Mercenaries 2: World In Flames
Part one was very fun. It is definitely like GTA in a warzone. I wouldn't say it's more violent, in fact it's more appropriately violent. You aren't killing hookers and cops.

A dirty little secret
I think that's awesome. Writing is not as easy as most people think. It takes a ton of determination to finish a book. I wish I had your discipline Eldar.

I kept expecting The Ringer to enter the realm of absolute tastelessness, but it managed to straddle the line pretty well.

For Jade Empire: There aren't many weapons per se, but there is a huge variety of fighting styles. The different styles are so unique that it does feel like you are using different weapons.

Matt Dillon could have easily left her behind in the car. He fought for her life in the end. It shows the two opposing sides of his character. Clearly there is good in the man. He's trying to take care of his father. But there is also ugliness inside. The movies shows both.- Movies You Have Seen Lately
Colin Farrel has been getting murdered lately. I don't know what he thinks he's doing choosing roles like Alexander and the guy from The New World. He became famous playing a certain type of character, and it's not the lead one. He does a good job playing a roguish type character, but he's not ready for serious roles. He's got a lot of growing to do.- Movies You Have Seen Lately
What made you think the movie would be worth watching? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Honestly, I enjoyed the Scary Movie series, and most spoofs are worth a few laughs. Date Movie was supposedly from some of the writers that did Scary Movie, but I guess it's the Wayans brothers that are the talent behind those flicks. "Don't be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood" is still my favorite.- Movies You Have Seen Lately
Don't try and watch "Date Movie". My wife and I lasted 15 minutes. It was horrid.- NHL
It's pretty amazing that the Hurricanes have been to the Finals twice in the last few years, and both teams were relatively unknown going into the season. Also, they've had huge roster changes. It should be a good match up though.- Who's the best video game spy?

If that's true, then it would be much more productive if he mentioned that when he complains about games sold strictly online. Otherwise he really isn't adding anything to the topic. By telling his story, he's helping us make informed decisions. That's what I see as the best thing about forums.- Ugo Volt

The Portuguese were the first explorers to sail from Europe, around the Cape of Good Hope, and establish a ocean trade route with India. Maybe they'll make a decent video game.- "I Can Still Smell the Blood"
Term limits were written into law after FDR. Before that, two terms was simply the standard. Every time a president gets to the end of a second term, you hear his supporters clamoring for a revision to that. Unless we are in WWIII, I don't see that happening. I agree with taks, if all politicians were like GW, it would be awesome.- Sony to make reselling of PS3 games illegal
When you buy a used game, the publishers have already made a profit off of it. The retailers are taking a risk by allowing customers to sell the game back. If they can't sell it, they have actually given money away. The real facts are that most people do not sell back their games. The people who tend to sell games are usually putting that money directly into more games. The retailers probably benefit the most, but they also have the higher risk. In order to have a supply of used games, you need to sell new ones, so publishers are still moving product. And, used games are good, free advertising for future products. It also allows consumers to experience more products. It's a win situation for everyone.- "I Can Still Smell the Blood"
It sounds like you favor an enlightened despot. While having a great leader for many years may seem like the best path, it creates a dependance upon a single strong individual. Many of the great civilizations have crumbled because the strong leaders could not be adequately replaced. George Washington probably would have been a great king for the US, but he set a precedent where no president, no matter how great, is to be a permanent fixture in the government. It's worked well, we've thrived under good presidents and survived under the lackluster ones. It also keeps the public from becoming too enamored with one president. The fruits of a president's labors are rarely harvested until they are already out of office. This is great for the country but lousy for the individual, which is an excellent way to run a government. Ex. - Lyndon B. Johnson passed more civil rights legislation than any other president. Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter both benefitted from his fight for equal rights. But LBJ was politically castrated by a war that Eisenhower and JFK got him into. It's a sad situation, because many people of his generation look at him negatively, but I think history will remember him as a president who pushed civil rights within our nation forward.- "I Can Still Smell the Blood"
I respect all of the US presidents. It's a very difficult job. I don't always agree with their positions or decisions, but that doesn't stop me from being respectful. But I'm also a very neutral when it comes to politics. I love the political system we have in the US. It's remarkably balanced. It is incapable of stagnation due to the constant leadership changes. Even if another Republican comes into office in 2008, you will still see a policy change. Eventually the people will tire of the War on Terrorism, just like the Cold War. Then you will see conservatives lose their hold. The cycle is very clear.- NHL
I think Buffalo will be the tougher match up for Edmonton. Carolina has two very good lines, but Buffalo seems to have 4.- Sony to make reselling of PS3 games illegal
I've pretty much given up on EB games (and Gamestop) for PC titles. It's a slap in the face how easily they dismiss them. They carry a thousand copies of Console Crap II but get 2 copies of HoMM 5, which disappears the first day despite not getting shelf space. I've started to go to Best Buy for PC games. They have a pretty solid section, and they don't play favorites.- "I Can Still Smell the Blood"
I think you give George Bush too much credit. He is not an all-knowing entity. The cover-up is very likely much lower down the chain of command. This isn't a new thing either, the My Lai massacre in Vietnam was much worse and has still not received the investigation it likely deserves.- Consoles suck!
I've had plenty of PC components freak out over the years. There are plenty of reasons to buy PC's over consoles, but unreliable hardware ain't one of them.- What are you playing now...
I was so bored by the demo that I didn't even buy HL2. I've been pretty hooked on EQ2, as is evidenced by my X-fire hours. I don't know how it happened, but after 2 weeks I suddenly found myself with a level 24 wizard. I actually used some credit I had at EB to buy both expansions. I'm paying an extra dollar a month to see my guy on the internet in all his splendor. It's a disease, seriously. But I am enjoying it. So far it hasn't been a grind, but I'm a bit worried when it does. Grinding tends to completely turn me off in these games. I go from loving it to not wanting to log in. I also tried to pick up Oblivion again, but I think I need to start a new character. I'm not connected to him anymore. I think the Vampire quest line burnt me out. - Movies You Have Seen Lately
