LOST
You think he was wearing a bulletproof vest or somehow the bullet didn't hit a vital part?

What are you playing now?
They could add and extra difficulty after Expert where these rules apply - tougher and more numerous opponents. Because I like Expert the way it is. We spent almost 2 hours to get to level 4, so I don't want to play a game like that every time I log on, I just don't have the time.

What are you playing now?
Me and Deadly_Nightshade joined a modded Left 4 Dead server yesterday - I've never been pushed to my limits like that before.. It was like playing on Impossible compared to Expert. All the special infected were tougher, would hit harder and were faster (Hunters could jump quite far etc) and the normal infected would deal out alot of damage, on top of that they had increased the number of infected, so often you would come across a "rave party" of 100+ just waiting to rush you (and the AI director always saw fit to spawn a new horde while the already huge one was on top of you). I think we had almost 150-200 on screen at one time. The survivors melee was harder as well luckily, so often the most viable strategy was to stick together and push back the endless hordes. It was the most fun I've had in L4D yet!

LOST
Well, the writers said that there won't be any paradoxes. I don't think that young Ben will survive being shot. The Others will probably find his body, take it away and work their magic on it. Or maybe the Smoke Monster will bring him to Jacob and make him the next leader? We see him kill his father and the Dharma Initiative when he is much older (30-40ish) so I don't think the Others will take him in, they will most likely resurrect him and then send him back.

Host Master and the Conquest of Humor
And the fact that back when we used to play those kinda adventure game we had alot more patience, because that's what the games required.. today it's pretty hard to imagine anything going that "slow".

LOST
It doesn't really make sense to me that Ben is a part of the island like that (he seems to "human").. Although I can't see how it could be any other way now.. Kudos for actually killing a child on primetime though (as in not being afraid of offending people)

NBC's Kings
Still, we can't endorse it on here as it is technically illegal. Discussing it is okay, just don't link to any sites..

NBC's Kings
Hulu isn't available in Denmark, but I'll check out NBCs page later (it wouldn't load just now).. Does the story follow the original one (within reason, seeing as it is set in modern times) or are they just using the very basic elements (Goliath, a king, David and a kingdom)

NBC's Kings
This thread isn't about piracy, so let's stick to discussing the show. Unfortunately Kings isn't available in my country, so I have no way of watching it, but it sounds really cool. Are there any online sites where you can pay to watch Kings online (from anywhere in the world)? Because there are alot of American TV shows that we don't get here.

Host Master and the Conquest of Humor
Do you have the entire chicken? or just the head or bottom part? entire chicken: only the head only the bottom

Host Master and the Conquest of Humor
I'll say that... Funny little game and a good tribute to the old school comic adventures.

What are you playing now?
Thanks to some great mods (Magna Mundi and a mod for changing the maps) I'm finally able to enjoy EU3! I love the modding communities.. Most of my favorite games are infinitely more enjoyable now..

I've tried telling my mind that - but it insists on these impossible standards..

Movies you have seen recently
Personally I don't think Bladerunner is a very good film, but I'm a big fan of Phillip D. so that probably influenced my opinion on that. I wish you had chosen another film as your argument. Because I think BR looks very dated while I think both Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction are more "modern" in their artistic approach. Apples and Oranges I guess - since movies and art can be as timeless to some as hoplessly dated to other. But I agree with the overall point you are making.

Thin Client Gaming
No idea - if there's latency (delays between an action and the reaction if I understand correct) I think we would sense it, no matter how "fluid" the picture is.

Thin Client Gaming
And here I thought I was being innovative when I suggested this to a friend the other day.. * It's a cool idea, but we are some years away from it being possible on large scale - mostly because internet speeds aren't up to the task yet. When we get either optical fibers or very good wireless connections this will probably begin to gain ground. Unless hardware supplier and manufacturers manage to kill it before it ruins their buisness. * (I'm at work, where I don't have sound and I couldn't hear the interview - so pardon me if I just repeated what the guy said).

Max Payne 3 announced
I don't think so, maybe the mouth-area - but that's about it. - Looking at the website I see icons for the Xbox and PS3, but not PC .. maybe it's console exclusive?

Max Payne 3 announced
Why is Rockstar developing this? I thought Remedy was an independent studio, or did I miss something? On that note I'm a very worried about this, since GTA IV was the most craptacular game I've ever had the misfortune of installing on my computer - due to the fact that I still can't play the game because of bugs - every patch have introduced new ones and made the old ones worse. And I won't trust any release from that company again, before I see some truely awesome reviews.

Games you never finished
Don't bother, unless they decide to actually make the next episode(s), as it stands now the ending is just a built up the actual climax of the story. Why not? (I've enjoyed this game immensly, so I'm simply curious)

Empire: Total War
problem is that they don't tell you the traits when you're able to look at them down below, I found that if I booted one in favor of a better one (like 3->7 stars) the bonus's were the same thing but the amount of the bonus leap up Yeah they do, you can right click on them just like the ministers.

Games you never finished
congratulations! I've found Planescape in bargain bin (it looked pretty used, but seemed to be in working condition) - I've installed the game, but I can't get the resolution mods to work and unless I can do that, it'll stay on my list.
-
Empire: Total War
on Ministers: It's more important what traits they have imo - because most of them are tied to specific positions.

Movies you have seen recently
Still I think it's pretty unforgiving to devalue something because it's "dated" .. I still find 30's jazz cool, even though it's 70+ years old. That being said - one should never value things mainly on their age (except good whiskey), which is what I think you were stabbing at?

The Battlestar Galactica Thread
I thought they were going for an Atlantis'ish ending - to give a slight nod at the many myths about a powerful and ancient civilization. I guess they "had" to do it this way, to tie the story with modern history. All in all I really enjoyed the ending, reminded me a bit of Babylon 5 (emotionally anyway) - and I'm a little sad that it's over, but glad that it had a good/proper ending. It's funny how you get invested in these kind of things...
