  1. Chitty-chitty Bang Bang? Anyways, it's a new release with Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer.
  2. I just watched "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" and was pleasantly surprised. It was an excellent detective comedy. The director's style was unique and entertaining.

    1-0 Carolina.
  4. I actually looked up the deep cleaning thing, and I guess it's pretty common, particularly for some who neglected to get a regular cleaning for 5 years.
  5. I just got back from the dentist. I hadn't been in about 5 years, and I expected some trouble, but it doesn't make it easier to take. I have 4, maybe 5, cavities. He said I need a DEEP cleaning, which requires two separate appointments and $200 over what my insurance covers. Then he'll patch the cavities,a nd then my wisdom teeth need to come out. I also hate the fact that I know nothing about teeth, so the deep cleaning might just be a crock. Bah!
  6. If this were true, it would be impossible to keep all the necessary personel quiet about it. This is a massive undertaking. It's just like the JFK assassination. When all the major evidence points one way, that's it. You can go looking under every rock for possible conspiracies, but that doesn't mean the most likely situation isn't true.
  7. Very true, especially if you want it for the PC. EB and Gamestop have some vendetta gainst PC games right now. I've started buying strictly at Best Buy, because at least they give the PC some respectable shelf space.
  8. It's not a major title. You need a gaming store or Best Buy.

Really? So if everyone disagrees with you, you're just going to stick with your viewpoint? Ok. Anyways, the elbow was very deserving of a red card. The second red card was complete bullocks. It wouldn't even have been a very decent yellow card. Pope deserved to get thrown for the 2 yellow cards, although neither was super strong. I really only have a problem with the second red card. It was the guys first offense and he made contact with the ball. It was barely a foul, at at most a yellow.
  10. Monty aka Robotman. I have a soft spot for Overboard and Luann as well. Foxtrot is awesome, because it's obvious the writer spends all his free time playing video games. I'm amazed he writes a strip.
  11. I just watched "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada" and enjoyed it tremendously. It was a a good cowboy movie with excellent acting. I recommend it highly. I also watched "16 Blocks" and thought it was decent. Bruce Willis was interesting, to say the least. It was a decent action flick with good acting. If you don't enjoy Mos Def, it might be painful. I like the guy.

Did you watch the game? There was a red card given for a very regular foul. The player even made contact with the ball when he slid in. Anyways, go read some commentary and you'll find it's pretty unanimous, the reffing stunk.

Looks like we have a game 7. This is some awesome hockey right here!

That was some horrible reffing in that US games. Both teams should be pissed. I thought the US played well enough to win, and that's good news.
  15. I agree on Tetris, but Punchout was huge on the NES. It definitely deserves to be on the list. What the heck is Dragon Warrior 4? Anyways, these were clearly the games that made NES so popular, the early titles that made kids beg their parents for the system.
  16. Wow, it looks exactly like HoMM 5.
  17. I just couldn't get a handle on the gameplay. I also wished I had played the original, as I felt very out of touch with the storyline.
  18. I'm not surprised on the exclusives, as Ubisoft and Pandemic have never been strictly one console. I hesitate to believe this System Shock news, but we should come to terms with the fact that the real spiritual sequel is Bioshock.
  19. Are you serious? Psychonauts is what I imagine the inside of YOUR head looks like.
  20. Bleh, the GW storyline did absolutely nothing for me. That's totally a subject of opinion. I prefer the comedic quests of WoW and the solvable books of EQ2. Or if I really want a story, I'll play a good single player game...just as soon as another one comes out.
  21. Actually, the real problem I see with EQ2 is the lack of a cohesive artistic vision. There are some parts of Norrath that look stunning, particularly the rushing rivers and fountains. But you can really see how the game went through different development teams when it was being made. I think the expansions are much better looking overall. EQ2 also has a rather complex amount of graphical variables. I think I spent at least a few hours trying different settings before I was happy with the graphics. The griffons have to be the ugliest thing in EQ2. Seriously, it looks like you are riding a cardboard cutout.
  22. I'd be surprised to see Blizzard tackle a new MMO anytime soon. I imagine if they did, it would still be in development for 4-5 years. Also, World of Diablo seems a bit silly, since the fantasy setting is pretty well covered with WoW. Starcraft might be a better target for an MMO because there have been very few succesful sci-fi games in this genre. Still, I'm guessing we will see Diablo 3 run more like Guild Wars than WoW.
  23. First off, the major difference between Guild Wars and MMORPG's is the servers. You are technically in a large graphical chat room in Guild Wars, and all combat is handled with instances. It's a much simpler way of handling a multiplayer game, and hence the server and admin costs are kept to a minimum. It is much more similiar to Diablo than WoW. Secondly, monthly costs for MMORPG's have been explained ad nauseum on these boards. If you still don't get the economic model behind it, then you are just looking for reasons to dislike these types of games. Also, WoW has yet to release a single expansion. They have over 100 servers running with admin teams, GM's, and testers, as well as programmers and artists churning out new content every month. They would either be broke, or not be able to offer this support, without a monthly fee. Now Everquest 2, on the other hand, does seem to milk its customers. But then again, the content they release is for the nutcases that play 10 hours a day, so the cost per hour is probably pretty good for the gamer.
  24. I can't believe you've been playing it for 3 years.
  25. Wouldn't you do the same? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> By no, you mean yes?
