  1. I've been jumping around on a few characters. The starting areas are very lively, and that is a welcome change from the ghost town speed levelling moat mmo's are today. My dwarf hunter is currently the most fun to play, should have named him Volourn.
  2. That's why it's so important to take care of your knees when you are young.
  3. I can't imagine they won't release content over time. I mean, it's great right now, but once you get a bunch of people at the level cap, you'd think they would have no choice.
  4. The pop culture references in Classic WoW are now just cultural references. They are too old to be considered popular. It's like when all the music from the 90's I grew up listening to started showing up on Classic Rock stations.
  5. It's probably just a self defense mechanism we've all built, since we get our share of people using alt accounts and people possibly being paid by the Russians. I mean, I haven't seen you and Bruce in the same room at the same time, so there is always the chance...
  6. It will get suitably inundated by strange new people on release date, and clear out after about a month. Some of us have been here since the dawn of time.
  7. I am pretty sure the game is free with the subscription.
  8. I recommend you do some cooking, too. Do some fishing, visit the cheese shops, just wander around and explore the world. It is well-crafted and I think that gets lost as everything gets bigger and faster.
  9. Part of the problem with long established mmo's is everyone is focused on the endgame and little on the slow path to the cap. That slow journey is the most engaging part for me, and it is nice to have it rekindled for WoW classic. It feels like a nice slow walk through the world instead of a mad dash.
  10. That's kind of the beauty of these forums. I don't recommend talking about this stuff with family, friends, work colleagues unless you have a certain type of relationship. Even with my wife, I tend to exercise as much tact as possible, and I tell her everything. Here we all let loose a bit and that's fine. Sometimes it gets pretty cyclical, but it's still been neat over the last decade watching all of us get older and slowly shift to being old and cantankerous.
  11. Hey, at least it will wipe away the Jared Leto Joker period, so that's something.
  12. Oh man, the Eagle rescues always bothered me on LotR. I don't remember it being well explained in the books, either. Why didn't they just jump on an eagle at the beginning of the journey? Also Frodo is an unreliable narrator who passes out at the most important parts.
  13. I am sure it will even out within a week or so. It is neat to have that fresh world feel. I miss that from when new MMO's were launching every 6 months.
  14. Pretty funny running around the new zones. I managed an undead mage up to level 4 despite the chaos. Human area was packed.
  15. Yeah, I resubbed last night. I am weak.
  16. I hope you are able to repair the scepter, Dinohulk.
  17. algroth is a disney plant! How much are they paying you, corporate shill?
  18. Watching Jeff Goldblum experience stuff looks like must watch TV.
  19. Whoa, Mandalorian looks really good. I had no interest in Disney+ and now I'm like, what subscription can I cut to make that happen?
  20. I don't know what your talking about, but I did notice this. https://wqad.com/2019/04/19/illinois-spends-more-per-student-on-school-administration-than-any-other-state-report-finds/ Yikes, you guys are swimming in paper pushers.
  21. It is super easy to gain influence with your followers now, yes.
  22. Ah, I miss the Yo Gabba Gabba stage of my kid's life.
