Limited Backwards Compatibility means the Xbox games won't work with the Xbox 360, they need to recompile the Xbox games to be compatible with the 360, so you will either have to trade your games in for 360 compatible ones, or just buy new ones. Only the most popular games will be recompiled such as the Halo games, Jade Empire, the KOTORs etc. EDIT: Ok now its just confusing. Well, I think it's hitting the more important point, which is that fighting in bars is illegal and that if you attack someone, you have to accept responsibility for it. Protesting that your victim is prosecuting you for a hate crime rather than assault is just a way of making it all somebody else's fault. "It's not my fault, it's that gay's fault." I would hope that if you don't hate gays, the trial would reveal that and you would be found innocent of hate crime and guilty of common assault, but given that hate crime against gays does exist, it seems reasonable that this be tested in a court. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You're so naiive, it's adorable! I consider myself of the Christian faith, however those parts of the Bible that disagree with homosexuality disagree with me, and I don't understand why that of all things would be included. I think it's of interest Jesus never said anything about it one way or the other, of course that was his style, don't condemn, lead by example. I mentioned the hate crimes because it's the one aspect of homosexuality (that could possibly affect me, I don't really get into fights though) that I don't like, that's been made possible through legislation in recent years.

Me too. No game ever came out for the PS2 that I wanted that didn't eventually come out on PC...XBox has the Halo series and Jade Empire, so I'm sold. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Was this supposed to be some sort of weird reverse sarcasm? I can think of maybe 6 Sony titles that got ported to PC off the top of my head. Most Xbox titles either get ported eventually, or are dual platform PC/Xbox titles from the start.

On topic, only thing I really have to say about homosexuality, and the legal implications it entails, is it can imply some really nasty lawsuits. Hypothetically, say you get into an argument with a guy at a bar, it get's physical, you lay him out. Guy turns out to be gay, guy is also a jackass. Guy decides to get the ACLU to back him up, all of a sudden, rather than being prosecuted for assault, you're being prosecuted for a hate crime. Of course, this isn't really a beef with gay people, so much as the legal system in America in general, and especially hate crimes. There's a lot of ways they can be abused, and along with other 'positive discrimination' (affirmative action, etc.), it seems to promote inequality and strife rather than goodwill.

Hey guys, they're saying Oblivion is a Xbox 360 Launch title... If this is what that console can do I'm not impressed. The graphics and stuff didn't look all that different from some of the late cycle Xbox games.

Well, in terms of processing power, I think the PS3 is something like 20x more powerful than the PS2, and the Xbox 360 is about 5 times more powerful than the Xbox. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> GEEZ! Can that much even be used practically? I mean, the games were getting pretty close to looking real already...

They're also supposed to be opening up production for literally EVERYONE. Kinda like VALVe did with Halflife in the mod scene. Should be super easy to code for. BTW, how much more powerful are the PS3, and the Xbox 360 than their predecessors? Gamecube was already a more powerful platform than the PS2, slightly weaker than the Xbox.

I dunno, I'm kinda partial to the white, or better yet, the brushed aluminum myself. Then again, I'm probably the only person on the face of the Earth who liked the Xbox 360 design. Actually, I liked it more than this. This thing looks like some sort of sexed up technological tortoise to me. Then again, the Xbox 360 looked like a PC Minitower case.
