I am to say at least dissappointed in gaurdian class, so far the best ive seen is sentinel however i am trying counsulor now to see if it is better than sentinel. But aside from the large hp and extra 2 feats i really think gaurdian get very little that is actually usefull. Force jump works like 1/3 of the time and even then only affect first attack, which is usually of little use since i for one use flurry and the dmg add would be to little to actually be worth some. Hope they consider changing gaurdians power to something more usefull. But my guess is after trying counsulor they would be my favorites.

Doesnt work well, youll have to remember jedi gaurdian get less Feat than a soldier, soldier get around 1each lvl and jedi gaurdian around 1 each 2-3lvls. So less you actually use your jedi powers you be less able than a pure soldier. And aside from that probaly barred out of prestige classes since they are likely jedi only. Besides it a jedi game.... -
Should Revan have an "official" face/storyline?

I just saying the universe is random, how can anyone who even themselves have a hard time understanding it program a robot to take any changes that they hardly know themselves into account. I dont think the force is some pattern consisting of non change able and if it not, then its unlikely anyone holds enough understanding of both computer technology and knowlegde of the force to make that kind of robots. However i dont see any reason why a robot cant be programmed to use a lightsaber consisting of a turn on and off switch, i dont deny it might not be as skilled with it as a jedi but i dont see any reason as to why it shouldnt be able to use one. But i dont agree with robots using the force. EDIT: You have to remember robots, are being reacting of artifical nerves and programmed functions, they can only analyze through what means provide or do what they programmed to.

Mira and Grenades and Rockets

They are simply admiting that non jedi characters are worhtless without something specially theirs, i doubt that it would be worth anything anyways. The jedi energy resistance or element resist shields, and bombs and fire are basically worthless like in the movies. EDIR: but i do agree any equipment features less class or prestige class shouldnt be restricted everyone except one sole person. -
One thing that makes me wonder is what keeps them together, on starwars webpage it says reason sith were near extinct was because of wars for power between them, figuring they have but one threat to them it seems odd they dont already plan behind each others backs, specially since sith tend to be very ego, and think they are more or less invincible. But i guess i am going to find that out later in the game, but for any evil sith structure to work they need a common enemy and goal otherwise they would be at each others throats for power. EDIT: Hate needs to have a direction otherwise it befalls one self, meaning if sith dont have a enemy they will turn on each other, its simply logic way of things.

Err... how is a level 30 cap going to help you get more out of prestige classes? You know, most prestige classes have just between 5 and 10 levels. And by level 10 of a standard class you are already able to add levels from most prestige classes your class allows. I for one would like it better if instead of rising the level cap, they had added multiclassing as an option. Now that would add to replayability. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Surprised they dident make prestige in a exspansion rather than impliment this soon anyways i am sure it gonna be fun trying them.

How on earth can we make use of all these skills?
Barzarel replied to OrganisedChaos's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I tend to save my force powers when my enemies i choking dying laughting, A trinket of the DS  -
Rather think it might be one of the other, from what i hear he was kreia apprentice, and his class is assassin so it doesnt fit with wizard character either, it more likely it one of the other of the sith lords. But i cant say for sure but if it is him the other spoilers must be lying and webpage about him being assassin. Besides i doubt his the leader since they changed trailer to end with Darth niphilis. I would be surprised if his their leader since assassin tend to serve rather than lead.

Ouch, this is not good if i am dependent on them, usually if i play DS i always have presuade high since they more about deceit and trickery than jedi. Come to think of it i actually always have decent persuade with LS to since they about avoiding conflict when possible. I hope they consider adding at least 2-3skills per lvl instead of the 1-2 you got in kotor, since it is not affordable to raise int high. Since you need decent str to hit, good wisdom/charisma for force powers and persuade and con for survivability. If developers dont give ous more points at least give ous 2-4stat points to spend to gain it. -
He's been alive for 900 years, i doubt that he hasn't done anything in all those years. Besides, a good leader fights when he has to but most of the time he stays behind and gives out orders/directions/guidance. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, my point is he does little in form of actions, he sense alot that causes Anakin pain he doesnt nothing not even talk with obi-wan, he sense that its not the end of the clone wars yet he doesnt send anyone to search for possible clues to location of dooku or his master.... Do i need to go on?

As long as SP doesnt suffer i honestly dont care, i know i wouldnt play multiplayer anyways so.

There are degrees of darkness in dark side actions, you know. Attacking an innocent person with a lightsaber is evil. Actions like that change your nature into a soulless person, but not necessarily a puppet of the dark side (think Adm. Karath). Attacking an innocent person with the Force is an evil action performed through the dark side. That makes you evil, soulless, and a slave of the dark side. Attacking an innocent with the Force in anger, not only makes you a slave of the dark side, but also a pawn of your own emotions. In the K2 website you can read 'Your mastery of the DS is only surpassed by your animal rage'. Very enlightening on the nature of darksiders. Using the force to cause harm to living beings, be it directly through choking, lightning, or indirectly, by say, bringing the ceiling down on your enemy, is considered giving in to the dark side. A Jedi can never find an excuse to do that kind of things. In fact you will find that most Jedi masters would rather die (and yes, let others die) than use the Force with ill intent. Now, I can understand the need for some degree of adjustment to these rules in order to make them fit into a cRPG. But going past anything like Force Wave is crossing the line. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> All this made me wonder will DS and LS be as easy to get high early ingame or will it work over time. Remember in kotor1 i had near max in either of them at end of Taris, which i thought was pretty early to have that high in them. Edit: Think i am gonna enjoy the DS alot this time, i remember how i enjoyed playing around with imperials in JK3 with throwing them around life draining them pushing them out over high area making them fall to their death. Wonder if Kotor2 has sorta the same.

hmmm.... do i sense a Vampire fan?

From a moral Compass POV, but the force is not all just about moral values and justice. If you used the force to save your loved by pushing someone of the cliff, was that the only resolution available to you? or did you react out of fear for that person's safety and simply call on the force to solve your problems? It's not a question of doing a noble thing, Jedi's don't command the force to do there bidding, for any reason. I know how semantic a line it seems (believe it or not I have had this very geeky discussion before ). It's not entirely dissimilar to using force to say float your drink accross the table, you could pick it up just as easy it's wrong to call on the force for such things. Even when people are at risk a Jedi can't call on the force to directly solve there problems. Sometimes drastic situations call for the force to be wielded in such a way that it could harm, but never or nigh ever to directly strike your enemies. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Think the old AD&D describe evil very well. Evil is action deliberately causing hurt to others, in order to benifit yourself rather than common good. So to say a evil actions can sometime cause opposite effects, you might kill a tyrant for instance to rob his house dry, this being a personally act of benifit however it hurt the tyrant, but in general there wont be other who suffer under his hand. In short you intended a evil act but it also create common good for general population. There isnt any right or wrong way it the result that determines how the action is wieghted. As to say if you use the force for personal gain and it hurts other people then its a evil action. Since result creates harm

If DS caster i tend to do the 15str 12dex 14con 10int 16wis 16cha at 20lvl since i believe adding to DC is more important than getting +1/+2 up in dex, usually use the +2dex +4all save belt to make up for that.

Choices at Beginning of K2
Barzarel replied to Chris Avellone's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Personally id preferred it was a Light side Revan, either male or female since it would add more from Kotor1 since it i believe was about redemption, is to look at theme. However it being choice base i dont mind either but if it was choice between the 2 id prefer LS male/female Revan. -
Why dident you go something like: str 14 dex 14 con 14 int 12 wisdom 14 cha 10 If you were ds and use dmg powers id put up in cha and wis to add to DC. But if you like you said played LS would buff and heal mostly you might want to place the +5in stat at 20lvl in either str, dex or con. Personally id put in 15str and 14dex 18con at 20lvl or if you wanna go dex 18-19 and 14-15str at 20lvl.
-
If you put +20hp up against +1att/+1dmg youll have to hit 20times with weapon to get same benifit as having +20hp. while it may add on with combo attack style i still think the +20hp is worth more. And for wisdom if you compare where do you with other abilities get +1will save +force points and enemies gain -1dc to save against you.
-
Well the 2 best giving stats are con and wisdom since they add a decent amount to con and wisdom to force points. Most other only add a +1 to att/dmg, +1AC, +1save or +1save penalty. If you go the 2warrior and 18jedi like some above mention you get +18force point per +1stat bonus in wisdom. And con is like a +20hp add at lvl 20 for each +1bonus. In my opion its worht more than a +1bonus to some random melee, save or casting save penalty.
