Does this have anything to do with moving furniture around to create harmony and balance? That would make an interesting game.

David Gemmel is my favorite author. He writes great high adventure, and he seems to be just getting better and better over the years. The most recent series is based in the Mediterranean during ancient times, and it's just excellent. My all time favorite is Master and Margarita by Mikhael Bulgakov.

That's just awesome news about the Whalers. I always thought they had a great jersey and logo. Since we have a draft lottery, Pittsburgh has a chance at the first pick. I don't know if they have less of a chance since they got it this year.

That makes me think of two Stars going at it, like a Street Fighter type of deal. I think it could make a decent game actually. Specialty moves could be solar flare, nova, and fireball. You could have a Pulsar, Hydrogen, and Solar versions, and a finishing move can be the Supernova. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Since Hades didn't get this, let me explain... Grammatically, if you want to say that the intellectual property that is Star Wars sucks, you must add an -s to the suck. Because you are referring to Star Wars in a singular tense, that is the proper usage. When you say Star Wars suck, that basically says there have been multiple wars about stars, and that they all sucked.

I'll own them all eventually. I typically buy one, hold on to it for a year or two, then trade it in for a different console. That way I keep my costs down. The only trouble is, you only get to play one or two gernerations of games from each system, but it's a well-rounded approach.

Really? I'm nowhere near finished, but that's a shame to hear. I figured Tyrion would show up eventually. Jon was at the beginning of the book, but it wasn't his perspective, so I guess we'll get more Wall action in the second book. Seriously, he could have a whole series just on the action Beyond the Wall. The wait better not be as long, it was 4 years since the last book. Any word on a release date?

I picked up the latest George R.R. Martin book over the holidays. It's been way too many years since the last one. If you've never read them, they are excellent fantasy books. He has the huge scope of Robert Jordan books, except he has no trouble killing off main characters. In fact, I was so confused over who was alive, dead, and undead in this recent book that it took me the first 150 pages just to get my bearings. Still, now that I remember how the last one left off, it's getting very good. Anyways, pick it up, or get "The Game of Thrones" if you like fantasy and haven't read them yet.

I enjoyed the first season. I got super confused after that. I didn't catch it very often, and there always seemed to be some new crew member who I knew nothing about. I did watch the Peacekeeper movie, but again, was a bit confused. Still, I think Farscape is pretty good sci-fi, and the puppetry is the best in the business.

You can put them online through the game itself. This is definitely the strongest Lionhead game to date, very unique with a good deal of depth. If you want to make movies, get the game. Anyone have any good ones to link to? I need a lot more practice before I'll put one online. The system requirements aren't horrible, but if you can't run the Sims 2, then it might be tough.

For Harry Potter, I actually thought the film gave the dead kid more depth than the book. In the book it was very underwhelming, but in the movie, the kid was pretty charming and came off pretty heroically. Ah well, the next movie will actually have a major character die. I do think this one was much better than the last two, so I'm hoping the trend continues.

I'm surprised no one is talking about this one. I got it for Christmas and I've been very impressed. It's a decent little sim game about the movie industry, but the ability to play a sandbox game and create your own movies is pretty powerful. There are just tons and tons of movies popping up on the internet, and a few are pretty good. I've only created really bad movies so far, but the movie making tools seem pretty easy. You can record your own audio, or even create subtitles. Anyone else playing this?

I haven't tried any flash intensive sites, but I'd imaginie it will struggle with that, as even slower computers struggle. I'll give it a try though. I really need a new memory stick now, as I've been using the 32 mb. generic one that it came with. I think I've got enough holiday funds to cover a 1gb. stick. I didn't have any hacks. I don't really spend much time getting software that isn't authorized because I hate messing anything up.

I got a new PSP game today, and it automatically installed the new browser. First off, it was super easy to connect to my wireless network, where before I had trouble. Secondly, the new browser is very nice. I can basically connect to any website via my PSP. It's really expanded my use of the thing. I can definitely see it challenging the Ipods and GBA's with it's capabilities. PS - The game I got was Midways Extended Arcade Classics. It has some gems like Paperboy, Rampage, Gauntlet, Mortal Kombat 1-3, Joust, Spyhunter, 720...the list goes on.

Yeah, but Bertuzzi has always been a bit of a goon, albeit a talented one. I don't think he deserves to be kicked out of the NHL, but I just don't think he's a good representative for a country.

That's good to hear CoF, a thousand bucks will hopefully get you a car that can get you through a few years of school. I remember my college pickup just died one day in an intersection, but it carried me to quite a few interesting places. I got "The Movies" and a lot of hockey stuff. -

Time to grow a beard and get some tattoos, bikerboy <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ducatis are the Ferrari's of motorcycles. My Brother-in-law worked for them for a few months. They flew him to Italy and all around Europe, bought him a ton of clothes, and then layed him off. He was bummed, but I think he got a pretty good deal out of it. Now he works for CycleWorld. -
I second that, have a great holiday season and enjoy yourselves!

Sanitarium...best adventure game in a long time.

Wasn't that thing in Quest for Glory?

I remember Mechwarrior 2 being huge, Mechwarrior 1 not so much <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's true, Mechwarrior 2 is when the brand really took off in terms of video games, but I'd say the entire brand has gotten plenty of appreciation.

Here's Roenick's actual quote: "I know nobody on that team has more points in the National Hockey League than me. So if they want to go that way, good luck," Roenick said. But I'm really more upset about Shanahan and Kariya, since they've shown they are still very competitive at their age. I'm really shaking my head at a few players that were taken over them. I understand that Shane Doan, Kris Draper, and Rick Nash are good players, but Shanny and Kariya have senority and experience here. I also think Bertuzzi should be off the squad. He's not a good representative for hockey. I don't think he should be banned from the NHL, but I don't think he deserves this type of honor, and I know a lot of Canadiens agree with me. *edit: If they offer Shanny a spot due to injury, he should shove his stick up their *****

Canada left Brendan Shanahan off the Turin roster. That's absolutely unforgivable. The guy is 36 and one of the few older players performing well this season. He's been an international competitor for a lot longer than guys like Rick Nash. I think it's unexusable. They also left off Kariya, who has clearly shown that he's still a competitor. I'm pretty ticked about the Canada roster. I'm also surprised the US team left off Roenick. He spoke his mind about it, something like "Go ahead and take young guys, I've been there before and I know how to win, they don't." Seriously, my blood is raised over the whole thing.

Mechwarrior was huge. It spawned numerous sequels. It's not under-appreciated.

Unfortunately, Psychonauts used to make me nauseaus after 30 minutes of play. Actually quite a few of these console games make me nauseaus if I play to long. Maybe I'm dying...or pregnant.
