Mafia II
Am I going to be able to pre-load it if I buy on Steam? That might convince me, It's a busy time of the year to head to the store.

Inception
Was anyone else shocked by Tom Berenger's looks? I know he is older now, but he always struck me as a Sean Connery type who ages but never really looks old. That's out the window now! So if the kids really were older and in different clothes in the last scene, then I say it is reality. Otherwise I assumed he was in limbo.

Mafia II
After playing the demo, this is a definite buy. Now I need to decide on PC or PS3, I usually like the controller for these sandbox action games, but it does look great on my computer.

Prop 8
I'm not going to look it up, as I'm on my phone, but I believe Bush is the third president to win despite losing the popular vote. Kennedy was another when he beat Nixon.

In Australia, the n-word is no longer a criminal offense.
If you vote for this guy, you are a douchebag.

Creative people are clinically insane (or going to be)
I'm pretty sure almost everyone has created something, so that really doesn't narrow it down by much.

Prop 8
Heck, just the act of introducing your partner is awkward when you are gay. My former principal has been with his partner for 30+ years, but he can't just introduce him as his husband. I know GD and maybe some other folks have had bad experiences with marriage, but when they work, it can be wonderful. Gay couples aren't recognized by society in the same light as a man and a woman. I see that as extremely wrong. Obviously the government stepping in isn't going to magically change our society, but it is an important part of the process.

Scary/horror games
Sanitarium was hands down my favorite horror game. Doesn't Max Payne have some messed up baby crawling on the ceiling or something? As for RPG's, I remember Ravenloft in the old D&D goldbox being pretty solid.

Prop 8
I've gotta say, that is dead wrong. I know quite a few gay couples, in pretty much every stage of their lives and relationships, and it is a big deal to every one of them that they cannot tie the knot. It is a major part of a person's life, for better or worse, and it is very messed up that an entire group is not legally allowed to take part in it.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!, just a dumping ground
Typical. Why would they seize the inventory? Seizing the profits from the sold inventory seems a lot better from a business standpoint.

Prop 8
That sounds more like a short term backlash than an actual increase in racial intolerance. That is to be expected with any change, and if anything it drives the people who are on the fence about the issue into the tolerant camp.

Another Modern RPG, please
I really think you should play AP. I'm not saying you are going to love it, but I think you might be a bit surprised by it.

Question to Brits
I had a Fat Burger awhile back, that was a good burger.

Movies you have seen recently
Hot Tub Time Machine - Pretty funny. I imagine it will only be enjoyable if you lived through the 80's. Kick-Ass - Extremely good. I would love to see a bit more of this universe, it was a great ride.

Fallout: New Vegas
Interesting take on things there, mkreku. As usual. I don't think anybody who posts in this thread hates FO3. But maybe we define hate differently. Oddly enough, I really enjoyed Fallout 3 and defend it frequently, but I've never bought any DLC. Of course, I really am not looking for a game to last me for a long stretch, I'm just happy if I can beat it in a month and move on.

Prop 8
If you really want a fair popular vote over the matter, then only gay people should be allowed to vote on the issue, as it solely affects them. As for the Federal government stepping in being a sign of the apocalypse, that is just not going to happen. The Federal government has stepped in on much larger issues. I don't see how a Federal decision on marriage is larger than slavery, or segregation, or Jim Crow laws, or even Health Care. State versus Federal power has been disputed since the founding of our nation, and it will keep being disputed long after I am dead and buried.

Del Toro And Cameron to shoot 'Mountains Of Madness' movie
I'm soooo tired of the 3D craze. I can't watch movies in 3d without being uncomfortable, and my wife is the same way. I don't see why Hollywood really thinks this is a good idea.

What are you playing now
Can't go wrong with a naked top hat wearing ****ney guy who pimp-slaps random people on the street. Plus the pimp slap animation is epic. The storyline ain't half bad either. And the car customization is insane, I've got a whole stable of tricked out rides.

Fallout: New Vegas
If RDR is a lousy game, then I am a big fan of louses.

Making a honest lvl 300 is possible.
Fascinating. But in a train wreck sort of way.

Prop 8
Fat and stupid people get married all the time, the Lifetime Network has a reality show about it.

What are you playing now
I think I'm going to have to give up playing WoW due to my internet connection. It is just really crappy. Sometimes I get around 200 latency, but it shoots all over the place if anyone else in the house is even online. It's bad. LotR Online is bad too, about 150 latency, but it is more stable. WoW just drops out after awhile. I need to move.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!, just a dumping ground
Arkham Asylum was brilliant, but why are we going to another prison? Wouldn't it be cooler to explore a section of Gotham City itself? Maybe the Wayne skyscraper or even his manor?

What you did today
Thanks man. It's all stress related we think. He's been out of a job for 6 months now, and we've moved into my grandfathers place (more for convenience than financial reasons) but he's still gotta worry about my college tuition and my sister's. Not to mention my mom death, which was probably where he started going down hill a little. That is a lot of stress. Is he getting regular checkups?

Prop 8
I'm confused what you mean by the 70%. Prop 8 passed with 52% of the vote. While 7 million people voted for it, and I agree that is a huge number, there were also 6.4 million votes against it. That is a very large minority.
