Lionheart - I've tried to get into it a few times and it always sucks too much. The setting is awesome, it bums me out. Neverwinter Nights - The OC was painful for me. Hockey does struggle to get exposure in the US, so insecure is probably a good label. That doesn't keep it from being the best sport in the world, mind you.

I struggled to get into Deus Ex myself, I think I started Liberty Island 3 times before I finally got through it. But once I made it past that first part, the game turned awesome and I couldn't put it down.

International hockey also tends to be pretty light on contact. You won't see much in the way of hard checking among the men either.
