  1. Think reason students was taken yearly was to allow bigger growth in their control of their force powers, and to teach them yearly to prepare them and make them less likely to fall to the dark side. Older student have alot to learn and they had prior lives outside the academy which would for some make them more open to the dark side. For instance living longer in community strenghed bonds to it family and such, if childs removed yearly it easier to protect them from grief or other things like loss. But either way taking adult students is possible but a higher risk to them falling to the dark side.
  2. Think it could be done in the means of letting when first conversation with bastilla takes place let player choose their past relationship. This way people who dislike the romances could choose they were jedi friends or companions, and the one that liked the romance would let them see. I dont think jedi cant fall in love is a issue, skywalker did with Mara, and beside if character already face the dark side and overcome it i dont see how it wont be possible for them. And to the play boy remark, there a difference between romance and erotics, in my opion at least.
  3. Not really because a Dual bladed sabers crystal adds to both dmg hits, not only one, so the difference if to look for one is with dual wield you have access to place different crystals in both hands rather than have one same for both as you would with dual bladed saber, but dual bladed you save crystal since you only add into one object rather than 2. But i personally prefer dual bladed saber, think it also the most skill full weapon in play style, loved it in jedi knight 3 - jedi academy it was really a skill weapon if you mastered it you could beat almost anyone  .
  4. You can say which is best direct, without considering these 2 situations caster or melee. If my jedi is a caster minded if pick 1handed light saber for the +3to hit/+3 to def from feats, since my main dmg out put would be force powers. If i were melee if choice dual bladed light saber since it gives same attack amount as dual wield but less penalty, and tactic thou not included it easier to hit open spot than with daul wield since you have easier time turned defense into attacks due to it easy style moves. this isnt bull since it actaully been mentioned several times in martial art that one of the elite weapons are the staff due to it ability to mold def into attacks and other way around. But as for Kotor it the one with best dmg output and less penalty to att.
  5. Think it would be even more cool if you could take a sith apprentice, like the time mentioned in the chronicles where sith near destroyed themselves become the sith power struggled within thier own ranks, why it eventually became only one apprentice. But i could be fun having apprentice? or is it just me hehe Could be nice with a keep to i agree, but prefer apprentice over keep since its more star wars like :D
  6. I think that it was to much caster minded in Kotor when i comes to sith, even one of the most famous sith power thats melee isnt even included in Kotor, i for one would love to see DARK RAGE, and some possible other melee in the game, there numberous sith that are apprentices in the movies that only have melee powers, in fact the only 2 characters in the movies not having melee as sith as far as i recall are Duko and the emperor. I would love more melee for sith, i love playing sith but not much of a fan of casterbased. But i layed some basis so id like hearing what other thinks.
  7. I think it could be cool if you could possible increase amount of implant to get a edge since this game is single player id could be nice if you could choice how much machine you want to be. I personally always wanted to make a cyborg type of jedi like lord vader, but it rather limited now in the amount of implants, i dont see it would create a to big difference in game since more machine also would make you exposed to their weakness, like vader that died from the emperor's force lightning. But really wanted to put it up for a discussion, personally think it could be a interesting feature is it was possible in game to become more cyborg, encreasing a edge to your character. Example of know cyborg in star wars, Lord Vader and General grieverous. so it not that they arent there but could make playing sith more fun, maybe let the encrease more as melee since their powers now are more caster minded. But what do you think?
  8. Personally since i am mostly aggresive i prefer dual bladed light saber, since you get same dmg output as dual wield but less penalty. If i were to do defensive id prefer single style with the def/dmg + feat. But i see no reason to pick dual wield when it gives penalty and same dmg as dual bladed saber, less you want different set of saber powers, otherwise dual bladed saber if both less penalty and less crystal use.
  9. thats good enough for me just dont like having nothing but prime class type outside jedi since game surrounds jedi.
  10. I am for armor and cloth options, i like to look cool if jedi or evil badass as sith when i kick [censored], guess that just the way i am, like some criminals in movies like to carry custom made guns to look like a bitch slapper....
  11. Important word there. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just if ever it happens let it be the multiplayer part that suffers, really there are several good online games out there i see no reason why we have to give up the option of having good single player in favor of emulating what online games stand for?
  12. there a difference between buying and downloading, buying support Obsidan's money holds while downloading does not, i can say for sure anything that makes my play time less than previous one or as small i wouldnt buy, really when i buy a game that cost that much i exspect it to last more than 2 days. I dont mind playing the game over if there is enough options in it to make it fun, but i dont play games like that for multiplayer, if thats what i wanted id pick a online game instead since they usually more balanced than store one time buy game. If there is only a limited amount of points to use in Kotor 2, i suspect less they make the game either harder or longer it would take less than a week to complete, and if like last one there wont be much after that to do with it, in which case i wouldnt buy it, less i can see my friends can spend alot time with it, powergamer friend like me ofcause. Last buy 2 buys was W40 Dawn of war=2days playtime(never making that mistake again) and Doom3(Rock to hard, Doubt id be tired of that after a year) was my best buy the last one. SO YES LESS KOTOR2 IS MORE THAN 2DAYS PLAYTIME I WOULDNT BUY IT THEN ID RATHER WAIT FOR A JK4 SINCE I KNOW I CAN PLAY THAT FOR MONTH... EDIT: hate thought of multiplayer=points again rather than stat rolls, which in turn mean less points to try dual classes or other character built types less they become more or less gimp
  13. Well in BG2 you could have several strongholds if you played single player, i had 2strongholds with one character, when BG2 exspansion came i had 3. But either way i played BG2 over 2years spend 3day completing it apprx, but i played it again several times with different characters because it was fun story, npc and atmosphere was good i loved that game, i played Kotor through in 2days i think and i dident think there was much to see after played a couple of other chars for a while then eventually stopped playing it completely. Story was excellent but gameplay sucks after you've gone through it there isnt much more to see, with only 3 classes and suck for points to put in stats i rarely bother playing any real dual classes. And since you have to play to lvl 8 in some other class than jedi i dident bother playing any of the other classes for long since they rely on skills and force points more than fighter.
  14. Personally i am for the reconnect to the force, but nevertheless start with it as a choice. Thought story in Kotor 1 was good and i saw reason as to why he dident have force powers at start, but in the new one id like the option at picking jedi classes from start less the first lvls arent counted in lvl total, it rather annoying to only half a small amount of force points because you had dual class prior to being jedi especially if you counsulor class because it depend more or less one alot of force point since it more mage minded. I played through old one as gaurdian and light way, but eventually i started to pick a counsulor since i thought it would be fun, but i got so sick and tired of having half jedi power pick and half force points that i dident bother playing through with him. Really hope since i believe they said you been former jedi and trying to reconnect to the force that they at least either make any class, prior to jedi not count in lvl total or allow jedi full leveling from 1-20lvl if they have same lvl limit as last. And for logic it suck, dont remember Kyle from JK having less force powers than the other despite he reconnected to the force, please either remove the dual start or remove how it works Exsample make it and option to repick point on your jedi again, gaurdian=warrior or such so you get same as the other gaurdians, if you reconnecting to the force it should work as it does with PALADIN in D&D, you lose your paladin powers while your fallen till you atone, then you regain them. Shouldnt mean you completely lose your past powers it sucks for logic.
