I always chuckle at how people want to control protests. Like, feel free to protest, as long as it doesn't inconvenience me or make me upset. What do you think the point of protesting is if it doesn't cause a stir? The only things off limits should be property destruction and violence. You want to burn a flag, a bra, or a maga hat that you bought yourself, or march over a bridge and cause a traffic jam, go get it. Fight the power. ✊️

It's shocking that a guy that lives in a literal gold tower doesn't care about poor people. Who could have predicted such a thing?

Monday we dropped my daughter off at SFSU for her freshman year. It is pretty weird moving a child out of the house after 18+ years. I'm excited and nervous for her. I didn't sleep well the first night. So far so good, she had a job interview Thursday (lifeguard at campus pool.) She is taking the train home for the weekend, so we will still be seeing her often enough.

Enshrouded gets wet! This is a pretty big change to the whole game world. I've been playing a lot lately. I love the desert biome.

Hot damn, they are nailing this Fallout series. I don't know what we did to deserve this. I guess it is my cosmic reward for sitting through the Wing Commander movie in theaters.

Amazon Prime has always had the 2nd tier content compared to most streamers. They've hit it big with a few TV shows, but most of their documentaries and movies are pretty weak. That being said, I save way over the cost of Prime in shipping, so it's hardly an issue.

I use sunscreen as much as possible. Both my parents have stuff removed regularly by their dermatologist, so I'm trying to stay ahead of that. My skin doctor tells me most of the stuff I have is just barnacles, so that is an interesting old man thing I've got going on.

I've had Apple TV for the summer, mostly for Murderbot, but it does have a ton of good movies and shows that aren't anywhere else. I'll probably cancel it soon though. We get our live TV through Hulu, which comes with Disney+ and ESPN+, so that's a nice freebie. Then I pay for Netflix, Amazon Prime (more for the shipping), and usually add or drop HBO depending on mood. It's too many, but still cheaper than Cable was.

I love the idea, but not that games list. I don't need Huniepop or Postal in my games library.

I figure I should add my Youtube mainstays. I tend to find most youtubers to be hard to watch, but I have a couple fitness people that are solid. Yoga with Adriene is super calming. My wife and I often do routines in the early mornings when we are too tired to do a hard workout, but want to start the day off with some movements: Strength training is super important as you age, and I've been trying to incorporate more into my weekly regimen. I have some dumbbells and a bench, but I don't really know what I'm doing to work different muscle groups and not hurt myself. Tom Peto is the best I've seen on Youtube. Again, he's a calming guy. I don't need someone yelling at me when I'm working out in my garage. Lastly, the only person I watch on the couch is Pompsie.

I know a lot of people have done the twin thing, but he did it extremely well. The posture and expressions made it very clear which character was which.

So this is a sequel to the 2021 movie? I thought that was decent. This looks more silly, which is fine.

It's not though, because there are no longer consequences to actions.

NWN2 Enhanced Edition comes out tomorrow, so I decided to pick it up on GOG. I'm pretty excited to play it after so long. It doesn't look like they've done much graphically, but it was a decent looking game back in the day, so it should be fine.

Finished Murderbot. It was perfect. I'm glad it is already greenlit for season 2.

Yeah, I found the woke police were once again ridiculously off base. The Nightsisters were a bit toned down from the Clone Wars, but they fit the lore nicely. I haven't watched Ahsoka, I will watch it after Rebels. Given that I enjoy Rosario Dawson, I imagine I will be happy with it. It really just comes down to the actor in most of these series for me. I know the Obiwan Kenobi show was pretty weak, but I can watch Ewan McGregor do pretty much anything. Actually I'm watching Ewan McGregor ride an old motorcycle across Scandinavia with my wife in a series called Long Way Home. That is also pretty good.

I've been working my way through Star Wars content for the last year. I watched Clone Wars, then Bad Batch, and now I'm on Rebels. I just finished Rebels season 2, and it ended on a very high note. I decided to take a break from the animated stuff and watch some live action, but I'm trying to stay in chronological order, so I gave The Acolyte a try. It is set about a century before anything else. The first 4 episodes are bad. Bad acting, pacing, etc. I ended up fast forwarding through a good chunk of dialogue. It's still fun to look at, as is most Star Wars stuff for me. It also has Manny from the Good Place. I kept expecting him to throw a molotov ****tail and talk about Blake Bortles. He's the best actor in the bunch by a mile. In episode 5 it suddenly got good. Granted episode 5 was all action, but: So it ended better than it started, which is actually how I feel most of the Star Wars content is. Other than Bad batch, the animated stuff was all pretty tough in the first season. So I guess it is a shame it got canned, but not really. There are plenty of other things to watch.

I read that there will be an MMA fight on the White House lawn, and I did a double take when I saw that it was ABC news and not the Onion.

Hammerheads are really not dangerous to humans. Great whites, on the other hand, will bite you in half. When I swim in the ocean and I get separated from my group, every time my hand passes in front of my eyes on the downstroke, I get freaked out. What was that?!? Oh it's just my hand. There it is again!?! Oh, still my hand.
