A Big ********* To Obsidian and LA
Laozi replied to buttfacepoop's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Its amazing how even if you are a dyed in the wool supporter you can only really say that the game is marginally good -
He doesn't really look much like Jesus, more like an anorexic grizzly adams

Ya, but it gets so bad its funny. You're standing there trying to heal party members and you turn around and they're gone, I still especially like it when someone just runs through a couple of mines though its the best

It seems like to be they did a pretty good job of portraying the three types of women :D

I would think this assignment is already due

Because its one thing to destroy the sovereignty of a small nation, but much harder to do so to multiple larger nations. I thought that could be inferred sorry. And as far as U.S. being self-sufficent, it pretty much was, we could easily supply our own food, industry, etc. Exporting was indeed a fair size industry, but certainly not one that was vital, ie. agriculture, but that too sould be easily inferred. When your large enough to produce more then you can use you're at the very least self sufficent.

Congratulations on Screwing it up Obsidian

Bye-bye -
Nope, no way Germany can hold all of Europe, simply impossible. Even if they conquer both Russia and England the central government in Berlin goes bankrupt because it would take years just to get conquered nations "up and going" again. Not being able to pay the military that you use to control the lands is folly, see roman empire. Also you have to see in each country their would be heavy underground resistance sabotaging Germany at every turn. If you are aware of economics at the time of WWII then you would know that the U.S. was completely self-sufficent thus having an quasi-isolationist stance during the early part of the war. I would not ignore the fact that if things had turned out differently and Europe could have taken care of itself the U.S. would have remained a silent supporter. But thats obvioulsy not what happened. If the U.S. would have been inclined to they could have easily "sat out" the war and let Germany's conquest destroyed itself from within. Remember theres no Death Stars in WWII. If we were so concerned about another dominate superpower, why not go to war against Russia while we had all our troops over there like Genreal Patton said?

yep

Ya he's easily "turnable" I just try not to give him any powers that are armor restrictive and just use the best medium armor especially since hae has such a low dex to begin with anyway

When KOTOR was created, was the TSL story in mind?

What experience? Playing the Harry Potter game? Nope I don't think too many people here would play that game -
24 and currently trying to Tame a Shrew. I guess shes not that bad

No it doesn't really prove you point. If the U.S. would have tried your little scheme, then Germany and Italy declare was on the U.S., plain and simple. As for being "invaded" its a simple matter of logistics. Germany was already streched, i wouldn't say thin, but streched, after the occupation of france. Now lets say Germany is completely sucessful in Europe and manages to control England and Russia, huh. Now I've played Wolfenstein too, and even if the Germans had "monsters" and such it would still be all but impossible for the germans to build a navy(if you read much about naval war the germans ha a smaller navy then the british), move its troops across the Atlantic, and sucessfully occupied the United States. Its not even good science fiction, I mean maybe if cloning had been discovered or something of that nature, but in no way could they have occupied america. So as a result of that, then america could have easily continued an isolationist policy if that had been its will.

For a long time I was really against the players for not wanting a salary cap even though the biggest sport in america, football has one. Its made football into by far the most competitve sport and basketball is heading the same way. That was before I found out that there was no revenue sharing. Basically if there isn't it mean that more then likely only the "big market" teams will be spending anywhere close to the salary cap. I know it means 3 million instead of 4 for a middle of the pack players, but on the other hand it like this billionair gets to pocket another million instead of having a competitive team

It really seems that the success of the first three episodes can only be attributed to circumstance. Some limitations in technology, financial, some in time seem to have played a major part in Lucas not "screwing up" the most beloved films of my childhood. From the new films to the EU George Lucas and the people looking become leeches off the Star wars name, seem not to be content until it is totally run into the ground

So the agreement kind of makes it hard to say that america's only issue was with Japan. And then theres the fact that america was selling weapons to the british for next to nothing. A country with only its interest in mind probaly wouldn't have much of a problem making a healthy profit off such things

Read above, I don't know how else to put it but I was saying to stop posting new threads. I have several times defended people on both sides of the fence in their right to post what they want. Perhaps my comment on "trying to convince themselves" misleads you, but I'm not saying you don't have the right to an opinion or the right to make one, just don't start new threads especially when the one right below it says the exact same thing. But once again thank you for your concern, NeverwinterKnight, have I told you lately that I love you?
-
nope, if you will, try to think back to your first history lessons. You might recall that Japan/Germany/Italy had this thing, it was sort of an agreement. What was that thing called?
-
I've never said it was wrong to post your opinion, the closest thing to that I've said that J'aden's opinion seems to have a little less validity considering he had aready begun the same arguement before he even played the game. And I think you've ignored the fact that my comment was on starting new threads and that two new threads were enough, I beleive I've even heard you complain about topics getting pushed off the page, isn't that what basical happens when you post the same type of thread over and over again? I didn't think I was being so cryptic. I'll be sure to make my post a little simplier as to not provoke your nitpicking

I really hope they do that. The ending of K2 left me with the same aftertaste I had when I read TotJ. I'd rather they didn't explore all the 'True Sith Empire' business. It doesn't feel very 'star wars-y' to me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have to ask, if they didn't do the "True Sith" thing(which I agree I hope they don't do that) Then why make the game about Revan or The Exile?
-
call me a fanboi then but i love kotor2 more than kotor1 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> O.K. Fanboi, but then someone has to do what they're told, otherwise we wouldn't have Britney Spears, or the new U2 album. Zelshin's right even though I shelled out $50 for the game, I wouldn't object to them "revisting" the game. It is quite solid up until you return to Dantoonie

KOTOR 3 in March's Game Informer
Laozi replied to PlagueWielder's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yes I've indeed read pretty much all of Kurt Vonnegut's work, but no I live in Austin Tx, but I'm originally from Brenham, Tx -
I'm pretty sure I've commented on the fact that the reasons given to the american public about Vietnam are indeed a farce, but if you really believe that america only had its best interest in entering WW II the I think its you who are kidding yourself
