  1. In the mean time you can play the StarCraft Total Conversion WC3 mod....I mean, if Blizzard doesn't shut them down for EULA violations.
  2. Not really, if you look up KotOR (not 2, the first one, Bioware), the PC version got lower scores, while the Xbox got higher. There were also fewer reviews for KotOR. The Xbox version had more bugs too IIRC.
  3. Please...don't...feed...ramza. He doesn't need ANY help. JEFFY IS DEAD, GET ON WITH YOUR LIVES!!!
  4. I would LIKE to say that PC reviewers are more discerning, but the cynic in me says that Console titles make more, and thus their publishers shell out more 'advertising cash' to the review sites.
  5. So...um, he's like a stuffed shirt who doesn't really know what the hell he's talking about; that's somewhat reassuring.
  6. Ah yes, I haven't been there in a long time, and last time i was on rmuser's site, it said 'There is no Framework' across the top, so I figured they imploded on themselves, I'll have to go visit them sometime!
  7. It scares me when he says this, who is this 'Grok' fellow?
  8. Yes, he obviously missed the tutorial somewhere. Everybody knows that at successful venture starts with rat bashing in a cave/cellar somewhere to get some experience... (w00t) I guess, that wasn't what the rat referred to... nevermind... " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The rats and Herve makeup Fallout MMO's dev team, he lives in a box with them in an alley. The STRIP'S pretty funny. Even VISC liked it.
  9. What was 17chan again? I don't even remember. I did just remember thought, that I'm registered under some name or other on the Lucasarts forums, I did that when KotOR2's date was pushed back; and I'm also banned from theforce.net forums, for calling Star Wars a Soap Opera, saying WTF when I should've said WT*, and being a general troll...I mean, c'mon it was just TOO EASY over there.
  10. or we could toss plague infested rats at him????? Herve meat Rat rat meat Herve plague!!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not a fan of Penny Arcade? "Touching myself...touching the rats....touching myself with the rats." I still remember that line, that strip was second only to Gary and Bethsoft.
  11. That depends on your definition of 'linear'. There were many, may different ways of playing through that game. I was partial to the 'run out and bonk the patrolling guard over the head with an elbow strike, wait for his buddy to check him out, and then bonk him too'. This one should be even MORE interesting, the preview I read in CGW says that you'll be able to use WHATEVER MEANS NECESSARY (including lethal force) on all missions. Stealth will still be there though. That makes me happy. It also has knife combat. HUZZAH!
  12. Banned from: http://forums.majorgeeks.com <---bunch of elitist bastards...this is when I learned that even if the Admin of a board is an idiot, it is prudent NEVER to disagree or poke fun at them. www.pennyarcade.com/forums <---not really sure HOW I got banned here...it was...odd. http://forums.bioware.com <---I am a hopeless troll and it was just too easy. I have vowed never to return as what I did was childish and I've <hopefully> grown beyond that. 13. are you talking about the Yavin Station? That shouldn't really count as an extra map. (Bioware just added it in as a place to buy lightsabre crystals, I think. ) I wouldn't call the writing "abysmal," but it could have used quite a bit more editing. The spelling/grammer mistakes were what really put me over the edge, though. Bastilla? The majority of the game's writing does feel rushed and half-finished, though; ideas that would have been well-executed had Obsidian gotten more time. It felt like Planescape Lite. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, I was talking about Yavin Station, and I DO realize this. They still added it, along with items that weren't in the Xbox version, and the entire package overall was significantly more polished. If my PC version isn't more polished after having to wait two extra months, I'm gonna be pissed.
  14. Or if they don't have Temp Saves/Installs disabled, you can do what I did to that system at the Car Dealership. :D
  15. Nowadays, blocking Google is about the same thing as blocking the Internet. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Feh, I was basically gonna say just what you just said. Depends on the system...the one at the Car Dealership I screwed around with...had no reason to have access to Google, or even a live connection for that matter. All they needed was access to their database, and a cached page for the stuff they wanted you to access via that kiosk. However, I've yet to see a school network that had Google blocked, it's just to powerful a resource. If I do come across one though...I have some other methods, on a system by system basis of course.
  16. Is Google blocked? I find that you can get around most firewalls by doing a Google search and making the site you want come up as a link, and clicking it. I managed to do that with MY school's firewall. It seems every time they see a new site that I've visited non-school related they block it, so I just have to find ways to break their firewall. One time I managed to install Firefox on a Car Dealership's network via the Kiosk they had out so you could browse their website. I figured they had at least half a brain and had it cached, but NO it was a direct connection to the internet. I WOULD'VE used the IE they had, but they had the Address Bar disabled, and the Search Function disabled on one of the Kiosks, so I proceeded to do a search for mozilla.org (on the one with the Search Function enabled), did a temp save (as downloads were disabled) and installed from the Temp Save. Even better, they had all their logon info saved, so I later got full rights to their network after watching one of the employees logon. :D
  17. What you've said is true, but Bioware polished the PC KotOR up quite a bit, even adding in an entire map, new items, etc. Sure, they later released the same content for Xbox gamers, but not for a good couple'a months. If I get ripped EVEN MORE for buying the PC version, I'm gonna be right pissed.
  18. Even being a cynic myself, I sure do hope you're wrong on this one...else Obsidian will have become Bio's lackey in not only titles but also quality, and that's a bad thing indeed. Course no one but me and some of the people on this board are gonna care anyway.
  19. Ooh, I need to ammend my list. Beyond Good & Evil and American McGee's Scrapland. Both very good games, and have a pretty similar feel to them, though Scrapland is, dare I say it, more...dark. Masochist Massage. :D
  20. I assume you're a Dev (or a doppel). I never said it was no good, I said I'd heard of it via the commercial, but it really didn't make it look too good. For the record: Puerile=Contract J.A.C.K. Memorable=No One Lives Forever (both)
  21. Abuhwha? <tries to remember if he ever offended Teatime in his sordid forum career> P.S. I agree about Bioware/Obsidian. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was the 'perhaps he did a Teatime' remark, which I figured was some kind of insult. Otherwise, feel I extend my invitation to you as well D: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Heh, no, all I meant was perhaps he'd disappeared from this Forum, but still posts somewhere or other else on the internet...like you.
