I think the Luongo trade kind of show a shift because of the new rules and subsequent higher scoring. Teams will probaly be more apt to signing position players to large contracts and dealing with having a goalie who might not be quite as good. Of course I say this while Chicago is in the 2nd year of a huge multiyear deal with a goalie.

My friend Stephen works at this frameshop/art store and they have all these drawings done by mental patients and such at the state school. This stuff is reminiscent of that stuff and from what I hear it sells pretty well. If you were to "remarket" it you might be looking at a goldmine here. I believe there is a bias with Eastcoast writer, just like there a bias with Westcoast writers. People naturally think more of the players they see all the time. Really its only those teams in the middle that get screwed.

Well Chicago will draft 3rd I believe, my guess is either Staal or Toews. The problem is that Chicago has a win now attitude, but not the player and Khabibulin's contract is such a burden. Of course if Ruutu and Daze can make it back who knows.
