  1. The Caption was: I'm Gordon Ramsay and welcome to Hell's Kitchen
  2. D4s seem just like a way to help sell dice sets. Just toss them in a river and pair up numbers on your D8s.
  3. It's industrial techno from the growing Chinese electronic music scene, It's on a US label though. I can see your comparison, this guy is really stirring up the techno scene at the moment.
  4. Personally I don't see anything compelling in this as an actually effective training tool, seems more like a cynical attempt to sell another "Ed-Tech" product to some publicly funded school district.
  5. I wonder how many millions of jump statements just got inserted into all my binaries...
  6. Ships are referred to as being whatever the Captain is privy to, because Captains are supposed to be married to their ships. Also why can't there just be a generic prefix, article, adjective token. I don't really get the fuss. Seems like he's trying to control some sort of limiter feature that forces the player into some historic ship naming scheme. Just let people write in what they want. If I want ride the however many seas of Eora on Boaty McBoatface, the let me do so.
  7. This should be Aloth. He is ALREADY half-woman Which is exactly why he shouldn't. Basically all of the male companions from PoE except Aloth are masculine. Edér boast about his sexual experiences with women. Hiravias flirts aggressively with women. Durance likes to call women whores. Kana tries to flirt with Maneha as well. Their personalities suffice to avoid any questions about their masculinity or sexuality. They are unquestionably men. Aloth is the only male companion who is shown to be weak, a coward even. As can be seen right here this creates questions about his sexuality. Aloth being bisexual or gay really would confirm some problematic stereotypes. Nevermind the whole issue of Iselmyr. Being sometimes female has a whole other set of complications. Isemyr would contribute to an association of homosexuality or bisexuality with being transgender. Presumably Deadfire will mostly played by people who identify as straight who tend not to differentiate between sexual identity, behavior and attraction. Nontheless Carrie Patel wrote Aloth and Maneha. Of all writers she appears most eager to write characters who don't confirm to gender roles. Therefore I'd say the likelihood of Aloth being interested in men is unfortunately still quite high if Patel wrote him in Deadfire. I fully support this. Plus there is Aloth and Iselmyr, no need to blur the lines between them. If Aloth grants Iselmyr use of his body at times, (which would be a neat player choice, particular if it wasn't setup merely to unlock additional romantic options) then maybe we can have Iselmyr pursue relations in addition. But I think it would be far more compelling to have Aloth grow into strength as a character, to become self asserting. There is so much great material in there that ties him to the Aedyr empire. He is our lens into it.
  8. So I've played both Quest and Quest 64. Which is interesting because I've never owned a 64.
  9. I rank Rogue One much higher than most of you all. Empire = A New Hope Return Rogue One Force Awakens The Last Jedi Phantom Revenge ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Things that a trash start below here... ... ... ... ... ... ... Eventually we'll get there ... ... ... ... ∞ Opps guess the list of trash goes on forever so we'll never quite get there.
  10. I hope their communities are tossed once again into chaos and we can see how people regather in the ashes.
  11. I'm wondering if you'll be able to fit all the results into the OP.
  12. Endless Space 2 is probably the best handled Space 4x since Sins of a Solar Empire. That company just has the knack for 4x games.
  13. Oh, Red Letter. I never got into their stuff. You have to admit, he looks a bit like a young Feargus.
  14. Is that Feargus?
  15. That's not actually how I mean that. I mean the world limited to, the world of. That world.
  16. You'll notice they don't have exclusive ownership. Israel is a highly diverse country. Unlike the surrounding region which is 98% Islamic with the rest mostly being Zoroastrian or other non-Abrahamic faiths. Zionism was wrong, but it's done. Does the rest of the middle east claim ownership to their land for eternity? You can play that game endlessly, and as of now that region seems the least keen on globalization out of the whole globalized world. Yet they benefit amongst the most by it, and even further have tried to nationalize their land lottery.
  17. I'm finding it irritating that Mecca and Medina are closed to non-Muslims, and Jerusalem is continually used as a wedge to further disenfranchised the Jewish peoples by shrinking the world that they can inhabit. Coming off the coat tails of the Holocaust, and returned to a homeland which they were driven at knife's edge away from. It's no wonder that they have had to play turtle with knife. The world responsible for driving a people's from it's homeland, and the world responsible for the mass slaughter continue to take the least responsibility for their roles. Germany first of all should be ashamed to even show up for such a vote, the least they could do was abstain. Once again America bears the responsibility of eating Europe's sin, and the Middle East will never find end to hunting the Jew.
  18. Are we going to get two apology threads in two days?
  19. What a year it's been! Hard to believe the world of Eora expands in just a few months. I wish the team a well earned respite this holiday season!
  20. SMage, you are playing a dangerous game.
  21. Apparently those things actually work.
