  1. Can someone explain "thin blood" and how to avoid it?
  2. But you guys already have vampires!
  3. I blame Europeans (specifically the rabid anti-Americans). (w00t)
  4. How can I stop the memory leak?
  5. Yes, and of course that's assuming that technology can pick up the slack.
  6. Falling number of workers aside, technology like automated services may keep productivity up to shoulder more of the work.
  7. Nature's already taking its course since their numbers are dwindling while others are taking over.
  8. Minsc and Boo were funny for the whole of 5 minutes.
  9. He is extreme though his point about the birth rates is fair. He's right that Europe might find it hard to support a retiring population too if it comes to that.
  10. Generally yes. However recent events have highlighted some immigrant youths that are feeling alienated from their new countries' culture and people and are getting disillusioned with their lot in life.
  11. How did Bloodlines, a Mature rated game sell anyway? Btw, if it's a story about vampires it could be interesting if the game started in the Renaissance (or any other period), you went into hibernation and you awake in the modern day. Cue transition issues etc (using archaic language to speak etc).
  12. My nickname at the mahjong table was the Silent Assasin.
  13. I don't know about a sequel, but a game set in Requiem (since Masquerade was discontinued) would be really awesome.
  14. Baby seal fur ftw!
  15. A lot of deforestization is not done by evil mega$ corporations, but by farmers that slash and burn pristine forest to plant their crops.
  16. Btw is a SNES console, used but in great condition worth anything?
  17. I thought about that but I didn't want to get mixed up with other parts like the thorax etc.
  18. It's not so much that I'm not open to new things.........it's a gigantic spider. I have absolutely no desire to eat a large, furry spider. In fact, the thought itself makes me quite . <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They chucked the body (minus the twisted off back) over the fire to singe off the fur. After that they patted it down to dust off any remaining fur. The tarantulas were normal size - they're palm sized. I watched with morbid interest how easily they twisted off the back from the silently screaming tarantulas.
  19. National Geographic showed a tribe of hunters that ate roasted tarantulas. First they twisted off the back (terminology?) and squeezed out the eggs into a banana leaf, roasted that and ate it (turned gooey cake from gooey slush). Then they roasted the remainder, peeled it and ate it (including cracking open the legs to get the meat). They said it's like crab. In the end, they used the fangs as wicked toothpicks.
  20. Damn, those facehuggers give a nasty bite.
  21. AHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHHA. YES. YES..................
  22. Reptiles produce tons of offspring, hoping some of them survive. Mammals produce fewer but nurture them, increasing their survival rates. The similarity is that both wish to increase the expected number of survivers. Similarly, game producers could try lots of new intellectual properties, some hit and some miss and then continue down the ones that were successful. Or, they could keep making sequels or games that follow closely a formula that's worked before. Perhaps try new IPs within a popular setting (say as NWN or BG were set in D&D)? Which strategy is expected to create more success (and get project funding?)? Maybe it's natural to feel out what works initially and then keep working on things that have been successful in the past.
  23. Add bacon 4TW!
  24. Learn how to transcend the face value and embrace the essence of pizza.
