  1. I can't count the times I've wanted to power attack an enemy to finish him off and thrown a molotov on the both of us instead. Maybe there is no power attack. As far as I can see it goes. 'tap' for mele attack and 'hold' for grenades, but there is supposed to be a power attack when you hold and don't have grenades equipped. How do you power attack with a grenade type selected. Near as I can tell there is no way to unselect a grenade type without going into the pipboy. Really stupid bit of console 'one button does everything' that. Yes, that game is quite awesome despite all the flaws. If you are on the fence, hesitating, don't, get it.
  2. I'm going to take a wild guess here and suggest that moderate muslims don't feel they have to apologize for people they don't agree with.
  3. You gotta admit it's really bad PR for Islam. People want easy solutions, they are always looking for scapegoats, so when something like this happens they wonder what else is wrong with the muslim religion, since it has so much room for this kind of thing. There aren't that many religions where you so often hear of people shouting 'god is great' while committing atrocities, not anymore anyway. Of course it's all politics and all shades of gray, and religion is just a tool in an asymmetrical battlefield.
  4. I've got another. The railroad are the ones who kill your husband/wife, they do it to find the institute, making use of the most intense of human movtivations, mother's/father's love for their son. and/or you are synth 1000 sent back from the future and/or programmed with the memory of the murder of your husband. The last humans are trapped inside the institute and they can't get out.
  5. Ok so disclaimer : don't know the twist. Buut. I can't watch a movie without guessing at the plot. In no particular order : You are a synth. Everybody in the commonwealth is a synth. The infiltrators sent out by the institute are actually humans. The institute needs you to recreate the human race (because everybody is a synth and you are the only remaining human) Battlestar Gallactica human-synth baby synthesis. The matrix/Vanlilla Sky you are in a simulation trying to get out.
  6. I've been getting a pretty heavy Battlestar Gallactica feel and I've been staying away from main missions, as you do in a Bethesda game.
  7. You need special power cells to power your armor, which are a rare resource, most of the game you will be without it. If you are doing something exceedingly hard or with a level disparity you can come back in power armor and kick ass. Good choice I think. You have power armor long enough to feel awesome and not log enough to be fed up with it. Fiddled a little more with the settings, everything is on high except depth of field and god rays, Fov set to 90. Runs just fine, although I do get stutter with multiple hostiles 6-8 or more. Those encounters are so rare that I'm not that bothered by it.
  8. Watched what I presume to be the spaceship crash landing and tried to guesstimate the point of impact. Lots of creeping around and running from high level opposition and I couldn't find it. No alien blaster. dammit.
  9. I have strenght 1 and Endurance 1 and I have trouble making room for everything, which is fine. I can always come back with power armor if there are too many goodies lying around. Don't feel that hindered by those low stats generally though. So min maxing is probably the way to go.
  10. then why does a desk fan have three salvagable components listed next to it ? Future DLC item perhaps.
  11. Has anyone figured out how to break down junk to it's base components. I noticed that various junk had what could be harvested from it listed next to it. A special work bench ?. Where ?.
  12. Fallout is a good match for the kind of 'fort building' that has been cropping up in indie survival games of late. So far I haven't even been able to mend the broken fences, much less build a wall with a moat full of mirelurks with laser beams strapped to their heads. I guess the point is to judge how dilligently you have done the minuitemen missions at some point. Anyone else find it convenient that the minuitemen character is black. The redcoats famously freed any slave who could escape and join up. No mention of slavery in the game at all so far. The irony would be too poignant ? If you are going to do american history in Fallout games, and it seems like that's now an integral theme with Bethesda, how about doing more than plucking out random names and faces and reducing them to stereotypes.
  13. They stretched it too thin and made it a boring city management minigame where you have to unlock all sorts of things instead of just letting you go wild and build whatever you want.
  14. I've had no serious framerate drops and my GFX just makes the minimum requirement. Go figure. Set everything to medium and then cranked up all the view distance sliders to just shy of max. Perhaps the texture streaming is making use of my manly 32 gb of ram ?.
  15. Got a radiation bug now. Max health reduced by almost 70% and I have no radiation. So yeah, not really an option playing on until that's fixed. Enjoying it though. Was anyway.
  16. It says that such and such attribute 'affect' so and so but it doesn't say by how much, there are no stats beyond % buffs given by perks. Don't know if attributes help weapon damage for instance. It should, but I have nothing to compare against.
  17. Is it me or are the perks pretty lackluster. They could have done most of it with skills which are now gone. Edit: not too crazy about the dependencies either. Max out agility and you will be a ranged master of .... pistols ?.
  18. I think you get the choice of a perk or a special point every level. All the best ones demand a maxed out special attribute. Perception is rifles and agility is handguns. Automatic anything is for some reason a category of its own.
  19. Look for fGamma in Fallout4.ini should be there if it's the same as Skyrim. You realise that would mean staring at the loading screen between every minuite adjustment. Not acceptable. You would think there would be time somewhere in the 7 years it took to make this game to provide the bare minimum for a PC user.
  20. No key remapping. Can't play with a controller and a mouse at the same time either. I am dissapoint.
  21. FO 3 was almost 7 years ago. I don't exactly feel flooded with fallout titles.
  22. Why are you complaining about performance issues on consoles. Why on earth would you want to get it for condole. (hint : no mods)
