The NHL Thread.
Nope, I'm not too bummed about this year, they overachieved by sweeping Vancouver and taking the Kings to 7. Their days of being cup favorites are over, but they can still compete and maybe get a surprise run at some point. My suggestion would be to keep the 4th line, trade Pavelski for a decent scoring threat in front, keep all the defensemen and Niemi...just off the top of my head. This is still Thornton and Marleau's team, but they can build around Couture for the future.

Meanwhile in London: Beheading in broad daylight
I've read both, I've taken theology classes on both, and I've engaged in discourse with both imams and priests about both religions. So I'm pretty comfortable saying you are showing a clear bias towards one group over another. That is bad history.

Is PC gaming dead?
Did the most recent Final Fantasy Online game ever end up on the PS3? I realize it doesn't count because it is an MMO, according to greylord's bizarre metric. Red Dead Redemption and the major sports titles strike me as the only big AAA stuff missing from the PC. The sports games could be viewed as a real concern, as they used to be very successful on the PC. Front Page Sports and the EA NHL games were superior to what was offered on the consoles in their respective eras. But that may be the only genre that the PC has really lost completely over the years. It was never the go to platform for JRPG's or platformers. They still get most major FPS and RPG releases, and they dominate the RTS and MMO genres.

Is PC gaming dead?
Is there a AAA title that was released on multiple consoles and was NOT released on the PC? The PC is still getting most of the big blockbusters.

He'll ignore them or point out that they are "politically motivated" rather than religiously. That is really the point, they are politically motivated. Religion is simply the excuse people use to justify being terrible people.

Is PC gaming dead?
MMO's, like RTS games, are a perfect example of a genre that does better on PC's than it does on consoles. I have no idea why they would be dismissed as part of the PC gaming landscape. Facebook games (and casual games in general) can be dismissed because the market is clearly shifting towards tablets and phones for that sort of entertainment. You barely need a running PC to play them as well, meaning they do not drive much in the way of hardware sales.

Is PC gaming dead?
I'm not sure what you are looking to achieve here, that is exactly why the PC is clearly not dying. It has a vibrant and growing independent movement. That's a pretty big deal. Also, Obsidian and InXile aren't exactly small time developers, they are medium sized and they are both finding success by going independent. The big question is can you show me a AAA game that was released on both the 360 and PS3 and was NOT released on the PC?

Is PC gaming dead?
If you are going to list games exclusive to specific consoles, then you are basically saying the consoles they are not released on are also dead.

The Kickstarter Thread
I've never seen a project get that much and not manage to push over the threshold. Crazy, they've got 70 minutes left.

Is PC gaming dead?
Greylord, what is your definition of a port? Most AAA games are released for the PC right alongside the console versions. Rockstar is the only major developer I can think of that releases on the PC as an afterthought. Alan beat me to it Also most of us here own and use consoles, so your PC fanboi labels are a bit off base.

Is PC gaming dead?
But everyone already refuted all your points in the other thread. I would think this would be the point where you go "After looking at all the evidence, I guess my theory was off-base." That's how the internet works, after all.

What's on the idiot box...
The Bluths are back! The great thing about Netflix is you get the whole season all at once. The bad thing is I will finish the season in about a day and need to wait another year for the next one...if they do another one.

Meanwhile in London: Beheading in broad daylight
"In the name of X"? Pointless. People ultimatively kill eachother because they are stupid, greedy f***. Religion has got nothing to do with it. That's my point. Did you read the post before mine?

Eh, I could dig up thousands of stories like that being done in the name of Christianity.

Movies You've Seen Recently
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Kirk losing his father in the first film is a new twist, no? So new movie Kirk compared to TV show Kirk would be lacking that father figure? Just a possible explanation for the change in character, I don't really read that much into these things. I go for the explosions.

Shadowrun Returns
Isn't there a couple out at this point? It is the first I pledged. It does seem to be the first big RPG, for sure.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Quite a few of us own consoles and play them regularly, Greylord, so I'm not sure where you get the idea that you are alone in that here. What you are alone in is the misguided notion that PC gaming is dead. It has simply changed. You are correct that it has lost visibility in stores. But it has become a huge part of the digital marketplace landscape. Also you keep bringing up Steam alongside Blizzard, which is odd. Blizzard is a very successful developer, but Steam's success is for entirely different reasons and benefits countless developers. You can start worrying about PC gaming being dead when the big developers and publishers stop making games on the PC. That hasn't happened. Sure, Call of Duty sells a buttload of copies on consoles, and yet they still feel it is worth releasing a PC version. Why would they release their games on a dead system?

GeoGuessr
I noticed your internet connection has a bit to do with it, I could not get very clear images running on my laptop with wifi at work. One of my classes got really lucky and ended up with the Universal Studios sign for Orlando Florida. They got 5500 points for that one alone.
