I was thinking Shea Weber as well, since Nashville still has Ryan Suter and they really need a guy like Malkin. But I doubt that is enough for him, and Nashville probably doesn't have the moolah to sign him in the long run. What's his contract status anyways?

You only have one companion then, and you get them around level 8, so that seems a bit problematic. You can unsummon them or just keep sending them on quests every ten minutes. Make them go pick up your laundry and sell your junk, it's cathartic. Don't forget you can modify their combat abilities. The droid for my Jedi Knight was really annoying, he would grapple hook everyone I was fighting and pull them away. Finally I realized I could disable that. Honestly companions are a huge selling point for me, just like the Bioware RPG's.

Considering how amazingly police departments across the country handled the Occupy protesters, it's pretty sad that they get tared and feathered over this one instance. I would say the difference is in training and preparation. The forces that went into the Occupy literally had weeks to prepare and train for the eviction. There was one rough night in Oakland, and everyone stepped back after that and investigated how to handle the situation better. The UC Davis protest was handled poorly obviously. I think it might be an indicator of problems within that specific department, or maybe even more generally University police departments, but going after cops in general is a bit much.

Also, your companions can just sit back on your ship and have very little interaction, just like in every other Bioware title. You only get to take one with you at a time (not a requirement, but pretty helpful) so I can't imagine getting to annoyed with them. I'm not a fan of the cover system, I'm just not comfortable with it. But I can see where it will appeal to some people's playstyle.

That's funny, I did the same thing for my wife. Little bit of a pricey Christmas present, but it will be fun to have a gaming partner again.

*cough* Guild Wars 2 *cough* I stand corrected. Just have come to not expect such things from MMORPGs. Has anyone played the Agent, and if so, how is their story/playstyle ? I would say there is a fair amount of choice in each storyline in TOR. One of the earliest quests in the Sith Warrior campaign has you deciding the fate of three prisoners. You can let them go, keep them imprisoned, kill them outright, or let them fight for their lives. Then when you finish, your master lectures you about what the right choices were and why. Some are simple choice, some are a bit more complex.

But isn't that kind of the whole point of the Mandalorians? They aren't really with the Empire, they are just looking for the greatest challenge. They purposefully distance themselves from the greater conflict. I don't know, I've never been a big BH fan, even Bobba Fett. It's a shame because I love the abilities they have in combat. Did you play any other classes? I am just wondering if there might be a different storyline that you feel better about.
-
It's funny, but I'm playing the Bounty Hunter in beta because I know it is the last class I would want to really play in an MMO. And while the story has been engaging enough to this point, there are still some things about being all about the benjamins that rub me the wrong way.

Sorry to hear that Tale. I wasn't aware that companions were forced on you, my highest character is level 15.

Krookie didn't say anything negative about Malkin, he just wishes they would move him for a top defenseman. I loved Devin Setoguchi, but I was still excited that the Sharks moved him for Brent Burns, because it filled a serious hole in the Sharks lineup. I agree that there probably isn't anyone worth Malkin on the market though.

I'm looking for a way to cancel my cable TV subscription, but my wife is impeding me. I can get most shows through Netflix or Hulu Plus, but the tow networks she wants is Bravo and Lifetime. I can't figure out a way to stream those. Such a hassle, it's like $70 a month for nothing.

I'm getting pretty tired of the crappy dialogue in Skyrim. Especially after playing FO:NV and seeing what Obsidian can do. Heck, I'm playing TOR and the dialogue sounds a thousand times better and makes me feel like I have real choices, and that's an MMO. Ah well, it's still lovely to look at

There is a whole cult of Revan on the main Imperial planet, and there is a cave that you go into where they worship. You get to see his spirit and it's more impressive looking. You also recover his mask. It's a pretty cool storyline, I didn't get super far into it but he gets a lot of respect from some of the Sith. They also tend to be a bit less ruthless, as they are open to embracing both the light and the dark that Revan represents. I have no idea what that clip was from, probably a flashpoint.

It's always hard to really pin down these numbers, and then also figure out what the expectations are. What we do know is that Square Enix doubled it's profit forecast and gave a lot of that credit to DX:HR. They also released a DLC for DS3, which they typically aren't going to do for a game that tanked. Alternatively, Sega made it very clear that they were not happy with Alpha Protocol's sales.

Was DXHR a small team? Wow, they did an amazing job then, it was a beautiful game.

Tupperware is a pretty awesome plastic, btw. -
Calax, I'm joining up with a real world friend from work who has a very active guild, and they are all migrating over from WoW. They were originally formed during City of Heroes. I'm also getting my wife to play, so I'll be running a character with her with a slower pace. You are totally welcome to join, it seems like a very nice group. As for switching MMO's, like all games I find there is always a point where you just want something new. Personally I spent almost two years playing WoW and I enjoyed it, but eventually I lost interest in the world. Then I played Lord of the Rings Online for even longer, 5-6 years. It was a blast and the universe really kept me excited to explore. But eventually I started playing it less and less, and now I'm ready for something new. Given how Bioware has crafted the Star Wars universe, I think it will keep my attention for a long time.

Ok, time for my Sith Inquisitor write-up. I actually went with a Trooper for my second character, but a few levels in I realized this was the class for me, and I didn't want to play it too long and ruin the story for launch. I will say Ord Mantell (or the starter world for smugglers and troopers) was my favorite. It's a cool kind of cyberpunk feeling place. I started the Inquisitor thinking this is probably the last class I would want to play at retail, so it would be a good one to experiment with at beta. I was grossly mistaken there. The Inquisitor storyline is simply fantastic, and it drew me in tremendously. I figured it would be too dark for me and I would be turned off by the evil stuff, but it really kept things rather grey, and there were legitimate reasons for all the decisions I needed to make, even the dark side ones. You start out as a former slave who has been brought to the academy at Korriban due to a high aptitude in the Force. I also chose an alien race, and was pleasantly surprised how many lines of dialogue made sneering mention of my non-human lineage. Your trainer is fairly unhappy that you are receiving training, and right away you are pitted against his teacher's pet. While the pet gets the easy jobs, you are sent into very difficult situations and continuously triumph. I was very happy with the variety of quests. There were puzzles and interrogation sequences to go along with the 'search vault for artifact' instances. It was very well written. Also, the voicework for the Imperials is awesome, probably because all of those british and scottish accents. Inquisitors are also a blast to play, with lightening spells tearing opponents apart way before they get in reach. Eventually you get a companion, who is actually this bloodthirsty creature named Kham Val. He is indentured to your service, but he complains about what a weak sith master you are, especially if you show any mercy. I found Korriban to be an awesome planet and a neat reminder of KotOR. Dromund Kaas, the capital city of the faction, was also amazing. It was dark and gloomy with lightning and messed up wildlife to explore. But I'll go into more detail on that with my Bounty Hunter write-up.

My wife and I pay $35 a month each for a half million dollar policy. It's a bit pricey, but with the kids we figure it is very important. I'm glad to hear you have a policy that covers the house Tarna, that really is the biggest concern for me, making sure there is a roof over their heads if the worst happens.
-
We've been teaching our daughter about sportsmanship, so now when she wins she says, "Good job, loser" to her opponents.
-
I will do another full character write up in a bit, but this morning I got a starship for my bounty hunter, and it is glorious.
-
Tarna, it's good to hear from you. Now I'm wondering about life insurance. Can you pick up any type of policy worth a dang at this point? Are you doing ok with the medical bills and everything? Sorry if those questions are too personal, feel free to ignore them if they are. Take care!

EU criminalises claiming that drinking water stops dehydration

Misreading Australia for Austria is a pretty simple mistake to make, and I fess up to that. But Krezack thinking I don't know the difference between the two countries is a bit disheartening -

Nah, it's just all you convicts have built up a stronger tolerance to bacteria living in the the real world equivalent of Mad Max's world. He's *Austrian* Hurlshot... not Australian Ooops! Is that a suburb of Germany? -
These are all true. I'm looking around the room and I see 4 cups, and I know there is at least two in the bathroom.
