  1. I found this browsing through the exstensive archives of You-Tube and was quite suprised that I've never seen it before - in case I'm not the only one I thought I would share it. I don't know what story elements were originally to be triggered for this event to happen, but it's a very interesting little video. I can only hope that it will featured in the TSLRP.
  2. Sure it does, if there is some medium for the radiated waves to travel through. Granted, if the water falls in a vacuum, then it's silent (though electromagnetic radiation certainly needs no medium), but in an atmosphere, well, the sound certainly travels, even if there's no-one there to hear it ... MU, yourself..
  3. Great! Can I get my extravagent lifestyle funded by the taxpayer now? what!? aren't you already!? what kind of princess are you?
  4. Omega drivers are quite good! I used them alot when I had an old Radeon 9200, they actually made the old card capable of running alot of modern games fairly acceptable - while the ATI Cataclyst drivers weren't able to push the card to it's limit. But uninstalling the ATI Cataclyst drivers are a pesky buisness! and I recommend some kind of cleaner program to get them all deleted, otherwise you'll experience some truely annoying problems (same goes for uninstalling Omega).
  5. People could be banned for misusing their power?.. I think it's an interesting idea, player regulated worlds are however hard to govern at best. And the potentiel for largescale misuse would deter most developers, which is understandable.
  6. I played Tales in the Desert for some time - it's a MMO that focus entirely on players creating the world - all buildings are player made, the minor "quests" were issued by other players (though only done by agreeing to do something for something - if they have something you need etc.).. Some where miners, if they had settled in an area with a mine - some were farmers, others were builders/carpenters. The only problem with the game was that it lacked a true purpose - there was an overall mission and important at that - but it was distant and required that every player in the game fufilled a part in the greater whole - which felt a bit too abstract. But I was really inspired by the game, as it focused entirely on players to create a dynamic world - also there was no combat what so ever - which of course meant that people with an iching trigger-happy finger steered quite far away from the game (bonus in my book). But as I said, the game unfortunately lacked a real purpose, which was why I ultimately dropped it - I mean, after harvesting my greenhouses for who-knows-what-time, I missed some deeper overarching story to drive me forward.
  7. Atton: "well, on the bright side, at least Alderaan doesn't exsist in this timeline!"
  8. yeah, intelligence - or awaerness - or wisdom - the thing is that while skills have an impact on dialouge options, as long as you have one or two of the important 3 ones (those mentioned) most dialouge options will be available to you.
  9. She generelly prefers a neutral response or observation - being either too pious or down right cruel (which the rather strict code of good and evil in SW demands) will put her off. She wants you to reconsider every act and see the larger picture of consequences in every action. But she's interesting with both max and no influence what so ever. So do how *you* feel. that'll give you a better gaming experience overall.
  10. bigotry knows no race.
  11. They are probably processed through some other filter beforehand since I only get ****-related spam on my inbox. Enlargement pills, reduction tablets... Funny how that goes. Like "this guy was stupied enough to buy Neverwinter Nights, we ought to reward him for that: less inches!". they naturally assume that your are "equipped" too well - since only very potent males would buy NWN2! .. of course.. - But people seem to have some interesting games in their lists, I've already found a few that I want to play. Top of the list is Sam & Max though.
  12. why do you think I look so depressed..
  13. a picture says more than a thousand words.
  14. Aye, I haven't bought many games in the last few years - which is mainly due to the shortage of good games as well.. I would however love to see a Freespace III made with the newest graphics and an equally good storyline as the previous titles.. We need a "golden age" for story driven games again.
  15. You'll more likely end up watching the film yourself.. choose a romantic film, with mature themes (no, not lesbian porn).. show that you are a sensitive person, but not adolescent in your choices.
  16. Just relaying my experience with paladins. REALLY Don't like em. Maybe my experience is out of the ordinary but I just happen to have had really bad experiences with them. It takes an exceptionally good player to not cramp the style of the whole group. Im not really trying to prove anything. Maybe the term I used is inappropriate but it more or less sums up how I feel about this particular class. The 1337 spelling thing is a legacy from other boards. Sorry if it pissed off the general populace. I'll try to submit to the particular social and ethical foundations of this board.... -Farb Han er bare i generelt d
  17. everything but the exciting stuff - but I'm sure your friends will fill you in - except about what really happened..
  18. Water in itself makes no sound, Meta..
  19. Yep. I had that problem. Albeit I didn't download any patches. Teehee. It is really annoying especially when you have trek through like the Red Giant mountains and you end up with the classic, "You must gather your party before venturing forth". try either letting them die (one answer) or doing a verbal command to wake them up (got that from Gorth) I always used the voice commands (right click the character faces) and press "follow me" - sometimes however they still won't attack enemies.. but after a few battles they returned to normal.. Almost made me quit the game entirely at one point though.. before I learned that little trick.

    LOST

Jack was high on drugs - I think that could explain his outburst.. A fact that made me laugh, about Charlies death, was that the "window" wasn't positioned very high - meaning the room would never fill entirely up with water because of the air pressure. But I would've liked if they'd made it more believable - the grenade could've hurt him bad or something.

they took away my precious... ^_^
  24. The Fountain - One of those films you don't really know what to think about - it's more like an elaborate piece of art than a film. It's from the director (Darren Aronofsky) who wrote and instructed "Requiem for a Dream" and "Pi" - also two very interesting films. - I really don't know what to say about this film - I guess it's something of a cross between "Solaris", "The New World", "2001: A Space Odyssey" and some modern romantic film (choose your pick). With a twist of religion, spirtuality, death, life and the human condition.
