Actually Weds (original plan was Tues) now since the advance party (ie friend) was told last Friday that the cherries needed a little more time so harvesting should only start around Weds. Feel sorry for the dude cause he's sitting on his hands doing nothing there for half a week.

I think Pirates was brilliant. For the first time in a long while I was absolutely pumped while and after I watched a movie.

He was? Anyway I had a few quicksaves leading up to getting into the office undetected through the rafters. My original plan was to take a straight route out of the bay doors back to the starting point as I mentioned, but I ended up trying to go through a door at the back (goons blazing behind me). It ended up in a kind of dead-end fenced up thing with a pretty hard door to lockpick, and the 2nd vampire that I needed to defeat. It was pretty funny - I'm frantically looking for a way to escape and I find a door (yay!) but it turns out to be a room with some shotgun shells.

Pirates is awesome. I can't wait for the sequel!

I gave up after I got trapped in the Santa Monica warehouse. Basically I snuck through the rafters, planted the bomb and planned to gtfo, running past everything with the Toreador's speed blood ability out of the warehouse loading bay doors. It turned out tha the doors had been locked sometime and basically I got stuck there with tons of gun toting goons and nowhere to escape - not even back through the rafters. Nice game though.

I'm leaving on Tues to earn some cash picking fruit (mostly cherries) with some friends over summer and should be back around mid January. Hopefully there's internet cafes where I'll be at. Maybe there'll be news on NJ by the time I'm back and be able to afford multiple copies of NWN2 when I'm back. On a related note, after some analysis I realised that food and accomodation costs (beyond what it would be if I didn't go) shouldn't be factored into the decision whether I should go fruit picking. That's because they're a sunk cost - whether or not I go I'll be spending that so expensing that in calculating the expected earnings would negatively bias the decision when it shouldn't be taken into consideration. If anything, I expect there to be savings on accomodation since we'll be camping. That's the economics lesson for the day. Well, I suppose the negative experience of "roughing it out" camping with friends without a bed, internet etc should be considered some kind of cost, but I know people that like that sort of thing.
