bounty...) .
  8. To be honest and without trying to appropriate the devs' thoughts on the matter, I do not think they care overmuch about class balance altogether. I mean, as long as all classes are playable and at least able to complete the main storyline with an appropriate party, I would go as far as saying hey're OK. Now obviously, some classes are much, much more "OK" than others, but is it really an issue in an offline, non competitive game ? I, for one, have yet to find a class that cannot complete the game on Normal or Hard with a balanced party. Let us, please, leave PotD out of the picture as it is an especially more challenging mode we actually elect to play. Edit : Admittedly, my melee rogue did very well in early and mid game, now she's fallen off so hard I actually keep her out of roughly 3/4 fight time, to ensure enemies have proper aggro and not too many more AOE nukes. But then, she just tags along, finishes off weak targets and picks locks.
  9. What difficulty are you playing? I always feel like my rogues get neutralized the moment enemies decide to target them. They'll lose the toe to toe fight, and if they try to escape the disengagement attack devastates them. Get Hobble, Blind, and Sap, and you can 1v1 anyone. As long as at least one, preferably 2 of those are available for the encounter
  10. Please, what the hell kinda post is that. I mean, really, "many abilities [...] are not that good." , that's your whole argument here ? Perhaps you could detail which abilities and how they are not good ? Every class has abilities that "are not good" to be honest. While I agree rogues could use more love because they're super squishy for very questionable DPS relative to other classes, you really need to work on your argument here o_O
  11. Yup. Also, this cast on a Monk = devastation, real, real devastation. And an overflow of focus allowing you to chain cast that level 6 AoE prone.
  12. Heya brothers, So, back on the topic of dump stats; I came to a realization yesterday. If one wanted to build a support, summon-focused Chanter, one could choose static chants (dull the edge, stumble over words, sure handed illa, damage shield...) that do not benefit from Might whatsoever, and dump the stat entirely. And I do mean, entirely, like, a Wild Orlan (for the defensive passive) would go : - 2 might -18 con - 3 dex - 17 per - 18 int - 20 resolve (origin) The 2 might lists: -24% damage/healing , that's right, a mere 1/4 malus for a whole 8 stats points put elsewhere. On topic, does it not sound ludicrous that my Orlan could actually wear full plate armor ? Surely not many people would wish to dump Might that hard, however with the plethora of +might buffs available, the option certainly has some appeal. Either way, the build sounds viable enough on paper. Discuss
  13. Brother I'm not sure why you would mention Stealth here ? It has no relation whatsoever with Sneak Attacks. Also, if you have to make the choice because you're short on talents, remember : Two Weapon Style > Savage Attack > Apprentice Sneak Attack
  14. IDK, a meager 2.5 DR for a whole 10 points invested in a (remotely not that very useful) stat, as opposed to say +30% action speed or 30% damage... Thing is, DR is very strong against fast, small blows; but it gets exponentially weaker against strong targeted nukes. 200 damage rake, ain't no 2.5 (or even 5) DR gonna do you much good. Or, to take a more attainable example for enemies, Cipher Disintegration, 300+ raw damage on a regular hit, 500ish on a crit, that's 50 per tick. 2.5 less isn't going to save the day. I would very much like to see such a system in place to give Constitution a higher value, but the actual DR gains would need to be balanced carefully.
  15. So, am I the only one thinking since the reworks of Perception and Resolve, Constitution has actually become a very viable dump stat ? I mean, really, all it does is augment one's Endurance (but then better armor and deflection solves that), and HP (yay, more time between rests...). Surely, Constitution would be more appealing if it helped some more, say for example by improving damage reduction. I don't know, something to the tune of 0.5 to 0.8 per point seems reasonable enough as to not be game breaking. I understand working with floating numbers wouldn't be very convenient, but then, we already have floating numbers for Constant Recovery, Ancient Memory and so on. Discuss
  16. So, I executed Nyry The Deft Hand when he/she showed up at Caed Nua, 'cause the bitch had the gal to actually come and say to my face "I'm a madafaka, need moneys plox". Anyway, I had it hung on Turn 8. I'm now on Turn 16 and guess who's come to visit \o/ That's kinda silly aye ?
  17. When entering the Iron Flail map, on 13/03/2016 at 01:02 AM : 11,187kbytes When entering Ionni Brathr fragment, on 17/03/2016 at 12:40 PM : 16,493kbytes I very seriously suspect all the excess loot and garbage to have a role in this o_o If saves are packed like Infinity Engine's were, then the saves contain each map, including characters, their position, their inventory... Including shops, and their inventory as well. And with all the junk I've accumulated from dem weeks of adventuring all 'round , I'm tellin' ye, that there be the extra garbage, all 12+ mbytes of it !
  18. Should it actually hit Itumaak ? o_O I thought 3.02-beta fixed the issue, that and Firebrand also proccing on allies.
  19. Not when it hasn't dropped yet, which is why as you progress through the game, quicksave/quickload and autosave takes so much longer; until it is roughly 25-30 seconds and you decide to reroll a new playthrough -.-
  20. Tested this day and confirmed to add raw damage. At a mere 2% / wound and with very many better options around, it is a wonder people actually bother to put these on though -.- Fix Glittering Gauntlets for 3.02 Release s'il vous please \o/
  21. At the moment:- it does work with Carnage (armed). - it does not work with Flagellant's Path. (tested with both armed and unarmed monk). Dazed is not applied to no one. - it affects only the main target of Torment's Reach (and not everyone who gets hit). But that's because TR is bugged, as reported here. Deny this, it does NOT proc on Torment Reach's targets, with unarmed attacks. It only does on the primary target, with weapons equipped. Summary goes like this : UNARMED : Torment's Reach: no Force of Anguish: no Rooting Pain: no The Long Pain: no Flagellant's Path: no Dichotomous Soul clones: no ARMED : Torment's Reach : primary only Force of Anguish: yes Rooting Pain: no The Long Pain: no Flagellants Path: no Dichotomous Soul clones: no
  22. Tests I ran as per the "doesn't proc on unarmed" ticket [1] say it does work on Carnage. Gimme a second to respec so I can confirm Flagellant's Path and TR. Final results, with unarmed attacks : Torment's Reach: no Force of Anguish: no Rooting Pain: no The Long Pain: no Flagellant's Path: no Dichotomous Soul clones: no [1] https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/85416-bug-302-beta-glittering-gauntlets-do-not-apply-dazed-on-monk-unarmed-attacks/
  23. Charmed and Dominated enemies were Green. Charmed and Dominated friends were Red so you could use your full complement of spells to enhance their calm. Confused and Feared allies and enemies were Yellow.
  24. Wait you didn't ace the horse ? Now that you mention it I'm not even sure I did, time to go kill meself a steak. This being said, are you entirely certain this belongs in the tech support section ? ^^'
  25. what difficulty level is this? and what's order of your main? ...... just trying to figure out why I can't make my main Pally work....Pallegina is great I agree, specially as her order skills are entirely unique and useful....... ............... 'cause if you wish for him to output more single target DPS than a specialized monk or rogue, or AOE DPS than a barbarian, I think you're chasing a fleeting dream. When did I ever say that I want him to do single target DPS? I have already said it many times what I want him to do.....scroll up pls.... That was merely an example. You're deliberately being a huge pain in the ass towards people actively trying to help you out with building the character in a way you would like. So, I'm out, enjoy trolling your own thread.
