  1. I'm game for some co-op!
  2. I'm glad I ran this by you guys first.. After thinking about it (again) and consulting my fellow GM, we've decided to go with 750-1000 vampires.. one in 10.000 is seems more reasonable - especially since there needs to be room for Mages etc. (like Maria said).. Thanks for your input!
  3. He's taking a leap of faith based on Kara's assumptions, she did help them get to Earth and I think he trusts her wierd feelings. Like any parent would I guess. And the crew trusts Adama, so there we are..
  4. Jeez this game is tough! I didn't survive more than 2-3 minutes at a time in the battles I've tried.. I even got killed by a richochet bullet! Phew.. I think you need some masochistic tendencies to get good at this.
  5. I was entertaining a theory that the dying leader turned out to be the Galactica itself. As for Starbuck, don't expect much. Katee Sackoff was not happy with the way her story arc was left hanging. Looks like there may be some loose ends after all is done, but that may be by design to leave creative room if they ever pick the title back up. Personally I hope they do not. I think for the most part this series has been very well done and further production can only detract from it. I know there have been some rumblings of unhappieness with the show on this thread but I believe that most of you agree that this was a quality show. Not too many come along you can say that about. For my money this was the best Sci Fi on TV since DS9 wrapped up. I have to agree, it had it's bad moments (most of season 3 for me), but overall I think it's one of the better Sci-Fi shows I've seen. About the loose ends - I heard that they might make a film, to finish it off. Looking very much forward to the climactic finale!
  6. Yeah I know.. At least I can comfort myself with the fact that it is a common mistake.
  7. doh.. in MTW2 I once hit my own king with a rouge trebuchet shot. He was the only one of his entire unit to die.. Apparently I had hit the fire at will button for one of them. edit: and while we're at it.. in the first naval battles I managed to sink one my own ships, by having a 3rd rate shoot through an enemy sloop and then hit the stored gunpowder on my brig on the other side. It looked pretty wicked... heh
  8. I would be interested in a ten day trail.. I've thought about buying it since it came on sale on Steam, but I want to see how the other players are online.
  9. Wizards are scions of arcane magic. Wizards tap the true power that permeates the cosmos, research esoteric rituals that can alter time and space, and hurl balls of fire that incinerate massed foes. Wizards wield spells the way warriors brandish swords. Magic lured you into its grasp, and now you seek to master it in turn. You could be a bespectacled sage searching for dusty tomes in forgotten sepulchers, a scarred war mage plying foes with fireballs and foul language in equal measure, a disgruntled apprentice who absconded with your master's spellbooks, an eladrin upholding the magical tradition of your race, or even a power-hungry student of magic who might do anything to learn a new spell. A cloak of spells enfolds you, ancient rituals bolster your senses, and runed implements of your craft hang from your belt. Effervescing arcane lore pulses through your consciousness, a constant pressure craving release. When will you know enough magic to storm the ramparts of reality itself?
  10. Do you like the game LC? I played it for a few months on and off before I got tired off it..
  11. No not really - most of them are made so that they are the most challenging on VH/VH - but if you play on Medium or Hard it's just like the vanilla.
  12. Medieval II mods: Broken Crescent - Moves the entire campaign to the Arabian/Persian lands.. I've always enjoyed playing the Muslim factions, so this is a favorite for me. Kingdoms Expansion mods: Stainless Steel - Makes some massive changes, including an upcoming AOR recruitment based on the cultural area of the settlements. Grand Campaign Mod - My favorite! includes all the factions and units from the Kingom Campaigns into the vanilla campaign, with a much larger map and better AI. Including a garrison script (causes settlements to recieve free units when besieged, so you can't steamroll the bigger nations anymore)
  13. Maybe it's because I haven't played it that many times, but I actually like ToB quite alot.. It felt like a good endning for the series. Come to think of it.. I've yet to do a a complete game, from Candlekeep to the Throne of Blood.. hmm
  14. Not really - but it's a hilarous mix of several fantasy films (Riddick, Aliens, Troy etc) all painted over to look like the 80s series Thundercats.
  15. I'm laughing my buttocks off at a Danish TV stations pathetic attempt to mimick the Oscar ceremony.. they've invited some English and American artists to present the awards - why would they even bother coming to a Danish award ceremony? Oh the agony of a small country thinking it can be big..
  16. Guess there are some factors that play into it. The French have tried to invade England, along with it's ally Spain - I managed to repel the attack. I'm hanging on by my finger nails and I only survived by doing some really risky moves - one was talking as many of the French colonies in North America, with too few forces though and that ended up costing me alot of money, which I didn't have - but luckily it got me a peace treaty. Then I invaded Cuba to get the Spanish to back off. The Spanish have totally decimated my fleets, so I sailed an entire force over in one brig. I find the AI attack when I least wants it too and where it hurts the most - maybe I'm just "lucky", but I think its smarter than in the previous games.
  17. Imagine a cross between MTW2 and Mount & Blade... I would pay good money for that..
  18. I read something about a small button and the lower right corner after the battle, where you can choose to acquire the ships - after that you need to sail to port and recruit some sailors for them.
  19. I could really use the manuel.. I just found out about trade ships and what they do (I thought they were cheaper war ships) - I haven't used them yet.. so I'll try to see if setting up tradeposts helps with my economy.
  20. As far as I know it's a rare, but acknowledged, issue - CA talked about fixing it in the next patch, I believe, on the TW center forums.
  21. I don't know why - but I suck at handling the economy in ETW1 compared to MTW2! I have a fairly big navy, though it's not that much bigger than the French. I only have 2 armies, who aren't full (so it's much smaller then the other European armies). The rest of my settlements are guarded by either nothing or a few militamen. Still I'm losing almost 5000 coins a turn now and I had to cheat in order not to go totally bankrupt. If I sold ALL my armies I would have a positive income. I keep updating the income buildings and taxes are set as high as they can.. no avail though. It's hurting my expansion so hard that I've given up on going to india and just focus on North America - and now total war has broken out in Europe and every major power is participating... I'm doomed! Guess I have to learn the quirks of this game..
  22. News to me too, thanks for the update Harlequin, do you have a link to the story?
  23. At least she left him the house... good one..
  24. I was thinking the same.. haha
