  1. This is the same company that released an extended ending for ME3 free of charge. Of course it isn't simply an act of goodwill, they are running a business, but it is in their best interest to keep the majority of their customer base happy. Weighing that against cost and profit is obviously important, they want to stay in business.
  2. It's typically just a double of whatever the sales tax is, at least in my state. I've been out to dinner with math teachers, they calculate the crud out of that thing. Me, I just round up. edit: Crazy thing is they tax tips in the US for waiters. Not sure how it works, exactly.
  3. 15% is low, 18% is average, 20% is high. That is the standard rate pretty much across the US for waiters. I tip everybody. Masseuses, bellhops, maids, concierges, bartenders, waiters, taxi drivers, dry cleaners, etc. Granted I don't go out often, so I try to do so with class. If you don't want to tip, stay home and service yourself.
  4. I finished with an archer. I liked it in that I just got to sit back and kill stuff. The combat wasn't for me, really.
  5. Expendables 3 - There were some very entertaining performances and some headscratcher moments. Antonio Banderas was probably the highlight, along with Wesley Snipes. Ronda Rousey was also pretty fun to watch, although she can't act to save her life. Kelsey Grammar was good, Harrison Ford was bad, etc.
  6. We get it, you have authority issues. That's really special. I didn't know it was time for our regular 'cops are bad, m'kay' thread. Time flies when you are discussing ethics in journalism and Bill Cosby, I guess.
  7. I don't know why they would need to stage anything on a ride-along. Your average patrol is going to be pretty boring no matter what. I know you think most cops roam the streets knocking over old ladies and roughing up shopkeepers, but that is probably only done on special occasions.
  8. You would be better off requesting a ride-along. Most police departments in the US have programs where you can ride along with an officer for a shift. It's pretty fun, and a good way to see how law enforcement actually works. Although that might only be an option in the crazy US.
  9. Wow. Looks like I'm getting Starz in October. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unnLg1TPCYM
  10. You have free speech on the internet. You are free to make your own site and say whatever you want. I like how Luzarius basically wants to strip companies of their freedom to do business so he can be free to spout bad stuff on their forums.
  11. You are not entitled to freedom of speech on the Bioware forums or here. The forums belong to the company. They can censor as they wish, because they are entitled to certain freedoms as a company.
  12. My favorite wines are usually Syrahs and Pinot Noirs. They are both reds with a good strong flavor. Whites tend to be sweeter. Here you go: http://www.winemag.com/red-wine-basics/ I have wineries all around me, so I just go to a few a do a tasting to figure out what I like. French style wines tend to be sweeter and fruitier, while Italian tend to be dry and spicy. I've really only been getting into wine in the last couple years, so that's the gist of what I've picked up. The winery does make a pretty big difference by the way, or rather where they get their grapes.
  13. TN this is awesome, he might be my new favorite Yoga instructor:
  14. You can also look up specific videos on back strengthening Yoga exercises. Something like this will work:
  15. Hm...i´m sceptical, twisting my body to help my back sounds very counterproductive, not saying it won´t work. Just being sceptical, i´m a big guy (and i don´t mean fat with that), Bending myself doesn´t work very well, i know its a matter of training. The idea however is interesting. hmmmm...thinking about it. Start with beginner programs. Most exercises or postures have a lot of variations depending on your ability and flexibility. When I started, touching my toes without majorly bending my knees was a pipe dream, but know I'm really seeing some progress in my hamstrings and my back. This girl is a good place for beginners, plus she is pretty cute: https://www.youtube.com/user/yogawithadriene Then my other favorite is Denise Austin, who does a wide range of cardio, pilates, and yoga in her videos. She is 58 and looks better than most people in their 20's, and she's been making videos for about 30 years.
  16. I'd recommend Yoga if you want to strengthen your back. The nice thing is all you need is a mat and some youtube videos to get started on that. Mix in some Pilates as well. I started in on a daily regimen about 6 months ago and my back pain has lessened considerably.

  18. Yeah, my middle schoolers think everything is racist or sexist. It take a bit of work to get them to understand that discussing demographics, stereotypes, cultures, etc. is not bigotry, and is really the only way to develop an understanding about diversity and world issues.

  20. So apparently I get air sickness. I was pretty much miserable for the flight and the drive home. Weird, I was fine on the way TO Vegas, but flying home was horrible. Last trip I got sick as well, but I blamed that on the massive hangover and a bad sandwich. Today I was sober and healthy until the plane lifted off.
  21. True. She sized me up right.
  22. I remember my first job interview as a teacher was at an inner city school with a black principal. It went terrible. She waa cutting me off midway through questions and pretty much rushed me out the door. Was it because I was lily white? I was pretty frustrated, this was one of the worst schools in the area and it was clear I was not going to get an offer, despite having openings. But it worked out, a few days later I got a much nicer gig at a great school. My chances of burnout would have been higher at the other job. She probably did me a favor, but it still felt terrible at the time.
  23. I am on my way home from Vegas in much better shape than the previous trip. 4 days is pretty much ideal, we got to do a ton and I just started to get worried about how much money I am spending. It was a great trip, no luck at the tables, but good dinner and some fun times with my wife.
  24. My 1200 baud modem scoffs at your torrent issues.
