  1. I voted 'Not really the brightest light bulb are you?' on the grounds that: A. It's a horrible idea. B. After KotOR II, I'm doubting Obsidian wants to work with Lucasarts any time soon again. C. You've posted this abomination of a poll twice in the same forum.
  2. Hrm, well first up on my list are Metroid Prime 2, Mario Kart, and Spiderman 2. This Tales of Symphonia, I am, shall you say, 'intrigued'. What is it about? Also, are the Pikmin games worth a buy? Ooh! I can do rentals now huh?!
  3. Actually, I was just thinking that. The thing looks bigger than the Duke, and the D-Pad looks like it would be a pain to use if you ever had to 'roll' your thumb across it. The shoulder buttons are placed all the way at the top in the middle too, which makes them look awkward to use at best. In brief, looks really cool. Probably more painful on the hands than an original Xbox controller. I'm still dying to see what Nintendo has this round...
  4. What's really funny, is it looks to me to have the same brushed aluminum finish everyone was complaining about when the Xbox 360 pics were first released. Hrm...
  5. Am I the only one that finds this funny? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope, that's hilarious.
  6. If you really want an example of how much better the Cube's hardware was then the PS2 and Xbox's guts, just look at the warranty. Sony and MS give you 90 days. Nintendo gives you a full year.
  7. Why? The only thing we've seen so far are very short glimpses of games that, in my opinion, didn't look that impressive, plus a bunch of impressive technical specs. There's nothing revolutionary about the new Xbox. It's all been done before. There's a PowerPC processor (with a bunch of cores) an ATI graphics card, a small harddrive, wireless controllers, a quite ugly design (again) and nothing else. Why get excited about a console that offers nothing new, just the same old stuff with a little extra power behind it? I am hoping Nintendo and Sony has something extra to offer this time around. I think Nintendo might actually win this round, IF they indeed do have something up their sleeve. At least the Nintendo president said something along the lines, "Today's consoles already have great graphics. To bring the gaming industry forward, the new consoles need more than just better graphics". I think he hit the nail right on the head. One more thing: Why did Microsoft rush the Xbox 360? They offer nothing inventive, give their opponents a whole year to beat them in every aspect and the only thing they can hope for is that the developers have time to churn out lots and lots of quality game titles between the release of their Xbox 360 and the release of the other consoles. If that doesn't happen, then I believe both Nintendo and the PS3 will surpass the new Xbox. Microsoft didn't exactly blow the competition out of the water with the Xbox 360, but we'll see if they have something clever planned for the future. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, Xbox 360 does have USB 2.0 connectivity, and interactivity with pretty much any USB 2.0 device (including the PSP) according to the stuff said over at Tom's Hardware Guide. Nintendo should've won the last round, everyone couldn't get over the aesthetic appearance of the box though. It had better hardware than the PS2, almost equal hardware to the Xbox. A cheaper price tag than both, and because it didn't try to be a multimedia center, it has less things to go wrong with it. Because of this, whereas PS2 and Xbox consoles will be on the scrap heap in a few years, the Cubes will probably last as long as their predecessors.
  8. It is? I checked it out on Gamespot as it and the 007 title were the only ones I wasn't familiar with/didn't really want anyway, and it got a 9.something IIRC. Is it another case of using the same review for all platforms? Anyhow, I figured even though I didn't want those two titles, if the system, games, and peripherals are in as good of condition as the seller said it was, it's worth at least $500 new, that's without the extra controller and memory card too. So even subtracting the price of those two games ($100), I still got away with robbery.
  9. What're the controls like? Shooters usually bug me when I'm left to control them with analogue, the only reason I wanted Metroid was because I'd tried it and it controls surprisingly well (for me).
  10. Here's a LINK to it and the games/stuffs it came with. Are there any other games that warrant a purchase?
  11. For someone who's trying 'not to start some stuipd internet war' you've sure opened with an argumentative tone. I could go for anything that's not Fantasy personally. There still aren't really that many good Sci-Fi CRPGs. This genre is dominated by fantasy. Indeed. Oh, and try to work on your spelling and grammar. It's painful to look at a lower case vowel when you're referring to yourself.
  12. It has been said multiple times that the Devs aren't going to say anything about it yet. When they do, we will most likely have a name for the game, this section's header will be changed, and you will know some facts. Until then, it's all speculation. That's the way it was the last two times. That's the way it is this time. Stop rocking the friggin' boat n00b. I dunno, what? Then you don't know many people. Or you don't understand the term 'PC Gamer'. For someone who calls themself such, it usually implies they favor that platform over others, or even only use that platform. Obviously you're a n00b. It's still speculation whether or not Project New Jersey is a console exclusive or not, based on the Jobs page on Obsidian's main site. It could be they're just looking for more people familiar with console development to make that side of a dual platform go a little more smoothly. Maybe, maybe not. It all depends on the way the contract works assuming it's a console exclusive. Then you're not a PC gamer are you. PC gamers in general enjoy tweaking their systems to get the best performance. Messing around with the guts of a .ini file to bust out a couple extra frames per second, or make their hardware perform better than it actually should. That's not even getting into the whole overclocking scene. I'm glad that works for you. The keyboard and mouse peripherals don't work for all games on an Xbox though, I've looked into it. Really though, PC gaming is about as easy as console gaming so long as a game isn't horridly buggy so you need a patch on release. The only difference is you have to wait a couple minutes while it installs. I haven't seen much 'battling'. I've seen people asking for a PC version because that's their platform of choice. If you think this is a 'battle' I think you're fairly new to the internet, as well as not understanding PC gamers.
  13. Damn. If they actually do decide to go ahead and use a VR Goggles type setup, and it can control the way your character looks in shootery games, I might actually be able to get along well enough even with the crappy thumbstick for movement...too bad Nintenedo Shooters are the only ones I can really get along with anyway.
  14. The Kue-Jin Ending had to be the worst. For the PC I mean. The cab driver was indeed . Lone Wolf ending was kinda cool, . Prince ending is almost identical to the Anarch ending . Camarilla ending the . If you didn't remember to already Arkan, you should load up a save and check your email right before going off to face LaCroix, there's something there for you from Jack, or as all the other Emails said, 'A Friend'.
  15. ... But we agree on hot lesbians, and that's a start! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't know of any demographic that doesn't like hot lesbians. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Christian Fundamentalists! I'm surprised someone hasn't suggested her for Lady Death ... <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  16. No, it was awful. It took a beast of system to run it if you were playing it on PC when the graphics, A.I. and Physics weren't even all that impressive, it had a horrid use of bullet time (the bar should not fill up that fast, or on it's own). For a good game that's more 'Matrix-like' than Enter the Matrix, you should try Max Payne 2. It did everything EtM was supposed to do better. And I haven't bashed this game yet. But aside from their MMO (I haven't played that yet) the Wachowski brothers' track record for 'expansions' to the original movie aren't all that great.
  17. Nice try -- I am not so easily baited. I do find the rest of this discussion to be very interesting... Cloris <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh well it is unfortunate you measure your self-worth in relation to a man my dear. Look at you. You could be an attractive girl. If you did some physical labour, cut your hair short, grew out your body hair and wore boots for example. You mustn't get sucked into their hetropatriarchy.
  18. Hmm...the kiss scene with Monica Bellucci and Jada Pinkett from Enter the Matrix wasn't half bad <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, but the rest of the game sucked so badly even that couldn't redeem it. I traded my copy in to go towards HL2.
  19. ... Do I want to be invisible to people of bots? ... Should I take Hacking or Bot Domination? " Hehe.) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Go with hacking. You can get money from the ATMs (even the one in the middle of that military base if you watch the guard patterns) which you can then put towards more biomod canisters. The higher your hacking level, the more money you get IIRC.
  20. That's a game...with no new canon (it's all during the trilogy)... But still:
  21. Ahhh, there you go, you! It's way off topic. Anyway, if we value competence over gender, then genderless titles are the way to go. I'm not nearly as militant as others on the issue. To keep it on topic, if one can master the Force, then one is a Master of the Force, no matter what equipment one carries for gentic reproduction (soemthing the Jedi aren't supposed to do anyhow). The above is, of course, just my opinion, Cloris <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Are you a woman? Three of the five letters that make up your description are M. A. N. You're too dependant on men Cloris.
  22. I can sleep when I'm dead! (Damn insomnia. )
  23. I actually want to hear more of you proposing to thirty year olds. It's much more interesting than the original topic...
  24. Nah, alcoholism runs in my family, I'd rather not test my luck. I don't smoke weed either, just the smell of the smoke and the 'contact high' bugs me. Gives me a headache rather than making me feel good. Fathers and sons, how sweet their relation to oneanother is. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You've got a lot of hours in therapy to look forward to when you get around to sorting all this out ... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My relationship with my father is a double edged sword, he's a licensed MFT. Emotional abuse and therapy in one convenient package!
