  1. DEX only affects your recovery AFAIK, not the actual action time. A spell that takes long to cast, will still take long. Correct me if I'm mistaken. 'kay tested just now, DEX does affect both cast time, and recovery time. MIG affects damage for some spells only. INT affects duration + area for some spells only. PER affects your accuracy, but does not grant additional Pen whatsoever.
  2. Yeah no, I'm confused. Arcane Veil says: +50 Deflection against Veil Piercing attacks. It also says: Arcane Veil has no effect on attacks made from firearms or veil piercing effects. So errr, IDK, make up your mind ? Does it have the effect of granting 50 def against VPAs, or does it have no effect whatsoever against VPAs ? 'cause if the spell's effect is 50 def against VPAs and it has no effect against VPAs, perhaps remove the +50 def ? The wording is confusing. Edit: oh and you might want to choose one of the 2 wordings, "veil piercing attacks" or "veil piercing effects", if the two are one and the same, otherwise that is also confusing.
  3. This, 200%. Tyranny's auto-heal-after-fights made it feel more like a hack and slash than anything else, with a bit of RP sprinkled on top. Loved Tyranny, hated its mechanics.

  7. The practice bro, the practice. I've hit 500+ games in my steam lib, thinking at that point I got more indies than AAAs, and god am I glad for that.   8. ​Hmm, that's unfortunate. It'll remove a lot of flexibility and tactical variety for mixing and matching to create interesting spell combinations, especially since grimoires are not changeable. One of the interesting things about casters was always the variety. ​ ​Not a fan of that choice. ​ Actually, you can swap grimoires. You can just not learn the spells from one grimoire, and input them in another. (which was a great way to get your multiple wizards to learn every spell by the way, if expensive).
  9. Yeah you wanna stop already ? We're professional backers here, we're shooting for an AAA-grade product. We're talking tons of ****ty paid DLCs (please make one to add 3-4 hats to the game, only $19, worth, totally worth, my family can cufking starve I'm buying it), 8-10 hours gameplay time (this is an upper limit, FIY), cinematics that ate 40% of the game's budget, real-life-motion-capture-whatever-they-call-it-these-days, bugs galore... the works. Oh and 11.3 sound effects (who wants 5.1 anyway ?), these are an absolute must, we're getting AAA+ you know. Don't ruin our game with your QA, or long gameplay, or replayability, or your misguided conception that games were so much better back in the days. We want a shi- AAA game and we want it nao.

  11. Guys guys, please. Let us not be hasty here. A (closed) beta's never been about balance in the first place, to be honest. It's about finding out how playable the game is (regardless of balance, indeed) and find the most severe and/or gamebreaking bugs. An open beta widens the player base and thus, allows the finding of more difficult/discrete bugs, which require specific conditions or are simply very rare. Then, you get to balancing your game It wouldn't surprise me that obsidian waits to have a bigger player base to start tweaking around with the numbers.

  16. The Saber Beza's Toothed Blade doesn't even seem to register as an actual weapon, when equipped. When equipped in the off-hand, only my character's main hand attack stats show. When equipped in the main hand and with a legitimate off-hand, the main hand shows unarmed damage and accuracy, the off-hand shows normal stats. When equipped in the main hand with nothing else, unarmed stats show. Additionally, the corpse where the blade is found shows a detection cone, during stealth, with the TAB key held down.
  17. Since I've managed to dupe the Marux Amanth, I've chosen to outfit my whole party with it. Y'know, the rogue, the fighter, the priest obviously... Now, while my rogue and monk can damage each other with the dagger outside of combat, they just can't hit monsters with it. Abilities such as Force of Anguish show that they're being cast, they consume a Wound, but they just never roll (no log entry, no hit). Switching to a saber/mace weapon set does get logs + rolls + hits. Now I understand these other classes aren't allowed to bind the weapon. Something must be done to prevent them from equipping it in the first place, if it just won't roll for attacks.

Well now, that one's funny. 1/ Put the dagger in Mercernary Priest's inventory, take note of what *inventory* slot you put it in 2/ Equip "Marux Amanth" in Mercenary Priest's weapon slot (1 or 2, main/offhand, doesn't matter) 3/ Make sure the inventory slot the dagger used to be in, is free. 4/ Bind it 5/ Sever binding 6/ Free dupe in said inventory slot \o/ 7/ Give the dupe to another character (you can't keep it in your inventory or the dupe chain doesn't continue) 8/ loop
  19. Just see the attached screenshot. When you toggle stealth, normally the character would become shaded. Here, it's absolutely invisible. You can see Mercenary Fighter's shadow (top right most of the group), but not his actual character.
  20. The bonii one gets for this or that race/subrace are not shown in the race description frames during character creation. How to reproduce: create a character ? ^^' IMPORTANT, FORUM : we can't assign the topic tag "Character Creation/Adventurers Hall", when trying to post the forum replies with "Tags incorrect, they must be between 2 and 30 characters". Retag this guys.

  22. Erm, you do realize you *can* pick something ? In fact, I did here. Picked Saber and Maces (fck me, I regret maces). Sabers remain as strong as they were in POE1. And the stupid thing ? I actually deal (vastly more) damage with the saber than with my fists. Fists are like 8-13 damage, sabers are something to the tune of 26-33. Go figure
  23. When a Monk gains wounds with Duality of Mortal Presence set to Body, they get +1 CON for each wound. This, in turn, increases max hp (and only max hp, not current; why not ? I'm stronger now ! ). The numbers displayed at her HUD portrait did show 183/166. After the fight ends, my monk's character sheet says 166/166hp. After alt-tabbing to write this (and opening her character sheet to see the skill's name, this is important), the HUD portrait display is now fixed back to 166/166hp. I'm sorry to report I'm unsure yet how to reproduce; just took a fight but I ended up with current hp < 166.
